*Wonders if that will somehow summon any red names.*

Technically, July 31st, 11:58 PM is still in July.
However, I would expect more juicy details by no later than Comi-con.
[/ QUOTE ]
No later than Comic-Con? Don't you mean this week? Or are you telling us we'll get Going Rogue info this week and I16 info at Comic-Con?
I hope we don't get another week by week info-bit feed up until the week of Comic-Con. Yuck.
[/ QUOTE ]The update was that the info would be no later than Comic Con. Maybe. -
You can just type /playernote SOMETHING and write whatever you want. You can even setup a macro/bind for it, with a different SOMETHING for each character.
-
Don't believe so. A lot of AE mobs are a LOT stronger than standard mobs.

Pack II had all kinds of bugs when it was released, we assume the devs don't want to repeat that.
[/ QUOTE ]So did pack 1
Yes, I like bragging about it. It's my one claim to fame -
Just an FYI: You can always make a back-up DVD on your own using... Bill's guide (which Bill, I can't recall... the one that went to Tennessee.... possibly like that song
)

How about powerset color customization?
Or a morality system?
-
Either of them works. Good vs Evil edition comes with the Justice and Sinister costume outfit, Pocket D VIP Teleporter, and the Jump Pack. Architect Edition comes with your choice of either of the Super Booster packs for free (maybe also Super Booster III as an option when it comes out).
Both Architect and GvE allow you to play Issue 15, it's just that the BOXED version of Architect comes with DVDs containing all the patches up to and including issue 14, while GvE is only to 8... either way, though, you'd have to download at least Issue 15 to play if you install from the disk (although you can just install from the web). -

How often does anyone use Z?
[/ QUOTE ]You just did. -
It could be that you mouse's scroll wheel is a bit too sensity/misaligned, and generating the scroll-up event occasionally, causing the chat window to scroll just a bit above the bottom, which'd stop it from following the conversation.

1. No. Malta Gunslingers used "Dual Pistols" long before she did. Also, there's been no Official Word that we'll be getting Dual Pistols.
[/ QUOTE ]Positron, when asked about upcoming powerset proliferation, said "Dual Pistols? Demon Summoning?" as his response. That's pretty good, IMO. -

Damn evil devs must have issued a take down notice! Oh well, guess no one's gonna get to see the leak...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah too bad the info says removed by USER and not by YOUTUBE staff for violating copyright =P
Anyway, who wants to help pull a Mission Impossible to get the design docs? =P
[/ QUOTE ]Obviously the take down notice was sent to the account holder, threatening to ban their CoX account! Will those devs never cease to stoop so low!
(and I find it so hilarious that people keep clicking on that link! eventually I'll ensure no one asks for any info!)

Demand is still pretty much the same. It's supply that got shifted around, and most people haven't bothered to realize that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Here's why purples are so expensive-
1: Merits
2: AE
Merits let people 'buy' those super expensive IOs directly without spending any inf. result: more money in the system & more disposable income for the power players.
AE sucked the farmers out of PI, where they were generating a lot of purples, and dropped them in a purple-free environment.
So we have a lot more money chasing a lot fewer recipes.
[/ QUOTE ]
People doing real mission farms would generate more Purples. So back to the old school farming methods.
Also I have a perma lvl 46 tank that will be happy to bridge on virtue.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, the old-school farming wouldn't work best, IMO. It's close but a few tweaks will greatly improve performance: parallelize it (i.e. stop the soloing!), don't farm 51s/52s, farm the lowest NPCs that'll drop the purple. You might not gain as much inf from the actual farming... but you'll get more drops/hour, which should result in more inf/hour, especially when you get a purple.
Also: Forget the whole PLing nonsense. Fillers or other farmers, no door sitters. They'll just leech from your profits, and decrease your odds of getting a purple, without increasing your kill rate.
Then again, it's still ebil -

