Tobiee[deviantart.com] to any that might have ever caught his work, recently put out some speed paintings in some monochromatic schemes that really caught my attention. So much to the point that I decided to start doing some as well to develop experience with digital speed painting.
)
This is the first Here . And I know there's a few others out there in the community who do Digital work as well, so to any that'd be interested in playing along (as I thought it'd be kind of interesting to see a multitude of B&W work pop up in different styles) I challenge [you] to "throw down" a few B&W/MonoChromatic pieces here in the community. (And for any in Deviantart, maybe see if we can start one of those ludicrous trends that happen from time to time
Edit on an Edit:
Just for some potential ground rules. Only use of a single (Dark) color and all scales you can produce through opacity to its white counterpart. (This would hopefully make sense for digital people attempting this). In short, using Black in a brush under 60% opacity and pen pressure opens up everything from Black to light grays, then with the addition of white as the top source of light and "eraser". Hopefully that all makes sense to everyone else as it does in my tired synapses.
