  4. Anyone have an answer for this? Or just their own theory? I would just like to hear opinions about having buffs (example thermal with buffs/heals) or Debuffs (example Dark Miasma with Debuffs/Heals) is better end game? Please just use Mastermind secondaries as examples since this is based around Masterminds and just wondering which is technically better in the end. TYVM!

  8. Can anyone post a basic IO build please for DM/SD?

    I do have Numina and Miracle Uniques and 2 LotG globals and a kismit accuracy you can throw in somewhere also. I looked at a lot of builds and they are all uber builds it seems. TYVM for any help!

    You know you were totally correct, I honestly was paying no attention to melee/range/aoe so yes that does seem "decent", but not godly or anything? I do think now it might be cooler than I thought with dark melee though with those stats.

  12. I am planning to make a DM toon. I am stuck between regen(scrapper obviously) or WP or SD either a scrapper or brute? Which would be better overall? I plan to get IOs at L25 and some lower cost sets as I level, but nothing to expensive really. The main thing though is I am not sure which would be the best on a scrapper or a brute? I think I heard SD is better on a scrapper since it raises base dmg or something and scrappers have way higher base dmg? I dunno?

    I suppose by "best" I just mean best dmg and best survival? TYVM for any help.

    I often thought the same thing since I have so many /rad controllers and that is my normal secondary. I have thought about it for quite a long time with other people making the same suggestion, but I personally have come to the conclusion that /rad might not be as cool as it might seem in thought. I think that /sonic would end up being much nicer and more fun overall for masterminds.

    I just think it depends on how they bring radiation over to masterminds and how they nerf it since they definitely will not bring it over how it is now, it would be way to powerful most likely. I for one would Loooove to have choking cloud with a lockdown chance for hold on a mastermind ...

    The only problem my masterminds ever had with /dark was with Longbow, but they seem to give everyone problems honestly ... I will be playing blue side, so I guess longbow will not be an issue lol.
  14. Yes, I have two attacks, and they help. You know honestly I think my dislike of thermal is really about just not even wanting to play the demon set at all knowing that none of it really counts and I am going to have to re-do it all anyway, so I am kind of playing sets I would never play to see how they are. I tried a DS/Poison and he was cooler than I would have expected. I tried a DS/TA and it actually works pretty well with demons (glue arrow is a lot of fun)

    I am trying to stay away from dark since that is at the top of my mind. I am trying to play different so my experiences are kinda new. I want to try pain, but it seems exactly like thermal until L16 or something and I do not feel like doing that again lol. I wish we had some new secondaries to go with demons.
  15. I am trying to stick with demons/thermal, but my god it is so boring. I can barely stand it honestly. I am sure it will be a ton nicer once I get forge and the debuffs, but can I even last that long? Ugg, I miss Storm, because it is never boring! I might just drop the awesome resist in exchange for fun lol.
  16. OK JayboH so you deleted all the folders, did you change the name of the exe to make it DL from the EU instead of the US? It sounds like now you are not doing something correctly because this work around has worked for me and others now. I feel bad you can't log in to test so I want to keep helping you for sure. Can you post a pic of what your updater exe looks like and the path it goes to etc?

    Well, Hellions are only for a very small level range. I forgot about carnies so yes against them, Nemesis have that aoe fire I think which can be horrible, but I don't remember council doing any big fire attacks? I will just say YAY to not fighting against longbow ...
  18. Yes, I keep thinking about /dark also because it is honestly so awesome lol. It is just that I have already played it so much and I have never played thermal, so I am trying to stick with something new. I think it will honestly be better when I get higher level and especially when I just get IOs.

    I might also try /storm since I love storm and storm is ALWAYS fun imo. I would take aid other and aid self and since the minion can help heal it should be good.

    I have had thoughts of /poison also, but it just seems way to single target for me to ever really enjoy.


    I just keep wondering how thermal will be on blue side? I know on red a lot of stuff has aoe fire to destroy my pets, but I dont know on blue side, I cant remember lol.
  19. Well, I plan to solo and group when I am able to find a group. My thinking is this though from my experience thus far. I will have an AoE heal which is way better than no heal + I have two shields to keep on the team + I have forge to keep on a few people + I will have the leadership powers running. If they are not happy with all that then well I am probably in a bad group I don't need or want to be in anyway lol.
  20. JayboH did you "DELETE" ALL the folders in the test folder before you tried to DL from the eu DL connection? There should not be anything for it to try and fix if you did? I dunno? Mine did not try to fix anything after I deleted all the folders?
  21. I am trying /thermal right now and I actually like it with demons. It always seemed that everything that kicked the crap out of my pets was an AoE "FIRE" attack. So having high fire resist will be very welcome indeed. The only thing though is that I will be playing blue side and I am not sure if I will need high fire resist on blue compared to red. On red we have longbow and scrapyarders and CoT. I can only think of CoT on blue side? What does anyone else think about this?

    I also think I might skip Cauterize since the buffer demon can help heal also and I will still have my aoe heal + two shields, but that is still undecided and a lot will depend on how much powers I have left and still want etc. I will probably also skip thaw and power of the phoenix.

    What do you guys think would be more useful? Nemesis staff or Black wand? I am trying black wand for the first time on test, but I am honestly really missing the KD from Nemesis staff and I thought it might mix well with whips KD? I dunno yet. I do plan to be magic origin, so I don't know how much I would miss the extra damage from nemesis staff yet. The black wand does pretty good damage now, but I am thinking extra KD would be better at higher levels when I will have two whip attacks and my demons will do more than enough damage without me.

    Demon Set

    I am playing demons/thermal right now and all I can say is wow. I can't believe how much more fun this set is compared to the fun mastermind sets in place already. The MM attacks make you feel like you are actually helping with the -res and KD. I am kinda sad because everyone is going to be demons and well, I dont blame them. I honestly think they will have to change other sets to match the awesome sauce they cooked this set up with.

    PS. I wonder if the devs were playing overlord when they made these demons? How they act and talk reminds me a lot of that game.

    edit: I forgot to add that it is still going to take a long time to DL this patch for some people maybe 5 hours, but yes it IS working albeit slowly, yet WAY faster than the US which well, doesn't seem to be working at all.

    edit: just another update that it is still working. I only have 45 min left now until it is done, so yes it IS a working "work around".

    Well, technically he is not a hypocrite and he did not do anything to make him a hypocrite that we have seen. He only stated his opinion. It is human nature to be jealous, I know I would be pissed honestly if I didn't get it when I knew other people did, that does not mean I would not be happy for the other people, but hell yeah I would be jealous. I can see 100% why people who have actually been "playing" and "paying" this entire time would feel a little jealous or even angry about this, but things happen and well, you just have to accept or forget about things you can't change.
