First of all; Dark blasts damage is already limited on a toon with no -res so slotting the attacks for -tohit means you won't ever kill anything. The only attacks you will need in PvP are Gloom, Dark Blast and Life Drain. Anything else from the dark blast set can be taken just as set mules as they won't really offer anything to you. I would recomend taking Dark Pit maybe though for detoggling any nasty offensive toggles but the rech sucks on dark pit so there will be times when you won't be able to detoggle someone.
Secondly you will want to change your power pool selection. The fighting pool doesn't offer a great deal for squishies with DR and all so I would recommend taking Leadership instead. You have no aim in dark blast so you will want the +tohit from Tactics to help with your attacks hitting. As for movement, taking Speed and Leaping pool is pretty essential in PvP now. Then obviously fitness. For your epic power pool you should go with power mastery. Power build up will help with lack of Aim and it will also make your tohit debuffs alot stronger.
The powers you have from Dark Miasma are pretty solid choice wise but try and pick up Fearsome stare if you can but slot it for -tohit instead of fear. That power powerboosted does ALOT of -tohit.
As for Slotting Dark servant, I never really know what to go for but you should definately put some heal in him. If you get in trouble and your heal misses there's a chance your pet will heal you if you go stand next to him.

I have a dark/dark/dark defender that I'm thinking about making into a PVP toon on the alt build. My current build is listed below but I'd like help in modifying it to be useful in PVP. I want an efficient build. Not concerned about price at the moment

You will gain 4.5% Def:S/L which brings it to 42.7% plus some def to E/N and melee.
You will gain 20 HP to your HP total and another 7.5% to global recharge. -

Personally I'd drop the fighting pool and add energy mastery for converse power and, more importantly, physical perfection to add even more regen and recovery. My wp/ss tank has that set up and is almost unkillable, without combat jumping or the fighting pool. -
Okay, I took out Barb Swipe, muled Brawl, added Health & Stamina, dropped S_of_Will, slotted Impale for more immobilize utilizing the added S/L in Enfeeb Op. End recov should be enough and S/L is slightly under softcap I believe...any more improvements? I lost some damage buffing but as long as I don't die i'm happy

Spines:Barb Swipe is optional. If you like it and need it for your single attack chain, keep it. If you are just using it as a mule to slot those Kinetic Combat IOs you could drop Barb Swipe and slot Brawl with Kinetic Combat instead.

It might be a good idea to swap your Numina IOs with Miracle IOs to get more recovery into the build. If you add Health (to get Stamina) you could slot one of the powers with 3 Numina and the other with 3 Miracles, each including the uniques.
You could drop the LotG: Def/End from Combat Jumping. It's not helping with end (because Combat Jumping doesn't need much end in the first place) and not adding much to defense.
RttC is good enough with only 3 Miracle or Numina IOs. You can save another slot here.
You should consider slotting QR with Performance Shifter to get more recovery (but check for conflicts based on "the rule of five" first).
Consider slotting Build Up with 2 Rectified Reticle IOs plus 1-2 basic recharge IOs and/or HO:Membrane. This will increase your Def:S/L, the recharge time for BU and will free another 2 enhancement slots for redistribution.
I have no idea why you slot Quills for slow. Consider slotting it with Multi Strike IOs instead, which will improve your Def:S/L, the DPS for Quills and reduces end cost.
EDIT: Oh, and please add the Data Chunk next time. I think it's a lot easier to use than the Data Link. -
I have a spines/dark that I enjoy playing with but I wanted a bit more durability on those speedy ITF and LGTF runs so I'm taking a stab at the /WP. I'm looking to not have to worry about regen and recovery and deal a respectable amount of damage while being able to take some sturdy hits. Looking for improvements on this if any is needed minus purple sets. thanks in advance...

Okay, I've messed around with the build enough to give me a migraine (popping Aleve as we speak). I took out Petrifying Gaze and I initially added the Boxing/Tough/Weave but since I will be teaming from time to time I decided to grab Combat Jumping (for the ranged def set bonuses in the Zephyrs) and Maneuvers and Vengeance where I've added an additional 15% recharge from the LotG procs. Asault/Manuevers/Vengeance would be good support tools and I'm supposed to be supporting right?
I Slotted Dark Servant for more accuracy, -toHit buffs, and a little bit of hold with the set bonuses in DS giving me some damage buffing and another 6.25 recharge bonus. I also took out Moonbeam and 4slotted the Dark Blast and Gloom with Thunders to give me added ranged def, accuracy, and recovery..I removed the kismet +acc from Shadow Fall and 6 slotted it with 5 Red Fortunes for the damage buff and recharge bonuses and one LotG recharge Proc. Anyway, here is the build...anything else I can fine tweak you think?

