  1. I just earned it the other day, so I can confirm that it still works. This was on an old toon, so there is no telling how many I have killed in the past, but I only spent about an hour or so picking them off in the open zones when I finally decided to badge-hunt with this toon and finish off this badge.
  2. What!? No Ginko!? lol. j.k

Aight well I'll be there, but I might pick my toons depending on what else get's signed up.
  3. The OP is referring to the Baracuda Task Force. There isn't any Rescue/Kidnap NPC to bring anywhere.

As I recall, you have to click them in a certain order. Start with the one on the far left, and work your way to the right. If you click the wrong one, you'll get that message.
  4. Same here. I have been having a lot of fun using the Grav power: [Wormhole].

It looks like you stealth-TPing a group of foes to a new location cause they are just walking around looking normal wherever you place them, but they are really Stunned when they get to the "other side". Once the stun wears off, they certainly start coming after you though. lol

This may not work with the chat part secondary. If it doesn't work, try reversing the actions like this.

    /bind LSHIFT "team $name is Grounded!! $$ powexec_name_web_envelope"
the order of those commands should not matter, but you have an extra undercore in there. The command should be: powexec_name "Web Envelope", and it's recommended to quote your chat text as well, which would make the new command line:
    /bind LSHIFT "powexec_name "Web Envelope"$$team "$name is Grounded!!""

Yes, the nested quotes work when used correctly, but I do admit they are not actually necessary. It's just an old programming habit of mine. lol

A "cleaner" command that still works is:
    /bind LSHIFT "powexec_name Web Envelope$$team $name is Grounded!!"
  6. Having the chose of only those 3, I'd probably go with the controller. It really depends on how well you solo, or how much you enjoy playing each of your toons, but the controller's pets and your debuffs look like the winning combination to me. That's not to say the others can't solo well.. I know they can.. but you're asking for an opinion, so there's my choice from those 3.

The other thing you might want to consider is their existing badges. You mention that you have been here for 5 months, but does that mean you first started 5 months before now, or that you tried it a while back and just came back for 5 months this time, or that your total subscribed time is only 5 months? The reason I ask is because there have been Anniversary badges given out to those logged in during certain time periods. Those are currently not possible to obtain, so any character that has one or more of those would be the ones to use.. if you were trying for as many as possible. This might not apply to you though, as I don't think we had any such badges since you started.

So with that information in mind.. none of your characters have any advantages over the others, so I might even suggest you start a new character altogether.. like a Tank or a Scrapper for your badge hunting instead. That might help you solo some of the harder stuff better, and will certainly help later on when possibly trying to farm for your damage badges. Those ATs have a higher Regeneration cap, so they wouldn't need an extra player/account to heal you repeatedly to make sure your farm works correctly.

As far as getting the healing badges, those can currently be done on any AT the same way, so I'm not considering that a factor. (I first got Empath at the old 1 billion requirement on my Katana/Regen Scrapper who has no heal-other-type powers. Just recently, I also got Empath on my Invul/Axe Tank as well. She has no heal-other-type powers either, and it took less than 3 days for me to earn my 400 rep for the required Gladiator, set up my Arena farm, and get all the badges while I was sleeping or at work. The 3 days also includes time I wasn't even farming.. when I was home and playing TFs or other activities.)

Just make sure that if you decide to make a new toon, that you do your best to get as many of the Halloween badges as you can right now, so you wont have to wait until next year.

So what will happen with Ouroboros? Is our origin story retconned, or do we get to break out of jail blueside now? vv
I guess it's questions like those that are making us wait until Spring. lol
  8. After the maintenance, I had to re-log in again yesterday too, but since I did, It has remembered me just fine.

    I agree with Flameshot.

From what's been discussed so far, it sounds like a Rogue Hero would technically still be a Hero, and simply only have access to Villain zones/contacts. They will NOT have access to Villain Black Market, and it sounds like they might not have access to Villain SG or Villain Ouroboros either. They still have to go back to Paragon City to "conduct business at Wentworths". If anything, changes like that might be made later on as a QoL change.

