You're acting like the proliferation of Snowflake threads is a new phenomenon. Trust me, there's always been a flood of people who cannot cope with thinking their own personal problem isn't so special that it deserves several new threads in various areas of the forums so that everyone gets to share in the emo.

Yes. Timed buffs from an Accolade (like Time Lord) are just like timed buffs from a single Day Job, except you can logout in either location to gain time on the buff. Also, you have to login at least once and claim the accolade badge before you will begin getting buff time. For example, if I leave a character offline for 25 days in Cimerora, I'll get the Cim badge and the buff will be full, but I will not get 4 days of credit on Time Lord (if getting the Cim badge was the badge I needed for that accolade).

Best way to think of all of them is like a dripping tap. You can't catch the drops unless you have a bucket for them, and earning the badge gives you the bucket.

You can change your editor to Advanced under your settings.

That's the thing. One of the main reasons this is happening now as opposed to last summer is "things kept happening." Eventually they just had to bite the bullet and get it done.

If the problem you're trying to solve is making it easier trying to get a team, then suggest improvements to the team searching/building system. Coming up with a system that dumbs down the game and makes it all more vanilla, trying to make it sound cooler, and pumping your main goal as a side benefit to it, is just obfuscation.

Your idea creates more problems than it solves, and doesn't do anything for the long term health of the game.

Then why crosspost in every server section except the EU ones? I smell a rat. People locked out of their server and going somewhere new for a day don't need an SG. Besides, promoting what will be the second busiest server on Double XP weekend is not really a way for people on the busiest server to get away from the crowds.

This migration has been in the works for nearly a year. Part of that process was (I'm nearly certain) an attempt to script just such a thing. The fact that it couldn't/didn't happen is an indicator of just how guargantuan the task would be.

Currently certain areas like the Guide to Guides, and back issues of the City Scoop are feeling the most pain. Older forum threads aren't such a huge deal, but these sections that make their bread and butter from links to other parts of the forum are hurting.

We're working at the Scoop to come up with a plan of action, but there's nothing to report yet other than we're aware there's a problem.

Notice the little downward arrow on the left of a Subject title? That takes you to first unread post. Additionally, if you're looking at the Most Recent post listing for a given section, clicking on the title jumps to the first unread.

Just a general tip: Mousing over is your friend in this new forum. There are a lot of popup tooltips to tell you what different things are for.

We didn't wipe, but my /rad group with two Plant/Rads were making very slow progress for a while. Kinda scary that we could still make progress at all.

Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at. I'll live with images off for now, but if it means the City Scoop gets all messed up or I have to click 97 different links to see what I want to see, I won't be happy. Avatars should be enough in the way of self expression without sig image making threads longer and more cluttered.

It's the first couple hours with a new (for some of us) system. Maybe it would be nicer to point people to where they can change the option instead of giving them a hard time for having a different preference than your's. I finally found what you were talking about, but it took a bit. There are a lot of things to fiddle with and adjust.

I got the impression from the question that the person was trying to see certain sections that they preferred, instead of the whole ball of wax. In other words, I Most visit City Scoop, Player Questions, CH&VC, and was trying to find a way to quickly see those sections without going through everything.

I've tried subscribing to different sections under Forum Tools, but that doesn't seem to accomplish what I thought.