I slotted Fluffy with 4 Basilisk's Gaze (all except the ACC/HOLD/RCH/END & Proc) and Touch of the Nictus ACC/HEAL & ACC/HEAL/RCH.
I don't think the set bonuses can be beat. And I find Basilisk's Gaze EASY to get if you just go the route of AE Tickets.
I also slotted Fearsome Stare with 5 (sans Proc) Glympse of the Aybss. Again, nice set bonuses.
Yes, the tohit debuff it gives is huge, but I find it's enough without being enhanced and you have DN to stack with it.
I skipped Petrifing Gaze, as I don't have another hold to stack with it for bosses. And against AVs, it's not going to be of much use by itself.
If you're not building for more defense, I have to wonder why you slotted Shadowfall with Reactive Armor. Impervium Armor would give better set bonuses imo, with the +END and +END REC.
I'd personally skip the nuke as well. It just drains your end. If you like it. Of course, keep itHave some blues handy, and nuke away. But I find it's usually better for blasters to nuke away, while I keep my end.
I'd also skip the snipe power.

Build looks alright but a few small suggestions:
The Dark Servant needs some acc slotting, while I'd say you're spot on about enhancing his -tohit since almost everything he does debuffs tohit, but he needs to hit to do so. He's very useful, don't be too quick to dismiss him as aggro bait
Slot Fearsome Stare for -tohit rather than fear. While the fear is nice, it lasts decently long enough at base and the -tohit value is huge. The fear will get broken almost instantly in teams so what counts is the -tohit.
Assault also uses a fair amount of end, you might want to put a second end rdx in there.
You might also want to swap the Centriole in Nightfall for a straight range IO. The Posi set gives good damage enh values by itself so you want to enhance the range more to get the most out of the narrow cone.
Last thing, your powers seem pretty well slotted for accuracy and you've got fairly good acc bonuses from sets. I'd say unless you plan on fighting +3s and +4s you don't need the Kismet +acc IO if you wanted to take a slot from somewhere. -

Healing is the last thing i consider when slotting Fluffy. After all, every single one of his powers except Pet Gaze debuffs tohit, and two of them are AoE.
My last Dark Miasmist to hit 50 six-slotted Fluffy with Clouded Senses.And from the other posts I'm guessing my mode of thinking is off kilter atm, which is why I asked for the help...I value everyone's input..gonna rework the build in mid's..

I am transferring a toon from one server to another...that will remain a secret so as to not get blasted with "this server suxors or that server suxors". Its a D3 and I haven't played it in months. I want to use it for TFs (ITF, STF, LGTF mainly) as well as some soloing. I've read and heard about some of you soloing AV's or running +2 (x8) maps solo with your D3's so I'm asking for tidbits/suggestions on being able to get a hot date with my defender.
I'm thinking I should get rid of my snipe power and pick up combat jumping and slot with some Zephyr's for some added ranged and AOE defense. Also I'm wondering if the Dark Servant is all that necessary as he will probably be more aggro bait than anything else. Definitely can't depend on his healing. Anyway, here is my current build. I'd like to stay away from purps due to my lack of current funds and my inability to generate greater funds at an astronomical rate

I'm looking to be able to play through my low and mid levels then starting my IO set build once I get to level 32. I'm asking for any default builds up pre-level 32 and then an IO set build that will render me useful both in groups and solo

Fireheart, this is a lvl 48 toon currently. I want to be able to successfully be a dependable tank in groups but at the same time want to be able to solo without waiting for the sun to rise to do enough damage to complete tasks. I farm for merits if that's considered farming. I have a 66-month badge so I'm guessing I have the 5yr thing covered

Looks good H to the izzo...I didn't think about using combat jump for the set bonuses offered to increase my S/L defense. I'm currently using Conserve Power but it honestly doesn't seem to offer much and I was looking for something to replace it with. Again, using Focused Accuracy to obtain the S/L increase from the IO set is a great idea I believe. Will play with this tomorrow and see what it do

Ok, I revamped a few things, I added a slot to Tough and Strength of Will and slotted those with Reactives, I also replaced my Sciroc's with Oblit's and 4 slotted Boxing with Kinetic Combats, also replaced my Touch of Death with Kinetic Combats/Pound Slugs for some addtional S/L protection along with a bit of extra regen.

Execellent guide. I started playing my D3 again and just finished a respec last night so I will take all of your info into account. I didn't know about the SS + Shadow Fall = Invisibility!! Good stuff. Now, if someone could tell me where to find a Rad/Rad defender guide like this that would be great!!!!
