OK I did the respec and wow I love it already, this AoE web is way better than the mu cone imm, I changed the last power from the ST hold to the mace volley (for my own enjoyment) I dont think losing that ST hold will make a bit of difference and now I have a decent aoe dmg that is a lot of fun to use.

OK cool tyvm, I will respec and go with that build then. When I am farming right now at L50 I am just doing -1/+8 is there a reason to even go higher? I still get 50 enhancements so I dont see the point? This way it is just super easy and fast.

Check this build out. I couldn't post the build because Mids is screwing up when I try to import for some reason? All I get is a huge paragraph of like [color: and a lot of mumbo jumbo. If you have the time check it out and let me know what you think. I Have over 50ish defense with everything. That seems decent, my global recharge is low, but I am not going to fight AVs anymore so I dont care. I wonder how much I will honestly "need" taunt though. I could take a Travel power then lol.

I looked on the guides, but the Bots/Traps seemed to be a bit dated. I am looking for a good build for Bots/Traps. My plans are just to farm paper missions really. It would be fine to be able to kill AVs/Heroes, but I have done that and I am kinda over that also. I just want to do missions for purples/money now.

I have 800m to spend right off the bat.

I have taunt on my build now and I want to scrap it. I want to take Stealth instead and stack it with my stealth IO.

Whatever travel power is fine except hover/fly since I don't want to have to keep turning hover off to put down traps, although I suppose AS/Fly would not be to bad since I mostly just use ninja run anyway.

I was thinking maybe a def build? I have Man/Tacs now and I was thinking about the patron +def scorp shield might be nice with that also? Any ideas or builds would be appreciated! TYVM!

LoL yeah, there were 3-4 purple nulls! Yay fun times! I need to turn it down for sure, but I was just seeing how it went. It did not go well at all! I did get some badges though woot.

I am L40 right now doing my patron and +2/+8 Longbow and getting my @ss kicked big time on Thugs/Dark lol. I think /Storm would do much better against longbow.

I was just looking at /Dark and wondering how much you would actually be able to stack stuns. With OG it is only mag 2 which is decent, put in SM Fault and it could stack very nicely. I also see Maces have a lot of stun, but the chance to stun seems pitifully low?(Namely the AoE stun) Does anyone have experience with these sets and stacking stuns?

So with just Ios a shield would not be that great correct? You need expensive sets right? So I am looking at a billion or more just to make him good enough to be a farmer, which to get money in the first place is why people farm lol.

My best bet it seems like would just to suck it up and jump on the bandwagon and make a SS/WP Brute. I have a billion on red side, plus miracle recovery and numina recovery with chance for + end proc, so I guess I could make a sturdy WP brute, I would just need to p/u the special regen enhancement.

The no Dmg Aura really bothers me though, I know granite is 30% less dmg, but mut pots seem to do some nice dmg that really adds up, so I wonder if the dmg would be that much of a difference if I made a SS/WP Brute?

Right now I am playing a SS/SA and even in granite he can kill pretty quickly. His resist are obviously excellent also, but I know he is slow compared to what others can do lol. I just hate to make a Willpower anything uggg. I am level 44 right now, and I am building for recharge. I just don't think he will cut it for a true farmer though in the end unless I was purpled out.

OK, after reading a lot on farming brutes it seems SS/Fire is the best for most farms and especially 8 man Nemesis, but I am also wanting to take this brute blue side with GR and he would be my blue side farmer, so would SS/Fire still be the best? On Red I love SS/Fire because longbow flame throwers can bite me! Take that fire patch and shove it lol.

I have a fire/rad controller already (I wont play /kin anything)and he farms fine. I wonder if a brute will do better or worse than that combo blue side. I know status protection is excellent obviously, but I have a decent recharge status protection from my epic power set. Any opinions about this?

I am just wondering if anyone farms 8 man Nemesis with any combo? I know that honestly they destroyed my Bots/Traps when I was grouped(this was before the mission slider changes) I have not tried solo since. I know I can destroy just about anything 8 man though with most of my masterminds, but Nemesis with Vengeance kinda scare me /cry lol.

I was thinking maybe thugs/dark ... send in brute to take alpha, put down tar pit and send them to attack, the corrupter throws in his fire patch and then that might do it. It kills everything else lol.

I had taunt on my L50 Bots/traps, but honestly I rarely used it. With traps you already have so much to do as it is and if you are doing it correctly then taunt is not needed at all imo. I dropped it and got Assault instead and I am much happier. When you get Assault bot and then the level 32 upgrade you really won't need anything else. I even dropped aid other and I don't even miss it, but it was very helpful when I was leveling to heal my Bots. It is just about the level. You get to L12 and it is game changing, you get to level 26 and it is game changing, you get to 32 and it is game changing.

I would suggest taunt on a Bots/FF though, I liked it a lot on that build. You make a nice team tanker.

I am just wondering if fire/shield would be the most damage for single and aoe a brute can get? I was looking on the scrapper forums and it shows fire brute is way on top of other primaries for damage since the fire dots go up with fury. I also assume fire is not as resisted as lethal/smashing? I am looking to make a big time damage dealer, but the lack of a heal of any kind always bothers me. I know I can get aid self, but timing it will be annoying lol.

I keep having lag and map served constantly on CoV side. I have no problems in CoH or any other game for that matter. The only game to ever lag me was CoV and I am wondering why? I am posting this now because losing map server has gotten much worse lately.

I am looking for a controller type mastermind for group play mostly. I have played storm quite a lot on other toons and I did get a necro/storm to 32 before I deleted him? I have no idea why now, but I think I was just really bored by the necro set honestly. I have never got a ninja to the point where I got Oni though. I am wondering if Oni + storm would give me that feeling of more control. I have visions of snow storm or freezing rain + the Oni casting rain of fire on large groups of mobs. I would like feedback on these sets if anyone has got up to L32 with Ninja storm.

Well, there is no way I am not taking OG, and as for ST, yeah it looks awesome, but it is still a long recharge rez. I have decided I would rather stay alive longer than have a cool rez. I could always skip slash though, take DS early and not use it then take ST still with the rest. I would think I would have enough attacks, I wont really need slash.

Thanks for the excellent post Werner. I have decided to take Hasten/SS probably, or just hasten with no TP at all. I might drop cloak of fear also(well, I am 24 now, I have not picked it up yet, so I probably wont at all I suppose. I will also only slot DS with the fire proc and put more end red in it. Yes I think I will also drop soul transfer and pick up Punch/Tough at least even if I don't get weave (undecided) , but I might for more def and another global recharge.

You think I would still have to worry about end with Stamina, natural perfection, Numina+Miracle? Sheesh

I also can't seem to make room for Tough. I don't know what to let loose. I like it all lol. Do I really need it?
