IR goggles temp. power also helps, but that's about it.
-
Isn't the stealth cap supposed to be lower than the perception cap?
-
[ QUOTE ]
+Perception isn't either
[/ QUOTE ]I'm finnish, I'm allowed to mistype english words -
You're not going to want FA with /DA, the end drain is fairly large, and with IO's the +ToHit is less useful. However, the body mastery pool might be worth dipping into, just to get CP.
As for tough, I'd say it depends on whether you use CoF, that's a farily large drain and I don't think you'll want any more toggles if you do. If you don't, tough could be quite a nice addition.
There's also the possibility of taking the ST hold from dark, which, combined with end drain resistance from DA would make you a good sapper neutralizer. But then again, you already have headsplitter and disembowel for that -
[ QUOTE ]
No taunt necessary for an AV? what planet are you from m8gauntlet is rubbish without taunt and AV's will break from gauntlet the second a blaster opens with a barrage of attacks and his face quickly introduced the dirt but answer me this would you team with a tanker on the STF that didn't have taunt?
[/ QUOTE ]AV's in general and +4 AV's are two quite different kettles of fish. -
[ QUOTE ]
iirc, the only pure energy attacks in the game are anti-matter's silver robot things (and they do -def attacks.. yipee!!) All other energy attacks have both an s/l and an energy component. the number of similar lvl enemies which could do 3k's worth of energy/elemental damage is very small, i.e. none afaik (maybe some random av/gm.. but none that i recall meeting)
[/ QUOTE ]All electric/radiation blasts are pure energy. All dark blasts (except torrent, which isn't much of a damage power anyways), as well as some dark melee attacks, are pure negative energy. All flamethrowers, fire breats, etc. are pure elemntal. -
Having mez resistance would also mean that each invidual hold effect would apply for a shorter duration of time, so it'd be harder to actually stack them to the point where you'd get held.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Worse as in like a quite bunch of millions to get them?
[/ QUOTE ]Well, you have to spend inf on something[ QUOTE ]
Added to that its lvl50 based, how would it be at 32 with those IO's?
[/ QUOTE ]89.23% dam and rech with L35 IO's. Dropping the damage proc and Cleaving: Dam/rech for common dam and rech IO's you'd get both back up to 95.83%, at the cost of the acc boost set bonus. -
[ QUOTE ]
Ok...let's put it this way....at lvl 32/33/34 it's not worth paying big cash to get special IOs for your nuke.
[/ QUOTE ]It didn't cost me that much to get PBAoE sets for my Fire Sword Circle at L31, can't see why it'd cost any more for a nuke -
[ QUOTE ]
Outside that inventions make your nova even worse, perform max is going cap ED recharge/damage, IO's cant do this (specialy not sets).
[/ QUOTE ]
Sciroc-Dmg/Rchg:50, Sciroc-Dmg/EndRdx:50, Sciroc-Dam%:50, Sciroc-Acc/Rchg:50, C'ngBlow-Dmg/Rchg:50, M'Strk-Dmg/Rchg:50
That gives 95.5% damage and recharge (After applying ED), 26,5% acc and Endrdx, 10% +regen, 3,13% negative res, +9% acc in all powers from set bonuses, as well as 20% chance to cause additional lethal damage with the nuke. How's that worse than SO's? -
I'd try to fit a smashing damage proc in CE, but that's about it.
-
The end reduction only reduces the amount of end you'll need to activate the nuke, it'll still fully drain you if it hits anything.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I want to see the pics of Gen. Pansington in the cutscenes, it was hilarious. Anyone has got any to post?
[/ QUOTE ] Like This? -
[ QUOTE ]
Oh and one more thing! I need more end! Even with triple slotted Stamina and Conserve Power, I can still deplete my end bar in about 30 seconds.... any advice on what to do?
[/ QUOTE ]Slot EndRdx in your powers, and a Miracle: +recovery or Numina's Convescalance: +REcovery/+Regen into health, if you can find one of those.
Also, +recov IO set bonuses are helpful, at least when stacked. -
Was it actually ever broken for the STF? Since I got a L50 one on the first week run, before any patches to I9.
-
I've gotten a L50 recipe on heroic all 4 times I've done it, not sure about other team members but nobody's mentioned getting a L49 so far.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I'm afraid you'll have to count me out... after careful concideration, I've decided that the STF just isn't worth the trouble untill they get the bugs sorted out - namely, the recipy-levels. Going through all that for a level 49 recipy just... bleah.
Of course, due to Finagel's Law, that means that at least one regular member will fail to show, and for that, I'm truly sorry... hopefully, you'll be able to drum up a replacement. ^_^
[/ QUOTE ]We were indeed able to get a replacement
Also, I don't think anyone's gotten a L49 recipe for as long as we've been doing the STF's... -
[ QUOTE ]
Still inefficient use of powers/slots for a blaster. Only worth it for solo'ists and PvPers. A team blaster will get fair more bang for his buck from damage damage damage.
[/ QUOTE ]Dedicating two power slots for aid self really doesn't sacrifice damage all that much.
Also, even if you team, there's not always support chars available to team with. -
[ QUOTE ]
The "tank" can survive longer while taking damage than the other characters. Ultimately, the tank needs to be able to occupy the agressor without dying. The method employed, whether avoidance or absorption, does not matter, as long as the tank can mitigate damage in some way.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also, as long as you can take damage from 17 foes, any extra survivability is pretty meaningless. -
If you're using a headset, it's fine as long as it's not too high volume to drown out the speech. If you're using speakers, it depends on how well your mic catches sounds, if it catches the music, it can be annoying to other people on the server.
-
[ QUOTE ]
If you look at your end cost and divide it by action time, then go and look at your base end recovery then think of intervals between fights and movement etc then knock yaself on the head for thinking ya need stamina (although when not much ya can do with slots its fine). I personally would stealth the build up a bit more with superspeed or stealth.
[/ QUOTE ]I like having extra enduranceAlso, while SS might be something to consider, stealth is useless as it doesn't work with CD.
-
[ QUOTE ]
- Don't focus too much on Rain of Arrows as a first strike, the damage is close to zero. I'd rather use Blazing Arrow, especially in PvP (which is kind of obvious, isn't it?)
[/ QUOTE ]On my L35 Arch/Dev, with both powers having 3 damage SO's, testing against L24 ancestor spirit, blazing does 512 damage (DoT included), while RoA does 535 damage. And RoA is a pretty large AoE.
[ QUOTE ]
- Even with those Unique Inventions, would you want to waste those slots on Health?
[/ QUOTE ]There aren't that many places to put them. I guess I might remove the regen from health to fit a 6th slot in fistful.
[ QUOTE ]
- Good luck getting all those inventions, get ready for spending your influence.
[/ QUOTE ]Well, it is the very final build, but that slot allocation works pretty well for an SO/common IO build, so I'll just add set IO's over time. -

Build is mainly for PvE, although with TD and the set bonuses should be able to PvP fine as well, at least as far as ACC is conserned. Focusing on trip mines and rain of arows as fight openers, with other AoE's cleaning up the rest of minions/lieuts, and the single target attacks mainly used for bosses. Celerity: +stealth in sprint combined with CD give enough stealth to plant toebomb with trip mines. Snap shot has a chance for BU, while aimed shot can self heal or hold foes, adding a nice random element to the mix.
