no. if that was aimed at me.
  2. Power Boost turns Conductive Aura into a sapping dream. Sure it may not take as big a cunch per hit out of an end bar. the SPS (Sapping Per Second (i hope ive just invented some suepr cool new acronym)) potential of the Aura, without (but especially with) PowerBoost, far exceeds Short Circuit.

The only reason I thought Short Circuit may out perform CA in the long run may be electric Controls lack of a -recovery power, but then I just checked, nearly every power has a chance (heck some dont even have a chance, they just do!) od shutting down -100% recovery to the target. Now even a cheap attempt at perma dom, if they wanted, could easily be flinging enough quick -recovery chances out there, combined with CA, to atleast cut par with a sapper. Adding in powerboost to all that is just gravy.

more than one, but yeah. Hopefully its all there in the game files and they could assign this "call the contact only" code to him and let it be.

    One Shot TFs

While it would be pretty cool to do a little task force with never seen before enemies it would be a complete waste of Dev time to do it, putting in the costume design time for a whole faction alone would be an epic missadventure if they only made it into one TF.

Now if some device existed that the Devs or externally welll credited writers could put in a relatively small amount of effort and come up with a TF-esque story line, while being able to make their own custom critters and assign them powers that would be pretty aweomse...oh, wait.
  5. The only recipes unavailable for purchase with regular merits are purples and PvPs. (and costume pieces, respecs and temps)
The only recipes unavailable for purchase with A Merits is non (maybe temps)

I fail to see the problem. And if you fail to see the recipes, maybe your doing it wrong? try adjusting the level slider of the vendor till its in that recipes range...
  6. Earth still does it better imo. But played correctly I think Elec is up there too, it just requires a new mentality for control sets.
  7. its been discussed / known since before the set was introduced.

The Devs either havnt got the tech or the desire to add a whole IF layer of commands to pseduopets to summon different pets with higher mags if they are created while Domination is active.

Would I like them to? yeah! no Dominator set would get weaker with this, but a few (Hello Earth control) would get a little bit alot more powerful. Ultimately this would widen the gap in control between sets, rather than bring them closer together, and unlike most control sets, Electric has been designed with the knowledge that this is the way that it is with Domination and pesuopets.
  8. casual observances: Less Damage, More soft control - in knockdown and end drain.
  9. Yeah Cottage Rule!

tbh, they could change all of the T4 travels and I wouldn't bat an eye lid. But yeah some people use them so I would be more down with adding some alternative T4s.

    Pet Resist Aura

i'll echo Pitho. Possible from some MMs and all trollers. Very helpful.

Less helpful for trollers since you could take up 4 slots from your (maybe only) 1 pet with all 4 of the defensive/resistance procs.

its dissapointing, but then by the time i had enough accuracy in the aura for it to be reliably hitting nearly every tick I was also waylaying erverything anyway, so who knows what was stunned and what wasnt!?

(p.s. This event could have been held in Halesowen but I thought a more central location with more transport links, shops, pubs and other places would be better. Plus it's just around the corner from the old Omega Sektor)
Driving would be cheaper for me, considering how close I live to london, its stupidly expensive how much I have to pay for a train into that stupid city (i like to complain alot)

In all honesty, if I wasnt working that weekend, I would probably come, as the drive isnt as bad as I made out, and brummie was actually alright, except for the parking

I'd agree with the second point though, it's End Expensive and a Domi probably has more useful options to take. Jolting Fences is certainly one of them, amazingly useful and cool looking power (and very interesting PROC options IMO).
id quick glanced at a few other toggles and they all had bigger radius, 12s or 15s, looking at more, I can see alot more hitting that 8 radius, so maybe its not as small area as I thought. Still, I dont see small ticks from this power being very helpful, vs the burst damage available in other AoEs in the set, which will not disrupt your sleep as much.

Earth is pretty end heavy too, even slotted sensibly (that is just SOs tho, should get better when I IO up) so I find i've better things to waste my endurance on. Also with APPs theres alot of choice for AoE thats better than mud pots.

    Bugged Bodyguard

remember, Follow Defensive takes a few seconds to activate Bodyguard protection. Goto Defensive on the other hand activates Bodyguard straight away, and they begin responding to threats against you, straight away.
  16. Personally I play up/down/left/right instead of WASD as I'm left handed.

the very first thing i do is open more trays, as you have been shown how (but its worth noting that Alt Gr (next to space bar) does it too)

movements go in tray 2, and get bound to non-numerical numpad buttons (+, enter etc)

tray 1 is all numerical numpad keys and the keys above the arrows get bound to any other powers I need to use alot too.

