Quote:Yeah, this is awesome. Not as good an UniqueDragon, but pretty awesome.this is awsome.
I made another thread about, basically, Games vampiring your/our lives, and this cute answer shows up in a 'sorta' deat sentence to the game...
To lionheart, since he 's french, and i am too, i wonder.
Do u live in some HLM? (rougly translatable as Habitation on Low Morgage) meanning 'social' housing'...; and if so, aint there a green place not so far, so you can avoid your kid watchin tv, or you really feel that digital surrounddings will keep a baby safe in that cruel world???
Just wondering.

I'm in for team two.
Put me down for Ironblade, but I can bring a controller, defender or tank if needed. -
Quote:Below average? A friend of mine likes to obliterate entire spawns - fast and alone. Fulcrum Shift + Blackstar = ugly.Right, I understand. So, Defenders become more and more useful the more there are? Does this make up for the fact that in general use they are below average? I suppose that is a matter of opinion...

Quote:Here's the issue: I read your statement as "You can build an excellent team with no DEFENDERS." However, you can just as easily replace the all caps word with any other AT name. No AT is irreplaceable. And yet defenders are quite powerful. A friend of mine runs all-defender STF's on a regular basis. With 8 defenders, you don't need *ANY* other AT. And, here's the important part, IT'S EASY. People have done the STF with all tanks and, from what I hear, it was a struggle. But all defenders is a walk in the park. With their damage being low, and another AT able to cover their main role in a team, the Defender becomes obsolete.
Eight scrappers gives you 8 times as much damage as one scrapper. But having a couple of defenders can leverage everyone on the team. Defenders are 'force multipliers'. With a few defenders, you can have enemies doing only a fraction of their normal damage, only hitting 5% of the time, and the team doing double or triple normal damage (because they can increase team damage *AND* decrease enemy resistance). In my opinion, defenders are absolutely devastating in what they can accomplish. -
Quote:A pretty reasonable position. However, I feel that, even if one or more of my teammates suck, I'll keep them alive if I can. Unless they're so bad that they can cause a teamwipe - then I'll hang them out to dry.Taunt is a crutch to support bad team members that don't know how to handle themselves in a fight. Aggro is a team responsibility.
Also, someone else said that all tanks but ice really need Taunt to hold aggro. I think that is an exaggeration. <ahem> To be fair, though, every one of my tanks EXCEPT my ice tank does have Taunt.

Also, www.badge-hunter.com has exhaustive detail on all the badges. That's where I always go to look up badges.

Quote:hmm... The respec trials normally scale to the levels actually on the team. I'm guessing you were already in the mission and had these drops and they were high-level toons quitting. You could have restarted and it would scale to the current levels. FYI, the respec trial is not hard for a duo. (Blue side. I've only done the red respec once so I'm not qualified to have an opinion.)Ahh... but i wasnt the leader on this trial/respec so the leader who got padders which i wasnt complaining so much but when left caused the cons to go from yellow to purple 2 missions in then leader dropped and then a girl had to go get her hair done and that left 2 on a 4 man trial fighting everything purple death combo so as a team it failed

Quote:This. My SG is named 'Enclave of Honor' so we went from that: Honoree, Revered, Exalted, etc. What's the SG name? I know you said it has no theme, but is there some idea behind it? It does help tie everything together into a nice, neat little package.
Give us SOMETHING to work with!

Let's re-emphasize this part. I believe regular procs have a 10% chance to do additional Minor damage. The purples have a 33% chance to do additional MODERATE level damage.
This is relatively brutal. When I'm on the Positron TF, exemping really nerfs the enhancements and one of my attacks will hit for around 50 HP. If the proc fires, it adds about FORTY points of damage. (Yes, it shows up as a separate number over the head of the target - just like controllers Containment damage.) -
Not necessarily PHYSICALLY stuck. Sometimes the game THINKS the button is still being pressed. Tapping the button a couple of times will usually fix this.
-
On the bright side, the Abandoned Sewers trial had issues also and was fixed. It works great now. Hopefully the Eden trial can get some love next. (i.e. Just fixing the level issue - the rest of the trial is remarkable.)

Quote:Personally, I'd like this. However, the ski runs get a lot of complaints because some people just don't have the 'twitch' gaming skills and some people's computers are too sluggish to allow them to have a chance. Although, as I recall, the main complaint was that they therefore had no chance at the badges. As long as there are no unique rewards associated with it, that should be fine.I wouldn't mind seeing some obstacle courses. Similar to the ski runs at the winter event.
With the introduction of 'branching' for dialog and missions, I'd like to see 'puzzle' arcs, where you have to actually figure things out. -
-
No, they do not. As to why.... I would imagine that it's to avoid exploiting where you have a bunch of your pals join just for the last mission so they get the arcs worth of merits for completing a single mission. Supporting this theory is the fact that doing the same arc through Ouroboros will award merits to everyone - they have to be in from the start and can't join mid-arc.

The Longbow Warden 2 gladiator is linked to the Disruptor badge, awarded for 400 PvP rep. At one point, Disruptor was being awarded in error for completing a mission in a PvP zone.
But yeah, getting 400 rep isn't easy. -
Quote:It depends. On my inv/EM, I have Boxing six-slotted and it's part of my attack chain. I have a fire/fire with Boxing four-slotted. My dark/dark is only level 25 but he has Boxing in his attack chain. Most of my tank are pretty lean on attacks and Boxing is tons better than Brawl.Curious as to whether either of you actually use Boxing? Heraclea has slotted it, but it's always seemed a throwaway power to get to Tough and Weave. I don't usually bother even putting it on my power bar, let alone putting an enhancement in it. Know something I don't?
On the other hand, my shield/axe tank has Tough with no additional slots and it's not in my power tray. A big part of the reason for this is that it forces a redraw. EM, fire and dark don't have a weapon. -
Quote:I think you misunderstood part of what he said. He was talking about earning 6 million prestige *in one day*.I'm not certain that earning 6M Prestige is that difficult to do for an active group. For example, when a taxi hits level 50, they are usually in the 600,000 to 750,000 Prestige range through regular play (i.e., regular missions and task forces). To err on the side of caution, let's round that down to 500,000. So to earn 6 million Prestige, a group merely needs TWELVE people that play in SG mode and reach level 50.
Nope. Prestige *IS* doubled during Double XP Weekends. If you don't believe me, check ParagonWiki on Double XP Weekends.Quote:Now, you mentioned it being Double-XP weekend, which doesn't affect Prestige accumulation, though such weekends are a good incentive for people to play. -

The 25% rez can already be affected with a medical aux.

Quote:Given that the exchange rate is SO lousy, I don't see any problem with being able to buy prestige. Try not to be so hung up on who's number one.So back to the topic. Should prestige buying be allowed, given the ability to plunk down a credit card and buy influence? Given the ability to use the market to make influence? Should prestige just be a means for a measuring stick to tell how a sg has performed on the "field"?

Misunderstanding of what 'bump' means, I would guess.
