Quote:True, but misleading..All of the different "quick switch" methods that have been mentioned will not stop you current character from having the 30 second timer.
The character will still have the 30 second timer, but it CAN be interrupted. Logging into the client while your "account is still online" will immediately kick your account offline and "poof" your character without any kind of countdown.
Logging back in (with the same account) at the same location does NOT result in you standing next to yourself counting itself offline. lol
EVERY method still takes you to the main login screen. -
Quote:Preceding "+$$...." doesn't delay the commands, but make the whole string run on keypress, and then again on keyrelease. The reason it works for "powexec.." strings is because of the nature of those commands (and even then, if you hold the key long enough fo the power to recharge, it'll go off again when you finally release).Try instead:
/bind <key> "+ $$buycoh$$dialogyes"
I haven't tested it, but in theory, it'd bring up /buycoh on keydown, then select /dialogyes on keyup. Don't press the key too fast or it'll muck up.
Anything else, it doesn't really work the way you might think. As soon as it runs the string once, it'd crash just the same as before.. before you even got a chance to release the key.
And for the record.. I did just test it anyway.
Also, for proof of concept, try doing something like this:
/bind <key> "+ $$L Line1$$L Line2"
Result:
Player_Name: Line1
Player_Name: Line2
Player_Name: Line1
Player_Name: Line2 -
I like to think my system is well above what people recommend to run the game these days, though I admit I have not upgraded since I built a new system a year and a half ago. Either way.. as far as specifications go.. I've got them.
However, I suppose it could be a hardware's driver, or even the OS itself that isn't handling it well.
For comparison, I'm running NVidia on WinXP using the 190.62 drivers. Processor is Intel Core2Quad. ~4GB ram.
Also, my default browser is FireFox, and that's the browser that opens for me.
Manually clicking on the "YES" does not crash me. -
Quote:You could have skipped the "installed it" part. All playable versions of the game are identical, regardless of the status of your account. All you needed to do was register the key to upgrade your subscription status. Installing from the disc could have resulted in an earlier version being installed, and then you might have had to re-download the updates to the current version again. This morning I tried to log in and the problem started again so I assumed that it could be related to the trial version so I went out and bought a copy of Architect, installed it, registered the key, and upgraded the subscription... yadayada: But I still couldn't log in!
On a side note, I don't really have any help regarding your specific problem, other than the same suggestion to post a CoH_Helper and HiJack This! log in a new thread on the Tech forum. They might shed some light on the situation. -
I just tested that cause I was curious, and it crashed me. lol
I just use "quit$$dialogyes" for instant desktop and then open a new client.. or have a second copy of the client running in the background and simply log it in (which kicks me off the other client automatically). -
Quote:Not that I know of, but it'd be nice to have it in other areas as well. The problem is that some badges earned before the feature was added might not even have a timestamp anyway.A clever idea!
However, I am only getting badges in the MOST RECENT category to display any information. Is there something I can do to get that info under other categories?
Veteran Badges and/or the PocketD VIP pass are the ones that would be issues upon character creation... so that would be the way to go, but even those would start dropping off the "recent" list because that only holds your last 50 badges (since the feature was added). -

Same here. I got rid of it a long time ago.. maybe when the Hero and Villain Event channels were introduced.

You can view them while logged out because it's using the default view, instead of your higher preference. Viewing the forums set on 500 seems to cause issues for some people. -

Sorry E. I didn't mean to imply that she was being called because of lack of good Tank-age. It was because there was a lack of players in general. lol
In reality, I think I want to bring my NRG/NRG Blaster as well. With Myrdinn and I on the team... prepare for LAG! haha -

2 deaths.
+36 Merits.
Take 1:
Well, our first mission was really fast an easy, but our second mission had the bugged AE door location, so we had to restart the TF.
Take 2:
We got different doors this time and the first 2 missions were a breeze to ghost through. Then the last mission was the usual sit and wait game. Nothing else to report besides that. I didn't even get any good drops! lol
Nice job everybody! This was too easy. When we run Respec#3, my team will be run on Invincible. -
Quote:Looks like Tabby will be called to duty once again.Mini MoITF sign-up (based on the above posts) - I'm sure we will fill up.
Follows the Hero Respec Trial #2 at approximately 11:30pm eastern
Mr E-Man: TBA (probably a brute)
Pyrewulf: Fire/Inv Scrapper
Myrdinn: Eng/Eng Blaster -
Quote:Oh yeah, when they are phased. That certainly is annoying. loli was talking about killing of the one that summon then as he does some sort of shift and i can't hit her, it like when you face Lord recluse and you get that thing and you can't attack or be attacked state
I don't remember getting that while facing LR though. -
No, but a company apparently inbetween the game servers and the particular routes to the group of people having the lag issues. They appear to be stopping and/or hindering their connection to the game servers, and there isn't anything NCSoft or the user can do about it. The servers are fine, the internet is fine, but PCCW's "hop" is saying.. NO!

I dare you to run it with 7 NRG blasters (and one tank to round them up). lol

I think it also has something to do with the sound effects and extra animation that are included with the Cimerorans that other enemy groups don't have. Hitting large groups of them with AoEs, especially an Engery Blaster's Nova, seems to cause the issue even worse when they get knocked around.
Also, the pathing errors on that particular map are well known. You can often see patrols and ambushes get hung up on shrubs and behind that archway. Running that same mission with the same team can yield different results if the ambushes and patrols are coming or going in different directions or to different locations.
It may be all your AoEs, or you were just unlucky.. but probably a combination of both. -
Quote:So which video process is responsible for handling multiple 3d environments at the same time, and can it be re-installed?The costume selection does indeed crash me out as well. It seems to be semi-limited to windows with avatars in them, and data goign directly to my mission que/nav bar.
Very odd stuff.....
By the way, I'm using the same video driver you are, and am not having the issue, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with that specific driver version.
I'm sorry if you already tried this, but has the driver or the game itself been reinstalled to try to clear it up? -
Sometimes, it may be possible for support to reinstate a character you have deleted, but you'll have to be as specific as possible about when you deleted the character, when the last time you used it.. whatever they ask you..
be very patient and be very nice to whoever is trying to help you.
Good luck! -
Quote:Technically, it's not just a team leader, it's the mission holder. You can set somebody's mission, and everybody will SK to them.. giving that person the credit instead.Yeah, it's measured by time mentoring not number of sidekicks/lackeys.
It is unfortunate that only team leaders get those badges now though.
Anybody who is concerned about getting these badges simply needs to get good missions that people want to play and/or host some teams/TFs of their own. It shouldn't be too much of a problem. -
For the illusionists, as long as you harm them at all, you'll get credit once they "fade out"... you don't have to actually defeat them. At least, that's how it used to be.

Will Captain Power return?
