Freedom Horde Social Group
This Social Group area on the forum is designed to be a place to archive our events. It makes it easy to quickly find out what events are upcoming, and to find previous event threads in case we want to look back on something that happened before or compare result times / team roster, etc.

Everybody is free to join the Social Group, even if they are not "regulars" on our weekly runs, and posting freely is enabled... but I'll turn it off if I have to! We're trying to limit the posting to only linking to our events' sign up threads. Use the linked threads to sign up for events and to let us know what's going on. PLEASE try NOT to use the Social Group for general chat. It'll push our current event posts off the main page, and defeat the purpose of having them there.

Joining a group will display that group at the top of the list each time you visit the Social Group area of the forums for easy access. If you want to direct a friend to the social group area, you can now use a short and easy to remember URL to post the link within the game chat: http://tinyurl.com/FreedomHorde


For general chat, please use our global channel: "Freedom TF Chat"
This channel was designed to help organize what's going on during events so we didn't have to use /local /broadcast or /tell. I know that many new people have stumbled upon it by accident, and use it for picking up random TFs, and that's fine. We encourage anybody to run their own groups, and many of us are usually up for anything at any given time. Our upcoming events are listed in the MOTD so they are easy to keep track of as well.


I hope everybody is having a great time with us so far! I love scheduled events, and am glad I can be a part of this. Special Thanks and credit always goes to Luna for her hard work organizing the large group each Monday! I don't know how she does it. I get myself turned around when my events get to 2 teams.. but she manages to deal with 3 to 4 groups each week now! I'm more than happy to be a permanent team leader and am always thankful we have her to manage the groups ahead of time. She does a wonderful job!

I also want to recognize and thank MrE-Man for organizing the "Master of" events (even before the "Horde" was born). He's never particular about who joins or what they bring. We find a way to make it work and we've had a blast earning the badges on several characters, even when we think the team had no chance from the beginning.. and even when we fail, we learn from our mistake, and try again the next time. It's always a pleasure to be part of his groups as well. It's always a success (whether we get a badge or not)!

You should see what happens if you use Fly near them.

It doesn't do this on my Quad. Depending on what I am doing, I might have 2 cores at around 5-10% load, and the 2 cores the game is using are at around 85% for one, and 40% for the other.

Every Monday and Friday Morning.

That setting affects only the chat scrolling. Camera zoom is the same for me on a scroll speed of 1 as it is on 400.

I've seen a large number glitch every once in a while in the past. I don't know why. I would have liked being able to set it to the large number on purpose permanently... and now it has become the norm! The only problem I see is that the number isn't as large as the glitched one I used to see. lol

Even easier than that:

• Log into one of your existing characters that has all your chat tabs set up the way you want them.
• /chatsave
• log into the new character
• /chatload

All future characters will also load your new default chat file automatically upon creation.

What it's saying is that you have paid for 4 years 11 months, and earned the rest of the Veterans time through free trial, and time added by Retail purchases or referring friends.

Like Roderick said, the account info shows you your current Veteran's Time EARNED. The date you actually get the reward in-game is listed below.

You wont have actually PLAYED for 5 years until Oct 12, 2009 and you wont get the rewards in-game until some time on that date.

As another example:
I'm on an annual+2 subscription and prepaid until March of 2010, which brings me to a Veteran Reward status of 45 months, but I am currently only up to 39 in-game.

You could always pre-order when it becomes available, and you'll get in as well.

I'd still /petition so you can try to get the Loyalty badges though.

A well built team was able to fly through STF PRE I16 as well.

Yep. I play on Freedom and Global has been crazy for me too. My channels are all named gibberish as well. I'll wait for the Global Server to straighten itself out before attempting to go back in and have conversation. lol

(I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Global rename after this )

It's not ISP.. It's definitely server-side. Everybody on the team is affected by it at the same time and finally zones into the mission at the same moment as well.

By the way.. 10 minutes is not an exaggeration. I just finished an ITF (on Freedom) where the last mission took about 13 minutes to load. Some people get impatient and restart their client, but it doesn't get you in the mission any faster. It eventually gives you the "green light" and everybody loads at once.

That's what I was talking about. Global servers are screwed up again and loading into missions is taking forever.

There is no point rebooting. It's not going to get you in any faster. You just have to have uber-patience, and everybody will finally zone all at once.

Ouroboros Portal has always showed up on the Pet Window on Villainside... at least for me.

I've always wondered why it would show up on Villain, but not on Hero.. but I didn't let it worry me. I never had a probem accidentally selecting it though. As long as I was within range, I'd get the Hand cursor just fine.

The caves were not broken before. The caves broke when they fixed Talos. lol

Saving and loading files is working just fine for me.

Anybody else having that problem?

Look in the Tunnels, or any cave map. They may have fixed Talos and other outdoor areas.. but now the Tunnels/caves are broken the same way. (It was briefly mentioned in your other thread).
