  2. I am looking for a softcapped bots/time preferably without protector bots shield. It CAN include the pvp +3def IO. I want softcapped to all positions not just S/L please. I have 10 billion to throw around so feel free to make him nice.


    PS: Does anyone know a bind or macro to cast Temporal Selection on the Assault Bot?
  3. Yes, I am going crazy without Mids. I am only L47 but it is still horrible lol.
  4. The thing about mace mastery though is it has no heal. I do not like the ice armor look, but it does not take away from the value of it. I also love the self +hp and heal for a set that only has drain life. You also get blizzard which is quite nice for AoE and even sleet if you want some more aoe fun.

    I have been leveling now and I am L47 Dark/Dark/Soul and I often find that I forget to even use soul drain. I also have SO many attacks and dark control powers I am finding it difficult to have them all lol. So I think I am going to switch to Ice and see how I like that. I know I loved it on my Ice/Psi/Ice.
  5. I don't want to softcap range when my aoe is melee and Midnight grasp range is so short you need to me in melee also. I want to softcap S/L at the very least.
  6. I am playing Dark/Dark/Soul right now and I love soul drain, but I also want to get softcapped. Are you basically forced to take Ice armor to get softcapped? As much as I like the thematic value of taking soul I think I would like to live longer also lol.
  7. Haunt and the beast are good places for 4 slotted EP for the 6.25% recharge, at least while leveling up anyway.
  8. Yes, I use fearsome stare for alpha. I have my 6 slotted ATO in it and I love it. I use FS probably more than anything else and the fear enhancements kinda suck imo. I do not care about slotting for -hit because I am dark/dark/soul and everything I do is -hit anyway.
  9. Basically start with fearsome stare then living shadows then run in and heart of darkness and start attacking ... use engulfing darkness whenever it is up.

    If there is a boss feel free to confuse him before you throw the fearsome stare and cast haunt as you see fit ...
  10. It is not advisable to skip your pet on a controller IMO, but on a dominator they are all optional. We don't need them and a lot of the time they cause unwanted aggro and just get in the way. It would be fine if at the very least we could put them on passive or aggressive at our choosing. My final build might not have the pet either, although it is a nice power to slot for an extra 6.25% recharge so I will see how it goes if mids ever updates. I am going to keep it while I am leveling to 50 though at least.

  12. I am slotting it in fearsome stare while I level up. I am not putting six slots in my single target hold when I am already starving for slots at low levels. I might even keep it like that since IMO it is nicer than the other fear sets you can have anyway.
  13. I personally love ice control and it is my favorite dominator. That said, I am in the billions as far as my build is concerned. I don't think someone should have to spend that much to be as good as another set. I personally don't think ice slick is our key power, I think it is arctic air. I see way to many ice controllers without arctic air and it amazes me. I could never even think about not taking that power. I just wish domination worked on it to make the confuse stronger.

    I also think that the -KD needs to be removed from our AoE Immobile so that ice slick will work with that.
  14. Ah tyvm! I saw you post a few times with builds, but I was not sure which build you eventually went with. I really appreciate you posting that because I saw so many and I was really lost lol. This is excellent tyvm!

    PS: I looked and I really like the build all except it does not have frag grenade which is one of my favorite powers for AoE. I wonder if it is possible to add that somehow I will play around with it and see! The build overall though is really cool!

    Yes, I kinda realized that nothing really went as well IMO with ice than ice/psi since both de-buff recharge. I also did not know I22 was coming out so soon. I decided to just stick with waiting to make my long awaited dark/dark dominator. I might try ice/dark down the line though since I really love the doms version of dark assault.
  16. I am trying to make a tankercrab and I am getting overwhelmed by all the post and different builds. Could anyone point me in the direction or post an actual build that is softcapped to directional damage and has pets. I would prefer no purples and no pvp 3% please. Also if you could leave out frenzy as I hate that power so far and I am not going to keep it. TYVM!

    Ice/?

    Thanks for all the replies. I think I will try Ice/Earth and Ice/Fire and see which one I like more. I am Ice/Psi/Ice right now and I have 50ish def vs S/L and if I change that then I might not be softcapped which I would not like. My Aoe is pretty decent and I can kill fairly quick, but the main problem seems to be that Psi is just not that strong vs single targets. I spend most of the time with the last guy standing who is normally a red or purple boss that takes forever to kill.

    Hello, I have a L50 Ice/Psi Dom that I love and he is totally pimped out with purples and IO's, but I was looking to maybe find a better attack set than Psi. Psi is pretty good, but it is pretty much all range and with AA I am fine being in melee. I am just not sure which would be the best. I was thinking maybe Thorns for all the AoE, but any suggestions will be appreciated! TYVM!

  20. I am just wondering if anyone has made these brutes yet? Any experience? I like /fire, but it is so squishy. I was hoping this might make it more viable for more than farming. I know some great things have been done with Katana/Dark scrappers, so hopefully it would be just as good on the more tanky brute.
  21. Well, of course it would be nice if Domination did more for Ice control, but the mez protection is incredibly useful. Without that I get held/mezed and arctic air gets turned off then I am basically screwed lol. I would NOT be happy if all it did was fill my end, but if all it gave was mez prot then that would be more than enough for me.
  22. Here is the build I changed to fit what I wanted ... I wanted it to have 12 KBP and 45 def S/L ... Also a bit more recharge ... What do you guys think?

    I might possibly change vengeance for RotP since it only takes healing flames from 11.8 to 12.15 ... and dying does happen, so it would be nice to have that ...

  23. Yes, all I do is PuG normally ... The main reason I made this guy is AoE carnage and reactive ... I will definitely go for softcap S/L def tyvm!


    PS: I also noticed that some only had 4 or 8 points of KB which I did not like. I know you are supposed to have a minimum of 12 from all I have read.

    Oh, and as nice as fireball is, I am going soul. I want to get gloom, the AoE and darkest night. I see nobody seems to get DK, but I actually love it and think it is a good pulling tool also.

    I am now confused ... Which is better softcapped S/L or just going for 20ish positional? I did not really think about doing that ... I know 'almost' every attack has some sort of S/L in it, but having decent def against all positional would be nice also, so now I don't know which to build for lol.

    Stone Armor

    I would go SS or FM honestly. If you have a lot to spend then go SS and then you can IO to deal with the rage crash + running mud pots, tough+weave, and possibly maneuvers ... The rage crash is not so bad and the hasten crash is not so bad, but both combined with a lot of toggles can really suck sometimes. Just getting to def caps on brute SA is not all that difficult, but you need def caps + recharge + sustainable end. The great thing about SS though is it is SMASHtastic and you can throw the +recharge proc in foot stomp which is awesome on SA.

    A lot of people just build for +recharge and then end up face-planting against anything with de-buffs ... IMO I think you should build for a good balance ...

    If you choose FM then you have no rage crash and FM does insane damage also and DoTs benefit from fury which is great. I think FM/SA is an excellent combo and also very thematic since you can make your armor look like magma.