God bless people with low standards.
[/ QUOTE ]You know, that's generally considered an insult? Not a very friendly way to start off a post. Also, you're apparently quite confused, as the first two quotes were about another team, and IMO, were nothing to be upset about, teams fail on occasion, it's not the end of the world. Also, the third quote wasn't due to the AE arc, but due to a spawn error that can and does happen on any mission in the game. And it, as well, wasn't a big deal, we sent a /petition, went to train, waited a minute, then moved on.
[ QUOTE ]
But what if you had a similar problem with that 3rd mission, the one you'd picked?
[/ QUOTE ]If you go into the detailed info, it says the level ranges for each mission in the arc. Also, LFMA is a player-tag used to denote lowbie friendly mission arcs.
[ QUOTE ]
Seriously, if you can withstand overpowered enemies, no experience, and mission-stopping bugs, and still call it "the most fun", then either you are a wonderful person who sees sunshine in everything, or you really deserve to experience some actual fun sometime.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've been on countless teams where we've absolutely dominated everything in the game. I've been on all Rad super teams where nothing was a challenge, everything just fell over right before us, including most of the AVs in the high-end game. Lots of big numbers orange numbers. Debuffs everywhere. Buffs abound. It was the pinnacle of performance!
And yet, they were dreadfully predictable, because it was extremely easy.
Read my original post again (no, skimming doesn't work, read it). On my team, we were fighting to win. We weren't able to simply push buttons, we had to actually work on beating them. Normally whenever I'm on a team, I'm also reading the forums at the same time, or reading one of several blogs, or reading the latest issue of LWN.net (lots of obscenely technical articles, most of which I can barely understand... I wouldn't have it any other way)... in the middle of combat (especially AV fights).
3, Alt tab, read for a second, alt tab back, 2, alt tab, read, alt tab, 4, alt tab, read, alt tab, target new enemy, f, alt tab, 1, alt tab, read, alt tab, ctrl+2, alt tab, read, yada, yada, yada! That's all the teams I've been on.
I couldn't do that on this team. I had to actually pick my targets, and not just 'boss first' or 'sappers first' bs that's passed off as strategy far too often! I had to watch who was attacking what, both ways. I couldn't just focus on killing as quickly as I could, I had to spread my attacks out over multiple targets to hold onto as much aggro as I could. But I also had to watch what attacks my team mates were using to keep them from gaining too much aggro. I also had to watch out for ambushes walking in on us. And at the same time, I had to make sure I didn't get slaughtered, because a lowbie Shield brute can only take so much before dying. It was a challenge, and it didn't merely rely on giving the enemies more HP and more damage. Everyone on the team was doing a great job playing their characters, it was a good team, and the missions were well designed, some how built just right to challenge us just the right amount without simply overwhelming us without mercy. We did lose some, like I said... but the sweet taste of victory doesn't not exist unless you also have the bitter taste of defeat to compliment it.
That is why I said it was the most fun I've had playing this game since I started. It had that new game feel that you get, before you know how the system works to the point that you can do it in your sleep, it's simply a reflex (one that I can use while reading an article on the fanotify API... you know, just some light reading...). -

I find it hard to believe this hasn't been addressed before.
[/ QUOTE ]The EU version (your account is apparently the US version, since you're on the US forums) might have mirror servers located in the EU, although their version is slightly different (at the very least, it's set to point to their servers and not the US ones... might be possible to change that by hand but not sure). -
It's likely due to the fact that you're having to go internationally to get the data. I'm able to download the game at over 1 MB/second from here in the US.
(I still remember the days when 15-30 kb/s was considered a great speed)

Dual Builds and AE kinda played a hand in the price gouging of purples recipes.
[/ QUOTE ]That word you use... I don't believe it means what you think it means.
[/ QUOTE ]
*sigh* it doesn't change anything, wrong word or not, demand on things have gone up. It's also interesting to see that crafted lv50 IOs were going for 1 million inf hero side, but I can say that's laziness on the buyers part when you could buy/craft your own for around half that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Demand is still pretty much the same. It's supply that got shifted around, and most people haven't bothered to realize that. They think what was awesome back in Issue 13 to sell on the markets are still the awesome items- they don't realize what used to be crap for profit is now extremely profitable. Slowly people will shift how they work with the market to match the current situation and prices will go back down on many things... and others will go up, due to a change in focus. -

I base my disagreement with this on the fact that a few hours ago I listed a peice of salvage for 1 influence and received 535,000 for it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I listed a stack of 5 common techs for 1 inf last night and sold them instantly for over 800k.
Darn those manipulators for forcing me to take their filthy money!
=(
[/ QUOTE ]Yeah, tell me about it!
I crafted a bunch of enhancements from loot I got from the AE, and listed them each for 333,333... those damn manipulators forced me to end up getting 600,000 for each of them!
They also manipulated me to do it again... and again... and again... and again... and I think I might be doing it again soon.