This I find to be my optimum play style, and its pretty awesome you can do it imo. Hardlocked keybinding is the worst thing a game can do ever.
  17. Mud Pots' range isnt anything other than useless, making it, imo, the one definately skippable power in the whole Earth Assault Pool.
  18. given my last driving endeavour to brummie took so much longer than expected, and the carparks there (and hotels) are all clearly owned by the devil.

I'll be giving this a miss. But if anyone one day organsies one near somewhere interesting I'll be up for it *is finished slagging of brummie for now*

Although I haven't tested this. So stick with either a chance for hold or damage.

Even a Tempest: Chance for End Drain would go well with this power. Possible for Force Feedback: Chance for +Recharge, which triggers regualy I've found for that small boost to recharge every now and then

If Entropic Chaos's proc does trigger on the target, that owuld be a bug, is this quantative research, or are you just throwing a mad guess out there? The proc description reads that it heals "caster" not "target" so the first jolt could proc to heal you, the rest the pseudopet. Either way, you were right that it is a pointless point to place it.

The performance shifter proc is not bugged. it clearly states that it will give the "target" endurance, which is exactly what it will do if it procs. Gives your enemies endurance. its not a bug in the proc, more a design flaw since theres precious little powers that it really benefits for it to proc on target.

As been mentioned Force Feedback is a wasted slot here if you have other knockdown powers. Since only the first jolt has a proc chance, its much better serving in AoEs.

But otherwise, yes Damage procs would be a good idea, aswell as the hold and -endurance procs should all serve some usefulness. Slotting for knockback not a good idea as it will change it to knockBACK from knockDOWN, and you dont want that.
  20. My Demons MM has the rather unimaginative back story of being overcome by her fathers demonic powers when he passed them on to her. As she and the essence of the demon inside her became more powerful, she has surpassed it in willpower, and has been able to start acting for a good cause.

Its pretty lame, but i had the benefit of that always being the plan when I made her. My current level 50 stalker is too evil to go Hero, he may go vigilante, as that seems more "true" villain, self serving rather than arachnos serving.
  21. Every 10 seconds it would have a chance to Proc on the caster of the sleep effect....which is the psuedopet.
  22. Vigilante. But not without a Moral Code as you say. I would strive to make the world a better place (either as I see it, or attached to some organisation or other) but ultimately my actions would be for the greater good, and maybe a little bit of revenge for flavour.

If they are not on the floor.

Bosses, even in early levels are a breeze as long as you time your knockdowns for when they will be due a recovery tick. If they get it on their bum, chances are its gonna be gone before they are up.
  24. So I noticed something with Synaptic Overload Last night.

If you cast it on an enemy with mez protection the graphical affect is applied to them when the power arcs to a nearby enemy.

Example one (no bosses): Encountering Mangle in a Tip mission, from stealthed (SS+IO) I place Synaptic Overload on Mangle and watch it arc to the Banished Pantheon Minion next to him, he has the graphical affect (the normal purple bubbles and a small electric sphere around his head) which donates hes confused, as does the minion. They appear to start fighting.

I turn my back to deal with the 3rd minion in his spawn, and before I can say ouch! hes ran up behind me and smacked the daylights out of me, all while still appearing to be confused. Hospital, return to mission, try again. This time I notice that while it appear hes fighting, it is simply that hes gone intot the combat stance as hes being attacked. I then experiment with placing the confuse on the minion it arcs to mangle, but he doesnt gain the confuse graphical affect.

Example two (no Bosses): Fighting Arachnos in a Morality Mission I notice again that while the Wolf Spider Operatives appear to be confused, they only have eyes for me. The same testing shows they dont gain the graphical affect when it arcs to them, but only when its placed on them, but they artna ffected by it.

Now i'm 95% sure that enemies than are not confused by a normal confuse power (I'm thinking illusion control since thats my main) do not display any graphical sign theyve been hit with the power, and it is only with enough Magnitude applied that they are actually under the Mez, that they display the graphic. (as it is for holds, immobs, sleeps, stun etc etc)
  25. Fire/Kins take only SO level investment to get off the ground. And with more investment, only get quicker and better at what they are generally considered, to be the best at, which is smushing big groups of minions to earn you bread.

If trollers artn your style. then elec/shield scrappers, while not as brill as they were, are still pretty awesome.
