Really love Juggertha, excellent pose, great work overall on that.
Not bad on Cerulean Archer, I love the look of the bow and you really seemed to capture the arrow firing pose greatly. My only complaint about the piece is the legs, they look like they are at awkward angles, and though I like the idea of the one ripped pant, it's hard to tell if that's what's going on with her legs. Aside from that, I really enjoyed seeing what you came up with from the bio and not the picture. If you want to see my in-game version of here, just click here. She's the first character of mine to get drawn, so yay!

You would be somewhat right about the legs. Yes they are at an abnormal twist. I wanted there to be some aspect to her pose that showed a bit of bashfulness. I know some people (and is abused in anime to a sense) tend to point their toes together when under pressure or embarrassment. While not saying Cerulean is embarrassed, it was one of the few things I could do to convey her still being somewhat timid (as is how I saw her from the Brief). So yes, the positioning is a bit awkward, but I still liked how it diminished the otherwise powerful pose. -
Why you gotta go and smash the place up like that ?
A little Surprise Art for ya, man. Color Edition will make its way by soon. Just a little somethin' for being a pillar to the Art Community here in the months past.
Edit: Really though, do I need an excuse to draw that guy rampaging about the place? -
Prepare of the update of the century:
Read the Cascadia Event from my Journal, then start the action in order:
White Peregrine (1)
Fraenir (2)
Surprise Guest (3)
Crestent (4)
Cerulean Archer (5)
Surprise guest is the "Extra Extra" addition of the Briefs Project, but not really part of the project. Will be making a separate, unique post on it.
Also, don't have complete time to put the last two pieces of the story, will update a note when completed for those who'd like to follow along at home. -
-
I cannot currently upload anything to Deviant Art, bum deal as seeing I have four pieces in line waiting :/
Hoping the staff there figures out what's going on as I seem to be in limited portions of who this is effecting currently.
I'll at least say this: Fraenir, Crestent and White Peregrine are the ones waiting to be docked. There is also one other piece coming with this group as well that is not part of the "Project Briefs".
Free sketch to anyone who figures out who's or what toon it is before it gets posted.
Edit: Add Cerulean Archer to that list, Shrike and Devious's coming soon as well... -

Is this still alive?

