1 million inf? Yeah, good luck finding any of the jems that way! You might as well just remove AE from the game and be done with it.
I don't like the idea at all, AE is supposed to be an alternative way to level 1-50, as well as allow players to create new content. A lot of the player base has run ALL the content in the game countless times... the Devs simply can't make content fast enough, so they found a solution to the content starvation problem with AE. It just needs some more refinement, just like the non-AE content went through years of changes to keep a lid on excessive farming... and there are still non-AE farms. -
Do you have the "Emotes" channel listed in any of your chat tabs? It's normally in "Chat" by default.

Then you'd have to re-toggle all your powers every single mission . . . far more annoying that the occasional inconsiderate yahoo.
So if the interior is really right there, how come we can only see out of the windows, and not in?
[/ QUOTE ]no, it's just EVERYONE has their powers on and it slows my relatively fast computer to almost a screeching halt.
[/ QUOTE ]Don't use the AE in cap/atlas? It's not like there's one in basically every single non-hazard zone on both sides of the game just 'cause it looks so damn sexy. -
[ QUOTE ]
Considering EQ2 Players has had this for years, I suspect there was something other than technical reasons for not getting this live.
[/ QUOTE ]No, the devs have said the issue was that it hammered the data base servers to get the data. They'd need to rearchitecture their system to avoid that, which takes time, and time is of limited supply (especially when you're working on multiple issues + an expansion).
I'm sure they'll get it out eventually, but doubtful it'll be any time soon. -
I think an example of screen-space effect would be this picture where they make it look like it's an old broadcast/old tv with the noise... I could be wrong, though (couldn't find anything on WP about it, just did a random google image search).

With a kin around puting forge on a brute is your best bet.
[/ QUOTE ]
With a kin around, putting Forge on a brute is still not a good idea. Most of the time there's still going to be people that don't enter melee range to get much benefit from Fulcrum Shift (I was just playing on my Huntscrab with a kin on the team... due to the nature of my attacks, I'm most effective at range to properly align my cones... meaning it's rare that I get buffed by FS... not to mention squishies in melee range can often go very bad very quickly).
If everyone's at the damage cap for whatever reason, I'll simply use Forge for the +tohit on whoever I think would need it most... or simply ignore it and spend my time throwing out fire balls for massive damage -

Can have loads of different themes, it'd be a great way to improve bases... plus, the same windows could be reused on the office maps so they're less TARDIS and more normal. -
FYI, if you're on a TF/AE arc/Oz it'll also fail... that might have been why.
-
Group fly also has a massive -25 tohit debuff component... just for comparison purposes, a Defender's Darkest Night only does -18.75 tohit debuff!

And like I've said several times already, the changes suggested will only make a bad system worse. Simply bolding yourself while completely ignoring what I wrote isn't productive in the slightest.

But I would like to see is someway to make toons that can get access to tons of stealth actually able to use it without breaking the system...
[/ QUOTE ]This is my point, the change suggested would only break the system even worse. The entire stealth system needs to be revamped, minor changes like this will only make things worse. -

Stealth + stealth IO can be countered by having one source of perception
That's 2 sources of stealth being beat by one source of perception .
[/ QUOTE ]No, Stealth/Stealth IO are each half of full stealth. The appropriate comparison would be to compare them to the +Perception IO, which only counters one of the two.
[ QUOTE ]
only that other ATs that have built around stealth can now be stealthier too.
[/ QUOTE ]No other ATs in the game are built around Stealth, that's the thing. -

One thing I did notice, they still have you choose to allow or disable stuff going to the website, but as of yet, I've not seen any website info relating to those options.
[/ QUOTE ]City Vault was shelved. Apparently the way it gathered its data caused obscene levels of lag on the world servers. I imagine it'll eventually show up again, but likely no time soon. -

You can build around stealth. And your suggestion wouldn't change that, you'd still be seen likely just as often.
[/ QUOTE ]
Can I build around stealth and be unseen by people that have but ONE +perc source ? >.>
[/ QUOTE ]Why should ONE source of full stealth beat ONE source of full perception? One should counter the other.
And again, you can't ignore the SoA or Stalkers, raising the other ATs will impact the SoA at the very least which 2 of the 4 branches are built around stealth (unlike the other ATs where Stealth does nothing but stealth). -

since it's the first prototype of 'Branching' in CoH
[/ QUOTE ]That wasn't branching in the slightest, that was just a few renamed 'leave' options. It didn't branch.
I don't see what your point is, that they shouldn't do it suckily? -
Wow, that was hilarious. And completely out of left field.

Also, you forgot powexecname soul extraction.

I didn't forget it. I realized that the OP would want to wait to activate it until he actually got in range of the pet
[/ QUOTE ]If it's not in range, it'd simply queue the power... meaning it'd automatically activate once in range, when seemed to be the what the OP wanted (until he realized that the range of the power was long enough that he really wouldn't need the follow most always).
[/ QUOTE ] This. TY.

My new alt.
And I prefer my 'TY's delivered in the form of bows. And ritual sacrifices. And no more orphans, please. I've already filled up on them. -
If he's having fun, what's the problem? Before AE, the only difference would have been that he would have had to walk to PI, then sit around. Twice. With AE, at least he actually has to fight and contribute.

A century later, almost no one can remember seeing a horse and buggy in their lifetime...
[/ QUOTE ]I saw a horse and buggy pull into McDonalds not too long ago. The guy parked the horse (seriously???), got out, and started heading in. That's definitely one of those 'what the hell?' moments you never forget. -
[ QUOTE ]
As far as the tactic goes, droning people is perfectly legit, and quite frankly, if you're close enough to the enemy base for them to be able to do that, you deserved it.
Having said that, writing a paper on the concept that people hate jerks is kinda lame.
[/ QUOTE ]It's legit by the developer's rules. According to Twixt, it's not legit according to the player's society's rules (which is why he'd qualify as a 'jerk').
It seems rather silly that a sociologist would be shocked that a society wouldn't be happy with someone breaking their norms. I mean, if his point was Hey, look! This game's playerbase actually functions like a real society! that'd be one thing (still not that surprising), but, based on the article, it was about whether or not he could piss people off by doing questionable things, including talking trash with the best/worst of them. -
[ QUOTE ]
what yorue suggesting is that SoAs are going to be unhappy that normal ATs are getting the same stealth cap as them ? ...
[/ QUOTE ]Yes, because they're partly built around having Hidden status. No other AT with the exception of Stalkers depends on Hidden status for part of their inherent.
[ QUOTE ]
im not saying everyone should become a stalker , but that right now hitting the stealth cap for non Stalk/Soa is a joke..
[/ QUOTE ]Simply raising the cap won't fix the joke. The joke is the entire system is flimsy. -
[ QUOTE ]
so then stealth "cap" will forever mean hide behind the glass window >.> ... during the day ...
edit: typo
[/ QUOTE ]
Not everyone has +perception. Those that explicitly build around having +perception will be able to counter those that equally build around +stealth... with the current system, that seems rather reasonable.
