  1. Just a silly idea popping into my head while the servers are down. Forgive me if this isn't very complete.

I think it would be cool if your choice of Primary Powerset gave you a choice of a small power that added flavor or minor effectiveness to your character.

I really have no specifics other than one for Mind Control. I doubt it's even possible but it would be very cool to have Minor Telekinesis, which gives you the ability to manipulate Clickies at extended range.

Maybe Plant control could have added PvE Stealth when near any large plants (similar to the way superspeed works). Though come to think of it, that would probably mean coding every single map with numerous power generating objects near every plant, in order to determine if the player were in range.

The only other ideas I have involve emotes ( e littleblackcloud for Storm Summoning), but I have a hard time advocating for some sets to get something that is minorly useful and other sets getting something purely aesthetic.

I also have no good ideas for what a lot of Melee sets could get. Maybe one free unlockable weapon of your choice?
  2. After giving some thought to it, my biggest problem with the concept is going to be how Travel Suppression effects the way it plays out.

Fly/Run/Jump ahead, pew pew pew, Fly/Run/Jump ahead, pew pew pew, Fly/Run/Jump ahead, pew pew pew doesn't sound very fun.

A way to save the idea might be to make success more about protecting citizens and preventing property damage. Last I knew, clicking a glowie didn't suppress movement, so maybe if you had civilians or vehicles in the path of this oncoming escapee, but they were 0second glowies, that would mean you could swoop in, click on them and they're teleported away by Medicom as a preemptive measure or something.

I have no problem buying the bosters, and I felt the other ones were ok, but this just seems rushed out and poorly done.

Are refunds available on booster packs? Will NC cancel my account if I chargeback my purchase? (I have a card that will let me charge back nearly anything within a certain time frame)
Yup suck is so irrevocable that you were definitely being ripped off. You should sue.

Pay no attention to the several fixes that have been put out in the last couple patches, and the posts addressing costume issues that say more fixes are on the way. That's completely irrelevant to your point.
  4. I think this would be a cool addition to the "Stop X from escaping" mission. Instead of outright failure, the guy makes it to the door or teleports out, you're forced to exit and outside is a vehicle set to whisk them away. You give chase and try to take them out.

This would work best in zones with good road layouts, like St Martial, Skyway City, Talos Island. However it could just as easily be a helicopter or Arachnos Black Chopper and lead to an airborne battle.

    Good idea.
  5. I will put in my arc # 159032 Freaklympics. It can be played solo, but is designed to be a villain Strike Force kind of arc.

Two notes in case I get picked:
    - Please give attention to the clues and souvenirs.
    - The second mission is designed as a variant gameplay kind of mission. The timer is short and the number of glowies excessive, in order to promote a chaotic rush through the map where the team engages the enemies as little as possible.

    Code:

You Brawl with Chief Mentalist and deal 11.19 points of smashing damage!
I don't know if Lady Grey: Chance of Negative Damage works exactly the same.
Where the proc shows up depends on the power you put it in. In your own attack, it shows up under your damage. In a Pet or Pseudo Pet power, it shows up somewhere else.

Wrong section for that. You want Suggestions and Ideas. However I warn you ahead of time that "make more stuff" is not a helpful suggestion. Be specific about what you like and what you want to see more of.

This is not Player Rhetorical Questions. Are you asking for advice on what you can do?

Brutes were the pity spot on our VEAT team.
  10. I think the assumptions in the OP are just that, assumptions. For every team that "needs" a Controller over a Dominator because of their added durations, there will be a team interested in killing speed who will appreciate a Dom's ability to be ease the alpha strikes and kill things before the duration of their CC wears off.

There are two sides to every coin, and one thing CoOp has taught us is that every AT has something to contribute, and there's no reason to seek out one over the others when it comes to most content.

It did indeed work like that for a while in Closed Beta. However if you stop to think about it, that makes it incredibly broken. It got change so that it checks every 10 seconds in a power like Freezing Rain.

    Present Routes

The downside of doing it in a PvP zone is the hordelings will spawn at the bottom end of the range and thus be (very) gray. Since they have a chance to drop canes this year, it actually pays off to go to a place where they're worth xps.

    That's good enough for me.
If when you say "can be implemented" you mean "yes we can write it down on paper as a potential idea and think of a couple ways it might work" then yes you're right. However that's basically theoretical. It's not like it's an easy switch or something that can be readily applied to PvE, which is what some folks seem to be implying.

Well to be fair, they are pretty robust, if you're in a stage to see Bosses consistently. The variety of 30ish+ Longbow bosses is impressive. Thing is, unless you're on a team or soloing at high settings, you don't see them. I can think of at least 7 varieties of Longbow boss off the top of my head.

All I'm proposing here is to narrow the gap between Longbow bosses and Longbow shock troops, and eliminate the one egregious gap in having a single sole type of Lt. for the entire progression.

Some other quick ideas I thought of that are in this same vein:

Council Pistols- they disappear after level 4 or so. Revamp them with Dual Pistols, and insert them into the group as part of a counter to the return of the 5th Column. Council troops have been losing heavily in the street battles, and I'd like to see some tweaks to even the odds.

PPD Wall- I've made a bunch of Riot Police types as part of my AE arc Freaklympics, but I'd love to see a lot of Shield Defense troops added to the general run of PPD. Especially since the PPD seem to become less challenging once the average troopers are out of the mix. The SWAT guys are fun and challenging. The robots and kheldians are kinda boring after that.

They do when you're trying to portray your experiences as the general case, or even as commonplace. They're not. Neither are his. The truth is somewhere in the middle, and somewhere in the middle in this case leads to a state that really doesn't require any sort of change.

People are going to find a way to be snobs, if their nature is to be snobbish. It's who they are. There's no rule change you can implement that will fix human nature.

I think you really need to explain how the same thing isn't accomplished through the robust revamps of the Difficulty system that we've already been given. It hasn't been fully realized yet, but once the problems with TFs are fixed, then what you're looking for is provided, WITHOUT nerfing anyone.

I'm with Bill. We've been told the kind and amount of work it would take by the devs. We're just passing on that information to you.

It is. However when a power is activated and the "while flying" animation is played, they both call the same animation.
  20. The Longbow Nullifier. aka Longbow Sargeant in the lower levels. It's the same foe with slightly improving powers all the way from 1-50. It's boring. In the later levels its even incredibly dangerous, with stacking Disruption grenades.

Uncomplicated proposal today. I think Longbow should get 2 new additional Lieutenant types in the future. Design them to work at each level range, with steadily increasing powers, and put them into the spawn mix so that we can get some added variety in what we fight.

Longbow Enforcer- Dual Pistols combatant, with some tricks up their sleeve. Probably ends up being similar to a Malta Gunslinger, but no teleportation until the higher levels please (preferably none at all).

Longbow Protector- Shield Defense with a weapon set like Mace. Give it a Taunt, and the Shield ally buff, so that it is similar to a Longbow Warden, but unique among NPCs (I don't know any that Taunt).

Shield is a special case. BaB actually did hundreds of custom animations such that things would work with your shield out. That's part of why the set took so long.

It's also why there are very few working emotes with the shield out.
