(now the question is, does that mean am I supporting this good suggestion, or just being stupid?)

They could make the locker that one of the paths send you on as being the tailor. Ya know, 'cause you're going through all the clothes in there!
Honestly, that makes more sense than a tailor being in Outbreak... ya know... an area that has an outbreak going on! -
And as the thread suggests, they're pretty freaking fast at changing the names! It took them about 30 seconds to change my name... possibly less!

Quote:Yeah, too similar to Archangel. Marvel already sued NCSoft once due to the fear of players using their characters in game. NCSoft is serious about it.The name was Arc.Angel'
was renamed to generic......
all of his back story was removed and his costuumes
No, he won't be getting the name back. He should have gotten an email about changing it... and now he can come up with a name that doesn't use inappropriate periods or apostrophes! -
Do you mean your avatar (the thing i have) or your signature (the thing I'll punch you in the face for)?

Do what Hamster suggested, then go to the Technical Issues & Bugs section of the forum and read the ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread, and post your HiJack This and CoHHelper logs.
That'll give us far more information, all the better to help you with. -
Only leader of a team can start a flashback arc, and only the leader of the team will get the arc specific reward (like the Wedding Band for that one arc), but the entire team will get any flashback rewards as well as credit for completing that arc (as well as the arc completion badges, if any).

Actually, if you're trying to buy stuff, it's BETTER for you if they DON'T spend it. Them spending it would drive up demand and decrease supply... causing prices on the market to go up, making it harder for everyone to buy anything.

My post was written with the global account limit in mind. I can only trade X recipes in a day. Period. Well, I'd be able to get the merits for the X recipes every day for a really freaking long time due to how many tickets I have saved up across several characters (I kept having to switch characters cause I couldn't spend the tickets fast enough!)

They wouldn't pick it if it was a clone of super jump with just that change. They would if it was its own travel power, with its own pros and cons, with that being one of the cons. The less control would make it more like Teleport in that respect, as it doesn't have very good control and is practically useless for short distances, but for macro movements (not micro), it should work rather well.

A few things: IIRC, the new exmp/mal system allows you to keep powers up to 5 levels higher than the level you're lowered to, which should GREATLY ease getting all those badges.
Secondly, I'd also recommend the Spines/WP. Spines is a flat out awesome set with all the range and AoE (I <3 spines!), and WP is very survivable early on, as well as should be easy for dual boxing... /regen would be my alternative to wp, but it takes a lot more effort to dual box with... but the speed boost would make it even better.
Thirdly, even the worst Scrapper combo is gonna kick some serious *** with the kin buffs, so just pick something that seems interesting to you and worry less about min/max. -
Best I can tell, it'll send your status, screenshots, 'blog' (?), level ups, "perks", items, and "super group" stuff to twitter, facebook, and two other services.
All of which should be possible with a modified version of HeroStats's engine. -

You can pick up a decent wireless keyboard and mice for pretty cheap (I bought one several years ago for like $30... it included its own battery charger). The response time was very good, it didn't cause me any issues in fast twitch FPS games so there should be no issue in CoH.
Personally, I'd recommend a real (wired or wireless, doesn't matter) keyboard and mice over a controller or "air mouse" any day. Controllers might be neat to toy around with for a while, but at the end of the day they'll just be a toy. And air mice... I hope you have a steady hand! Also, wireless keyboard+mouse will be pretty cheap (there's lots of wireless laptop mice... logitech makes a VERY nice one which has an obscenely long battery life).
Of course, the real question is... bluetooth or usb + radio? I've personally only used usb + radio, so can't say how well BT works for this. -
Isn't something like this (not the twitter/other junk integration) already part of some of the Titan Network programs? I, personally, don't see a need for this (hell, I wouldn't want CoH going anywhere near my 'social networking')... but I'm fairly certain that all of that functionality can be implemented using the HeroStats engine (since it monitors that type of stuff).

Glad you already forgot the XP smoothing and Patrol XP... maybe you'll remember the XP bump for 1-20 coming in i16?
Posi isn't very good, and the devs have said so. They just have a limited amount of time, and completely rewriting a task force (which will piss off some people, there's always someone) takes quite a lot of time and has simply slipped in favor of new content.
Also, could you at least TRY to organize your sentences to make a little sense? You're jumping from subject to subject so it makes it rather difficult to know exactly what you're talking about (it appears like you contradict yourself multiple times in that post... then again, I could be giving you too much benefit of the doubt, and you are indeed simply contradicting yourself).

I never do the tutorial, but I'd most definitely start doing it if this option was in there! Walking for 10 minutes to get to a tailor is NOT my idea of fun- and rerolling is also not fun at all, especially if you hadn't saved the costume immediately before rolling.
Also, you might end up re-rolling 3+ times trying to get it looking right in the REAL light of the game... I'd imagine that Power Customization would just exacerbate the issue. -
Quote:Good news! They are, when fought under the same conditions. It's just that AE includes conditions you won't get outside of AE... you can't compare those special conditions to the non-AE conditions... as there is NO equivalent, comparison attempts would thus be silly.
reward parity is when a council boss in AE and non AE give exactly the same xp. not 50%
Quote:it has nothing to do with xp per min.
Quote:If that is true, they are destined for failure. penalizing what your customers find fun and trying to force them to unfun activities does not bode well for the future.
1.) Fix outliers (buff missions with too little xp, nerf ones with too much)
2.) Global change to put all the content more in line with what's desired (i.e. XP smoothing, the buff to XP from 1-20, etc).
In other words, the end result is MORE options with better XP.
Quote:I can see and amusement park that penalizes customers for using the most popular rides to try and get them to go on the unpopular ones. While refusing to fix the thing the customers find unfun. -
I'd personally not mind a 'swinging' set (or a swing set, for that matter
) being in this game. But I do not want a new travel power that's just a clone of an already existing one with just different names and animations.
A swinging travel power should have pros and cons compared to the other travel powers. Maybe it doesn't have suppression in the normal sense, but while it's in use you can't really stop moving and you keep swinging around with poor-ish control. Also, when first activating before you can actually move the hook has to shoot out to the target (whatever that is), and then you start swinging forward (you can curve, and rotate your character, but no sudden movements... i.e. kinda like you're on a real swing).
---
A short while ago the devs (IIRC, Positron) mentioned that they have toyed with the idea of adding new travel powers, but its been rejected each time. Can't remember the specifics of why, but if anyone can find the article (should be somewhat circa when i16/powercustomization was being announced) I believe it gave a reason. -
When I think 'end game' I think level 50, although generally any level 50 content in this game is also available for 45-49s as well... so 'end game' being defined as 45-50 makes sense.
This is the reason you should define terms without fixed definitions before using them! Not doing that will often cause two(+) people to argue about something they agree on! -
Quote:Don't know what your position is or what type of company you work for, but I'd say a 'no youtube' policy without flat out blocking youtube is a good thing, as there are going to cases where watching a video on youtube would actually be benficial (again, it varies by the job). Your IT department should have no issue tracking your activies online (both at the gateway level as well as by local monitoring), so they can still know if you're goofing off on youtube.I am work I don't do Hyperlinks because their internet policy especially to YouTube, which is super against the rules but not Locked out [figure that out]
I'd say an IT department that treats the employees as adults is a good thing. Far too often I see IT departments that think the employees are there to serve them, while in fact the IT department's role is to make the employee's job easier (no, 5 megs of space for email is just a stupid idea! hard drive space is DIRT CHEAP).
