For how long?
[/ QUOTE ]5 minutes max. Generally 20 seconds at most.
I've played on Freedom for every double XP weekend, and never once did I have trouble logging on. I never had to hide somewhere without the auto log-off for fear of not being able to get back on, because I'd just cycle the login screen!
I personally prefer the method of login-logout, but that's just a personal preference... I type fast enough that I find it to be far faster than waiting for the server screen to populate. -

I got a kick out of this.
/e alakazamreact now changes you into a completely random object, not just a pumpkin.
[/ QUOTE ]And they made the smoke flash look cooler! -

2) You respec and pull out your 10 most valuable level 30 SO (damage and accuracy, I believe) and you either sell them on the market, or just sell them back at stores. Then you buy all your new SO or IO enhancements like you did in option 1. This costs X-infl minus the price of what you sell those 10 enhancements for.
[/ QUOTE ] I believe TO, DO, and SO enhancements sell back for their original purchase price if you sell them at the respec screen.
[/ QUOTE ]Which means pulling any off causes you to get less money in the end. It's only IOs that you ever want to sell after a respec. -
A lot of the issues people have (i.e. lag, crashing) is on THEIR END, not the server side... adding more hardware to the servers would not fix those issues (and raising the player cap would only make it worse!).

Check your email, at least used to they'd send you an email asking for you to pick a few alternative names to go with. Also, make sure the email address on your PlayNC account is accurate.

I used the 1 free one YEARS ago.
[/ QUOTE ]They've given us multiple new ones over the years. -

My server would allow you to beat up contacts who gave you missions you didn't like.
[/ QUOTE ]Poor Willy. -
I don't think we will for a good while, that's kinda SoA's thing... like how combos are DB's.

I noticed it too, also thought it was another person pissing them off for a second (people do that, no clue why) but then I saw a group spawning and immediately grab their shields. Bugged it too as it doesn't make much sense to me and it looks kinda stupid.
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't make sense for you to have soldiers and guards in a contested area prepared to repel attacks....?
Okay!
-Rachel-
[/ QUOTE ]There's a couple of things why it doesn't make sense:
1. There's no imminent threat.
2. If there was, grabbing their shield and sword takes a second.
3. The fighting position is impossible to be standing still in a whole day long.
If there's no need, why do anything else than just standing in the most comfortable position and keep an eye out for something that might be a threat? Then, when there is, you will be fit enough to able to fight.
[/ QUOTE ]
1.) There is an imminent threat. They're just a short distance away from the enemy's last base.
2.) They've been slaughtered countless times already because that second was more than that had
3.) That's why you have shifts -
Well, that can't impact me... I'z haz all the random packs!
-
Wait, people are getting the Cyborg pack for free? Curses! Why couldn't I get the Magic pack for free... or all the others I bought
-
It's all greek to me!
-
I have to also agree about Quickness... it'd make Ninjitsu even more like Super Reflexes. I think at least part of he idea was to differentiate the sets, not homogenize them...
Also, not a fan of Stalkers giving up their one set until they get some new ones... so far all but /nin were made for other ATs then ported to them... even /wp was an after thought! -
I used to always try to use my freespec before the next one was issued... then I realized, why the hell am I getting so worked up over it? Not like my build is suddenly gonna become magically better just by respec'ing
(my build became magically better for my main character when they buffed Stalkers to not suck)

My server would have (NPC) Villains running wild all through Paragon, committing crimes, attacking people, trying to push into 'safe areas' (BM, AE, around the trainers, etc). The Heroes would partly be forced to put up a resistance to push them back, having to actively actually fight the NPCs on the street to maintain order.
Based on how much order is maintained in each zone, various new tasks would be opened, as well as the possibility of extra rewards/benefits. The strength (size/difficulty) of the enemies would be proportionate to the server activity, so that what was actually not a push over on Freedom wouldn't be an unstoppable hoard on the smaller servers.
There should of course be a good bit of infighting between the factions, as well as the factions occasionally making truces to combine efforts to fight the other factions (and eventually the truce will break apart and the two sides will split, etc). There should also be a sizable Longbow/PPD presence to assist the players.
The RI would be basically the same situation, with Longbow, Arachnos, Wyvern, and Legacy Chain doing more thematically appropriate things (like the hero groups always being allies, though not always working together). Arachnos would of course always be laying the smack down where every they could against basically everyone.
Think Siren's Call hotspot system, but far more. -
And after you have that big window open, you can right mouse click on individual attributes and then select 'monitor' (don't recall exact wording), and they ones you select will appear in a small window. Remember, right mouse button is your friend!

Broken for me. Bad, bad devs!

Plus, if he gets it working on OS X, it should basically 'Just Work' on Linux
[/ QUOTE ]Actually, my test platform is Fedora 9, since I don't have a Mac
[/ QUOTE ]Which makes my point even more realisticIf you get it working on OS X, it'll be 'cause it's already working on Linux
And 9? Why not upgrade to 11 for Cimerora-style goodness? -
Maybe he heard that PSW got nerfed, but didn't know the context, and immediately assumed it was the MM version?
Or, maybe he's' trying to steal pikabko's throne? -

Through the forums. How else?
[/ QUOTE ]I shan't lie! I must be actively logging on and off Freedom to be able to do it! -

Oh boy . . . Once again we get to watch people whine and complain that the game sucks because they can't log onto Freedom.
Anyone with half a brain is going to have some alts ready on other servers just in case.
And with the AE they don't even have the excuse that they don't have any high level characters on other servers.
That will be a fun weekend to watch the forums.
[/ QUOTE ]Ah crap, I forgot about that!
Now that I'm working on characters on Guardian, how will I taunt the people that can't get onto Freedom while I constantly log on and off just to spite them? -
Point? The point is on the end of his steel claws!
Other than that, there is none. -
You could use /bindsavefile FILENAME, then go in with notepad and delete all the binds but the ones you want to keep (in this case, the K and L ones), then save the file, then use /bindloadfile FILENAME on another character.

* Marketeering can be done without playing, but it also requires a base to start from.
[/ QUOTE ] Not much of one. You can turn 10k influence into 1 billion in the span of a month if you market aggressively.
[/ QUOTE ]I frequently turn 3k into anywhere from 1/2 a million to 5 million on characters in just a few levels time by playing the market.
And I've been basically using the same strategy since the market was added, and it takes very little time to actually do