Several month's later? In a fashion, yes.
Surprise? I know, you're all like "Wha? Dude, didn't you like die or something? Where's our art"
On a serious note, yes I still have them [the list]; however life otherwise has me far too busy, among other things. Ontop of that I had felt a little...dissapointed with some of my work in between and did some things to improve. There is a new batch of Briefs that will be coming out, along with a few other surprises for some other Artz Members. I was going to wait to post about this until I had everything ready, but I think I'd rather leave everyone in pending suspense instead!
The new batch is going to be different and open for some criticism (or looking for anyway) and will be coming with some additional twists to supplement them.
Edit: Just in case I felt it may be important to say that this will be the close of this Project. What's been submitted so far I will do what I can to complete, but the learning curve has gotten me to where I think I want it, and from here on will be focused on improving that. -
Okay, Okay, ...Okay, I'll be back in just a moment with mine :P
Everyone's (for the most part) been going off that Chilled theme so I think I should throw one in there that has his own unique look, then ices up. His name is Simian Element (Stone/Ice Tanker). Maybe someone'll get it :P Not very high in level yet either, but the image should still portray the general idea.
Simian Element -
Went and grabbed a more solid screenshot for another character in my inventory that, to some degrees, is more threatening than Rogziel (Haven't figured it out though yet, stuff keeps running away from them in the game :P ).
Rorik Nightingale
While it seems the sun shall not rise for a few weeks in Paragon City, the blood on his horns and face are still prevalent, starry eyes gazing atop the Portal Court for the next in line. Born in the chaos of a Longbow raid during a Circle of Thorns summoning. When the ritual went wrong, and the sacrifice ran, a new host was needed to house the Envoy as he crossed worlds. Finding the new life of an unborn child amidst the soldiers of red and white; he took refuge in a mother until the day he could escape.
Months later the diligence of M.A.G.I. was able to unbind most of the demon from the unborn host but was still unsuccessful in preventing the damage that had occurred. Born half mutated, both demon and man, was hidden by the city officials in hopes that this monstrosity could be contained.
Decades later, the once child now no longer restrainable by Azuria, broke free into the world in hopes of seeking his other half and either finishing, or ending, his ritual. Obtaining stolen security clearances over the next few weeks he was able to locate a new batch of Circle reattempting the same rite from 25 years ago. While unable to prevent the Shadows appearance, he was still able to defeat his hidden self and believed to have freed the demon within.
Left in a coma after the event he battled within his mind for supremecy of the body that was rightfully his. It wasn't until the guidance of an "angel" that set him free and he was "reborn" (awoke) with glistening feathered wings and a new control of the powers that still lingered. He would later discover that it was merely a small pact made against his knowledge that once every cycle of the moon he would undergo a transformation that would crave innocence and feed. He would have to hide his secret from the world, and dawned a new identity in the society of Heroes.
With the renewed assistance of Azuria, the Red Sun began walking the streets of Paragon, and on occasion a night would pass he would be truly fearful of himself and the news the next day. It would be the story he would feel shame for and fight to atone in centuries to come.
There truly still is a demon that goes *bump* in the night. -
Doesn't come off initially as a very threatening character from the selection screen, but in game I've had enough people stop in front of me, double take and then send me a tell (long after they're gone) with something along the lines of "okay, that was creepy."
The long term effect comes once he starts shrouding down (DM/DA) and you catch him in one of the missions out there with poor lighting (caves/council). Many a times he has come out of a dark corner and folks gone "Agh?! Oh...o_O"
Rogziel
If you want to see the Bio, I can post that too(But I'd have to pull it out of the game).
And for an extra twist:
Rogziel - angel of punishment whose name means "the wrath of God." -
Sadly I think I was the only one disappointed by the Elemental Shields.
-
I'll have to start taking tally of those upset so I can laugh when its released. I do recall Positron making a statement along the affects of:
"The Mission Architect is going to allow players to do much of what our own designers can do but with a much simpler and smoother ease-of-use and learning curve. Its so much like the original process in ability that we want to use it for ourselves, but that we can't do." -
Disappeared (in a sense) for a bit back there, been busy and dealing with a lot of things as of late. I am, however, attempting to find some time when I can (an hour here and there) to jump into CoH to drift away.
Digressing from my point though: I found something in my run through Croatoa this evening that I thought a few of you might get a chuckle out of.
See it Here.
Not on a Mountain Top, but I'm sure it still would have spoken to me.
Yes, I do know how it appeared in game, but for the record it was a non-targetable, non-aggroable entity graphic and does not defeat its amusement and entertainment. -
Ah, she's not "exposed" outside of anything the game itself doesn't permit as acceptable so you're okay.
-
Going to be so busy when those become accessible...
-
Crazy, everyone's throwing stabs at Frank XD
-
Here's my next installment to B&W Monochromatic Speeds, along with a tie in to my Origins Project given the character involved in the piece.
-
I may have gone overboard with Creepifying the image: You Judge, Frank.
-
...not really into the movie, but in the interest of my curiosity, I'll do it!
-
Not very often that someone finds an artist I haven't started keeping tabs on before, Irving Zero though? Definitely did some DevWatching on that. That Rocket Boy piece has a feel to it.
-
Tobiee[deviantart.com] to any that might have ever caught his work, recently put out some speed paintings in some monochromatic schemes that really caught my attention. So much to the point that I decided to start doing some as well to develop experience with digital speed painting.
This is the first Here . And I know there's a few others out there in the community who do Digital work as well, so to any that'd be interested in playing along (as I thought it'd be kind of interesting to see a multitude of B&W work pop up in different styles) I challenge [you] to "throw down" a few B&W/MonoChromatic pieces here in the community. (And for any in Deviantart, maybe see if we can start one of those ludicrous trends that happen from time to time)
Edit on an Edit:
Just for some potential ground rules. Only use of a single (Dark) color and all scales you can produce through opacity to its white counterpart. (This would hopefully make sense for digital people attempting this). In short, using Black in a brush under 60% opacity and pen pressure opens up everything from Black to light grays, then with the addition of white as the top source of light and "eraser". Hopefully that all makes sense to everyone else as it does in my tired synapses. -

About to let everyone into something that's buried inside my head, and has been so for many years until recently I decided to find the means to bring it to life. Bringing the beginning of it here because it's taking a character idea I developed inside City of Heroes, and am moving to his true existence. For those curious to see what happens when an idea has the chance and time to grow with time inside the "City of", and becoming something more, and develop into its own entity.
This is the beginning .
And until I am able to process the entire thing in this man's style. (or steal his talent), I will not be satisfied.

Gonna get the dutduda for askin this but: Isn't that John Romita Jr. art?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, yes it is. He's one of the few artists Marvel employs that I truly enjoy the work of. It was because of his work that I had (while I could afford it at the time) gotten back into comics. He has a very unique style that not many others out there can match. This same style and fame resulted in him being given the throne to the Eternals when it came out, and they've revisited him to Amazing Spider-Man because of the attraction he generates. -
...Guess you don't want to know that Wii Fit is the only Wii anything that stays in stock in my town. Granted its usually only one or two per store that stay on the shelves for any period of time. Finding a Wii is the problem I have in general 10 Blockbusters, 5 Walmarts, 7 Super Targets, 4 KMarts, 12 Gamestops/EB Games, 2 Toys R' Us, and we can't keep a Wii in stock on any given day long enough to see it in the paper before they're gone.

Drive? That requires Roads. Where I've been, we don't need no stinkin' roads. -
Okay, didn't manage to get it all completed in one day, so two sufficed.
Origins 002
The story will continue but I may not continue updating here the results. -

very slick, the writing definitely keeps one interested, and a bit curious to know the rest.

Shooting to get the next one done tonight. We'll see.
