I'm not a WP expert, but there's a couple of things I see right off the bat. First, since WP has typed defense you should be working on typed defense set bonuses... the Touch of Death isn't helping you much. I'd also toss a set of 4 Reactive Armor into Mind over Body & Tough as well.

Fast healing should stick with either common heal IO's or a mule for Miracle/Numina uniques; the bonus for 3 Doctored Wounds isn't helpful. The same applies to Rise to the Challenge... the Doctored Wounds isn't getting you anything useful; drop a few slots and just frankenslot heal/end IO's. The debuff isn't worth enhancing.

Are you a 60 month veteran? If not then you cannot select Super Speed without first selecting Hasten, and you can't get SS before level 14. Mid's is bugged currently and the travel pool selection order is incorrect.

If you're only 4 slotting Taunt then use the Mocking Beratement set, the S/L defense, which is the bonus you're after, comes at 4 slots there.

Boxing should either be slotted as an attack or left at the base slot; the tiny amount of regen probably isn't worth the extra slot unless you're using the attack, and in that case it needs more than just the one extra slot.

Those are the main things I noticed; your slotting definitely needs work however. As a WP you're going to want S/L defense bonuses and Hit Point bonuses primarily; positional defenses only do you half as much good as typed.

Ok, I revamped a few things, I added a slot to Tough and Strength of Will and slotted those with Reactives, I also replaced my Sciroc's with Oblit's and 4 slotted Boxing with Kinetic Combats, also replaced my Touch of Death with Kinetic Combats/Pound Slugs for some addtional S/L protection along with a bit of extra regen.

I only tend to make scrapper builds...but because this is my buddy Marsh I'll make an exception. This is my take on said build. I'm sure people with more tank experience could make somethin better but this should be incredibly solid IMO.

Looks good H to the izzo...I didn't think about using combat jump for the set bonuses offered to increase my S/L defense. I'm currently using Conserve Power but it honestly doesn't seem to offer much and I was looking for something to replace it with. Again, using Focused Accuracy to obtain the S/L increase from the IO set is a great idea I believe. Will play with this tomorrow and see what it do

Dear Lord Horusaurus! You've successfully created a brick outhouse, with no attacks except for the stink! Worse, it has mis-matched defenses - you're wasting investment on defenses that do-not stack. Yes, you have 2 single target attacks and two AoE attacks, and with Hasten running, you might be able to fire them off... And you won't have enough Endurance to do much, except stand there, waiting...

Let's try to be clearer here...
Is this a level 50 toon, looking for a respec, or are we trying to create a build that can happily level from 1 to 50?
Is this for PvE, or PvP?
Is this a tanker for massive farming, with a team only? Or does it have to be able to solo?
How much Influence is available to outfit this guy?? That's definitely going to affect what you can get in the way of Enhancements!
And, as CMA pointed out, unless Marshman has the 5-year Veteran's Badge, you Cannot actually build this toon this way. There is an error in the current version of Mids.

Want to Really have fun?? Build this Almost like you would a Scrapper, then layer on the Fighting Pool Defenses. Enhance for S&L Defense and a bit of Energy/Negative, but Focus the build on Hit-Points and Regeneration, because that's what Willpower does best.

There's more I'd do to your build, but, frankly, I wouldn't build like this in the first place.

Unfortunately, I have to get back to work, or I'd post a sample build of my own. We Tankers can't really give more specific advice, without knowing more of the circumstances of the character.

Seems decent to me. Focused Accuracy isn't there to run but sit there and be a set bonus. Turn off super speed and shouldn't have any end issues, just make a little bind to click it off and on readily. I would think with those decent defenses and with the high regen you would be pretty sturdy. Or maybe I'm just nuts.

The problem Fireheart stated isn't durability - it's offense.

*) Shadow Punch's slotting is okay, but could be better.
*) You completely skipped Smite (which is the 2nd best DPA of the set) and *) Shadow Maul (which is an incredible attack against groups).
*) Boxing is a pretty bad attack made worse by only having 4 slots in it.
*) Midnight's Grasp's slotting, like Shadow Punch, is very "meh." (Why slot for Positional defense when you could get Kin Combat Instead? Kin Combat x4 and the Mako triple/quad would be my goto if you wanted mitigation.)
*) Then you have Siphon Life. (Not slotted as an attack, which isn't a bad thing, I'd franken-slot it too. I'm just saying it doesn't help the other inadequacies listed above.)


[edit: Okay, Fireheart mentioned defense too, but that's along the same lines as what I said in Midnight's Grasp.]

I'd add that, since this is a Tanker, with Gauntlet, AND you took Taunt, there is zero excuse for slotting your attacks with Taunt Enhancements. Slot a little Taunt in RttC and you're good.

Fireheart, this is a lvl 48 toon currently. I want to be able to successfully be a dependable tank in groups but at the same time want to be able to solo without waiting for the sun to rise to do enough damage to complete tasks. I farm for merits if that's considered farming. I have a 66-month badge so I'm guessing I have the 5yr thing covered

Alternately, you could choose Hasten and/or Strength of Will for your last two powers.
This gives 40% Defense and almost 70% Resistance to S/L on top of ~700% Regeneration. You could sacrifice a few points of Defense and slot 2 more LotG Recharge, if you wanted.
You give up your single-target smasher, Smite, but Boxing is in there and slotted up for a fast-cycling attack. An Alternative would be to give up some HPs and a chance to debuff, by pulling the 2 slots of Dark Watcher out of RttC. One in Boxing, sloting 2 Rope-a-Dope Acc/Stun, and one in Siphon Life, slotting 2 Theft of Essence Acc/Heal (or the +End) would be my choice.
