Even after the server upgrade freedom was still in the yellow regularly. I remember virtue actually took freedoms number one spot for awhile and was in the yellow more often than freedom. To me its pretty obvious the population is smaller than it was when the server was upgraded. Back then a search on prime time would show 1000 people online. Now I'm lucky if I see 500.
/search is not really a good indication of population either. You have to remember the amount of spam we used to get and how many people used to /hide from searches to avoid getting added to spam-lists. Many people still have not turned that option back on after the recent e-mail options were added. -

Either check the box that says "safe mode" on the updater (to log in on absolute minimum preferences, and you can change themonce you get in), or use TweakCoH

The green/yellow/red status on a server measures bandwidth, not population. After the server upgrades a year and a half (or so) ago, it's rare to find them in the yellow except for events such as Winter or DoubleXP. The same population we had before no longer causes as much strain on the network. That's a GOOD thing!
Don't ask for red, because that's when people start getting disconnected and zones start shutting down.
It's possible for a server to reach it's population cap and turn gray (full), before the bandwidth even gets into the red. This is also a GOOD thing! -

On a side note, you can add the second game account to your existing PlayNC account, which already has your existing billing information. It also makes it easier to manage both of them at the same time under one PlayNC account.
Also, note that I believe there is a block on purchasing the same retail item twice in the same day using the same billing information, so keep that in mind when new versions come out for upgrade. This is regardless if the accounts are under the same PlayNC account or not. -

I tried to get an exact copy of the other screenshot, but the darn "sandstorm" never went away... even after 2 full "Day cycles". Either way, there does seem to be a clear difference in the waterfall. Looking at it close-up, it is hard to believe it's just a visibility issue in the far shot. Something seems to have changed. -
Originally, I would have thought so, but when you read the "Free Server Transfer" posts carefully, it's slightly implied that this time period was partially designed to let you move any seldom-used charcters to other servers to make room for new characters on your main server.
This doesn't help people who have them all full of course, and I don't think expanding the list to a 4th column of 12 is out of the question, even if they are not free. -

Time included with purchased products isn't free its just included in the purchase - i.e. its still paid time.
Also:
If you subscribe to the "12 months + 2 free" plan, it adds 14 months to the veteran time, but it might only add 12 months to the paid time. -

Yes, I realize most people just exit the map and wait, but it's still technically in that category of a timer you must wait for.
As far as the "Stop 30" mission you are referring to, I believe that is simply a "defeat all". The mission itself is not on a timer. If you defeat everything.. the mission ends. You don't have to wait for all the mobs to eventually come as ambushes.
You are missing the more obvious Redcap mission in Croatoa though, where you guard the Henge. That is a basic timer that you must survive (or the Henge must survive). An easy way to avoid having to deal with tons of Redcap ambushes is to have a Hold power and keep one minion perma-held. If he never dies, a new ambush never comes. This is incredibly boring of course, but it's a solution for those who don't think they can succeed otherwise. -

Something is terribly wrong... Yes I have paid for 5 years of service.I started this game with a 14 day buddy trial and subscribed before the 14 day trial expired,so the 5 year 1 month vet reward is correct.
In all cases, paid time will be smaller than that, which is why they are listed separately!
You may have been "paying for 5 years", but you have not "paid for 5 years of service". ALL free time added to your account will still count toward Veteran time, but it is NOT added to your "Paid Time" cause it was FREE!

In your case, it sounds to me like you also gained a free month of service for each of the retail versions you added to your account over the years, and possibly referred at least a couple friends and got some free time that way as well. Mine is only 6 months apart, but I am missing a few retail versions that would have added time to my account as well. Did you buy them and/or refer a bunch more people?
On a side note, how are time cards handled? I know it adds to Veteran time as well, but does that count as "Paid Time"? I never used them before. -

Team "1 of each" had a good time rolling over everything tonight. We didn't have any deaths for over an hour until finally Goldberg gave in to his inner-Blaster nature and earned the "i phail" title for himself once again! haha

(I'm sorry I'm too out of it right now to give a serious answer. If I wasn't, I'd probably ask you if you see this all over the place on a regular basis, or if it was just that one time. I'd recommend doing a "verify all files", then I'd have you post your CoH_Helper report to check your drivers and settings.... I'm sure somebody will pick up where I left off. lol) -
The ONLY reason to get the pre-order is if you care about early access to the sets more than the free month of service. I'm not sold on DP, so I'm waiting to see how Demons look before deciding. Right now, I figure I'll wait and get the free month of service that comes with the Complete edition, but it's not final yet. There is still plenty of time.

Does this mean the Swiss Draw is finally working right. The last time I was on a group that tried to do this there was no sense to who advanced. People that won twice didn't advance to the final and people who lost in the 1st round did and got the badge.
To prevent problems and ensure it works "correctly", you can do 1 of 2 things:
1 - play the match normally, and find yourself a "REAL" winner.
2 - for badge purposes, WAIT FOR THE HORN of the match starting before quitting the match. This keeps everybody in sync with the elimination rounds and it should proceed the way Kheldarn mentioned above. It CAN work just quitting as soon as you zone in, but it's hit/miss and can act funny, so it's better to just wait the few extra seconds so you don't have to do the whole match over again to fix a problem.
