I don't think this game needs more powerful lvl 50's. It needs new zones and new enemies with new powers and new strategies required to beat them. I don't care if its on the moon, deep within the earth or in the ocean somewhere, we need new stuff to do. No more rehashing the old stuff. We've already repainted all our powers. Now we need some unique enemies that take some thought to beat. Doesn't have to be lvl 50. Make it a new zone, where a completely new character is required to enter. At least the first time through, no vet powers work there. No ice crystal access. A place for new characters only.

I fail to see the vitality of this question.

Like others have said, it depends on what you're fighting against, and what their capabilities are.
For solo fighting, with your cloaking device on you should always line up to maximize your cone attacks, and throw trops down first. The one thats the closest to you will try to melee you, so you webnade and ignite him, then forget him. You're taking more damage than necessary without Bean bag, it can take out that one lieut that always hurts the worse if he gets to you.
An AR/Dev has plenty of mitigation tools to keep from getting hurt too bad in melee, and thats where I always play mine. After the initial cone attacks land, if they aren't dead they're coming for you, so taser one, webnade another, bean bag a third, then slug and burst them to death. I only use the cones right at the start. In a team setting, use what ever powers recharged, but be mindful about your knockback. On good teams you may just be firing Flamethrower and Full Auto ad naseum. -
I would one shot Tub Ci, then /e bringit, while they all ran away

Quote:Active toons. Meaning toons I play every day? None. I have too many to play them all, every day. But If I had to answer which toons I've played the most lately, it would be my lvl 27 Rad/mental blaster, and my lvl 43 Mind/Rad Controller. I have over a dozen lvl 50s, so I just take my toons now to the level I want to play them, (ie. until I have the powers unlocked that I think I need, then I turn XP off and just play for the fun of it.)active toons do you have on average? Just out of curiosity. I have 6.
For example, I've turned off XP on my lvl 27 rad/mental blaster. After Cosmic burst and drain psyche, he's able to hold his own now no matter what lvl team he joins, he is fun just like he is. Plus by stopping him at 27, I just use lvl 30 SO's and IOs and he is pretty maxed out damagewise, which is what you invite a blaster for, to do damage. -
Personal preference. I don't share the popular opinion that the other devices powers are crap. I enjoy using them all more than TD.
-
Not all devices players take Targetting drone. My AR/Dev is also 5 yrs old and I have not used TD for the last 3.5 to 4 years. But I have huge +acc from Set Bonuses and I use at least 67% acc from my sets, so Im over most of the time. I only miss TD when facing a Night Widow, which I overcome by eating those yellow inspirations.

Warshade vs. Psi/Men Blaster
Only you can really answer this. How bad do you want to play the blaster? The WS can always wait. Do not PL your WS, learn to play it nice and slow. You'll be rewarded later. If you don't want to do this, then scrap the WS and play that blaster, I really don't care if you PL that one or not. -

My level 50 AR/EM blaster just did 602.39 points of lethal damage against a lvl 50 Harlequin Juggler, using Assault + BU + Sniper Rifle. My Sniper Rifle power is only 5 slotted, with 5 Sting of the Manticores, one of which is a toxic proc, which was not included in the previous attack on the Carnie minion. Most of the time when it does fire off, the minion is already dead. But it helps against lethal resistant mobs, like Malta. That when the proc comes into play. And quite frankly, thats when you need it.
Tackling a group with just a lt + 3 or 4 minions, Assault + BU + Sniper Rifle, the lieut., then Full Auto the group. They all fall down about the same time. This is assuming you're not fighting a group that has a ton of lethal resistance. -
Quote:I would also suggest to set it to -1/ +8 just to see if a different scientists type appears. Then try +1/ +8. It actually might be more survivable, and you can figure out if you can force the Earth Mastery ones not to appear. That could explain it. I had no idea this type of "select from different mob types" situation even existed!
I haven't reset this a large number of times; I've only grabbed the Ouro mission twice. So perhaps it does the same random mob types as live but I just happened to get the nasty ones both times. -
That happened to me too, just now. Aluminum Dave, very weird.

Blind Melon
Think about it...bee costume
No rain
Is it a little chubby girl? -
Wow. Very powerful. Highest I've ever stuck with a controller, now 42. This must be the combination that meshes the best with my playstyle.
No magical sets or anything, just frankenslotted and commom IOs, SO's mostly. I really like the way he dominates, even without domination. This is the controller I will be playing well past 50.
Great combination. Any other Mind/Rads out there? -
Quote:Yeah, I missed that link. still getting used to the new forums I guess.Lol, he was just asking to show you that video :P
Yes there is a bug that gets people stuck and I usually just turn and walk and that will pop me out and allow me to move again.
I exited 3 times this morning, and I get stuck where I can't reverse but I can strafe out really easily. Last night was worse. -
Quote:Yes I was wearing the cape and high collar from the Magic PakWere you wearing a cape?
-
Maybe it was the costume I was wearing.....I'll try with a different character.

Anyone having trouble exiting Cimerora the "normal" way? (Through the ice crystal). No matter what direction I tried to exit towards I ended up getting stuck in the ice crystal inside the midnighter club, and even the /stuck command would not free me. I was able to place the ouro portal and click it though to get out.
This only happens exiting Cimerora, entering is fine. -
I never used ignite with caltrops. Either with Web grenade, or later on with Cryo Freeze Ray.
Caltrops I use with Flamethrower and Full Auto.
If you have an old lvl 50 AR/Dev there you ought to at least give LRM Rocket a try. Some call it a long range nuke, but I never liked that description. Its more like Explosive Blast (from Energy Blast), but from Sniper Range. It is interruptable. -

I play two characters with the same exact name on the same account but on different servers. I'd like to move them both to the same server, ie one is on Freedom, one is on Victory, I want to play them both on Victory.
What would be the best way to accomplish this?
Should I go ahead and request the move first, then change the name once hes on Victory, should I change his name first before transfer? If I move it, will I get a free rename chance since the name is already taken on Victory? -
All good points Sarrate.
Also, taunt takes no endurance to use. So while you're standing there. getting attacked by all the Mu Guardians, and you struggle to maintain all your toggles while your team fires away freely, you can always toss out a taunt and it wont drop a toggle.
It is a great tool. I don't understand the negative talk about it. Sure, you don't need to use it on an experienced team, thats great, use your attacks then. What the big freakin' deal?
I have taken taunt on every tank I have ever played. I recommend increased range enhancements, it really increases its utility. -
You better put clobber in there pronto or you'll be teh gimpz.
Here's how I did it:

47 Fire/Mace here. I have 8 KB resist points. I have the Karma in Combat Jumping, and the Steadfast in Plasma Shield. I recommend getting acrobatics at first, until you can afford the special recipes, then respec out.