As you said.. Ouro/TF doesn't work the same way as regular teaming. That makes it an exception.

The message I originally quoted and was referring to had mentioned running arcs in normal play, and that only the mission holder gets the souvenir.. which is why I wanted to clarify that you can also get Souvenirs as a team during Ouro. That might be helpful to some people so they can get Souvenirs as a team without having to get contacts/mission for themselves and repeating the arc 8 times for each member or following along in "collaborative" mode.

This was information provided in general, regardless of the OP's original plan to get something at lvl 1.

Indeed, I was only clarifying the exception to "only the mission holder gets a souvenir"

Just an FYI, if you are dong an Arc in Ouro, everybody on the team gets the souvenir at the end, not just the host.

Not that I am aware of..

    Needed for Bat Wings:
    1 Demonic Threat Report
    1 Spirit Thorn
    1 Regenerating Flesh
1 Recipe: Costume Piece: Bat Wings
    5,000 Influence/Infamy
  15. I'm assuming you have the Recipe for the wings you want.. and all the appropriate salvage as well. If not.. you need to have everything, or it wont show on the table.

It should have been in the Invention category right above the Wand. If it's not there, then you probably don't have the recipe, or you are actually missing at least one of the pieces of salvage and have the "Hide recipes missing ingredient" option in the bottom-right corner of that window.
  16. Open your Team window and make sure it does NOT say "Do not accept invites".

Try hiding from everything, then unhiding from everything again... just to be sure the preference resets the way you want it.

Start your own team and look for other people instead, and don't rely on others to pick you up.

    Good luck.

This is true, and it is possible for them to get Drones and/or hung up on other NPCs on the way to the Pillboxes, but I would assume that 2 full teams would have noticed him somewhere at some point in 6 hours... especially if all the others were seen at various times.

I think he should have been around somewhere anyway though. Very bad stroke of luck indeed.

Now I feel like running this and checking if he pops up for me. lol

Wow.. I wonder why it would have been trashed like that. Is the member who created it still active?

On a side note, a funny thing is that my group's default "discussion" is now showing my OLD name (Mateo_06) as the creator, even though I changed it to Master-Blade. When clicking on the name, it still brings you to my current profile. Odd.

There are a few specific Video options that people recommend to disable in combination with each other for various reasons. I'm not sure if any of them caused a crash, but the visual result is not always what you expect, so people live without some of the extras turned on.
Technical Issues & Bugs > Sticky: ATI Issues and Settings Recommendations

I never found it much of a problem on my old, old system, but that was run on lower quality anyway due to my hardware, so that was expected. The cursor problem (while using enhancement screen) was the most annoying issue, but I adapted to it.

For all we know, this might all change with the new engine anyway.. so in either case, I'm waiting before making my next upgrade anyway.

Before i11, there was no other way to get it, but you can now get that badge by running the Villain version of the same tutorial arc mentioned above.

Just because the driver crashed, it doesn't necessarily mean it was a problem with the driver itself. It could have been the system, or a hardware problem as well. In this case, it was probably the system running the driver. Microsoft recognized a problem on their end and patched it with a hotfix. The hotfix was also included in SP1, so people upgraded to that version should not have to download any fixes.

If you still happen to have a spare drive to test it on.. it was probably just that simple.

With your list in mind, we can probably just skip the lvl 1-15 content and catch it next time.. unless you are bringing your other character to get them also. Either way is fine.
  23. I guess since everybody pretty much needs everything, we might as well just follow the linked Guide and maybe add in a couple badge missions where available as well.

! That's too funny. I love it. More creative than putting "Various" again.

I'll bring Robin. I still need pretty much all of those badges on her, so I'm open to whatever people need/want to do.

BTW, don't forget the Ice too.. "Pillar of Ice and Flame"
Although technically, that's the name of the giant one in the middle of Ouroboros.
The smaller ones we click on to get the missions are all called "Aspect of the Pillar".

Then again, the one you can put in SG bases is incorrectly named "Pillar of Ice and Flame" in Edit mode also.. so hmmm..
    oh.. nevermind
