Quote:Well, they should realize that you can't have everything starting off. It's like walking past a Ferrari dealership and despairing you'll never be able to afford a car.I don't believe that the market, or the game, is well-served by that "sticker shock" of people hitting the market for the first time. Anyone who looks, and says "I'll never be able to afford that," and ignores the market thereafter, is a person who COULD have been a participant, but was discouraged.

Not really. It's the same floating Slow Field it always was. We're still waiting for 'real' water that moves and has sound effects.
-
Negative on Reconstruction. The heal increase does NOT affect Reconstruction. Any power that grants damage resistance is not affected by healing bonuses. (And Recon gives resistance to Toxic.)
-
Just keep in mind that the final enemy in the Positron TF is ALWAYS an EB. The final enemies in the other five signature TF's are ALWAYS AV's. If you can solo a -1 AV, you're good to go. And you can skip Babbage - he's just an outdoor ambush.
-
It doesn't even do it on my dual core. CoH uses no more than 60% on both cores.

Quote:Sorry, no. You are mistaken. But when a TF that is designed to be an hour's worth of work -- even for a good team -- gives the reward for an hour's worth of work; but is done in 20 minutes... then there is a exploit involved... whether through a bug, or players cleverly leveraging the mechanics in a 'legal' way, it's an exploit.
Castle even discussed an example of this once, specifically mentioning the Repeat Offenders group of SG's. They build highly optimized superteams that can tear through any content in the game in record times. This is absolutely "cleverly leveraging the mechanics in a legal way". Note that I did not put your bogus quotes around the word legal. It's either legal, or it's not. Even Castle acknowledges that. You can build a team that leverages the mechanics and it is in no way, shape or form an exploit. -
hmm... feisty?
Quote:I guess that's a bit feisty. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that if you take away those privileges and ban anyone who is caught spamming with their main account then you solve the problem. Why hasn't this been enacted? It doesn't make any sense to allow these people to go on harassing paying customers.
-
I think the issue is that it seems a gratuitous change. I can't imagine what the goal was. It surely doesn't add any 'challange'. It's particularly irksome when an apparently frivolous change flat-out BREAKS the task force.

In the 2nd and 4th radar stations (which use the same map) the computer (glowie objective) is INSIDE the first raised platform you come to. I know this because the GM moved me in there to destroy it.
-
Definitely broken. I'm in the 2nd mission and no computer to be found. Pretty big screw-up on their part - leaving out the mission objective when they changed the maps. The map change SHOULD have been in the patch notes. Also, I don't see how this is an exploit fix since it doesn't slow you down much, if at all. You can still rush in and blitz the computer (in the first mission, where you can FIND it).
Edit: GM showed up and helped in under 10 minutes. Bad news: 4th radar station has the same problem as it uses the same map. First and 3rd radar stations are okay. This statement assumes the maps aren't selected randomly.
2nd Edit: In the 4th mission, quick GM response again. The GM moved me to the computer so I could destroy it. The computer was INSIDE the first raised platform in the big room, at ground level. -
Maybe it's been fixed in Issue 16. I got it with only two people in the event (weeks ago) but it makes no sense for it to award like that.

Quote:Is it just me, or is it ironic that the Franchman is calling everyone else in the world cowards? It is just me, or is it ironic that people on the net are hurling insults at strangers? Oh, wait, that's not ironic. That's normal.Quote:Is it just me, or is it ironic that someone who's most likely never been anywhere out of his comfy chair, in a country that hasn't seen war on its soil since centuries is suggesting on an internet forum a whole other country is full of cowards, based on Cold War propaganda ?

No, the OP's phrasing was correct. "All but immune to psionic" means the same as "practically immune to psionic". The opposite (sort of) would be "immune to all but psionic".

Quote:Nonsense. Every time you mentioned a problem with the drop rates, other posters agreed. As do I.Your not the only one that sees this I have posted about this and gotten ripped apart for it, there is a problem and don't let them tell you any different.
You got ripped apart when you thanked the devs for "killing the game". -
Actually, based on your reg date, rep and number of posts (and assuming the default settings for vBulletin have not been changed), you gave 10 points of rep.

Obviously this is not affecting everyone. In fact, it's clearly not affecting any significant number of people. That makes it very hard to track down the problem. I realize this isn't any consolation to you, but they're in the position of, "Well, first we need to figure out what is causing this... then we can think about fixing it."

Quote:orly? I think we can skip that assumption without even waiting for commentary. I also think it's ridiculous for you to take the discussion in that direction. No one suggested the devs deliberately sabotaged anything.Until we get official commentary from a Dev, I don't think it is safe to assume they are trying to make you unhappy, much less new players.
Did you not read the post??? He said there were DIFFERENT MAPS.Quote:Recently some tweaks were made to enemy AI (Malta Robots began using attacks that had always been there, but that they never used). Perhaps that explains the "beefed up mobs" in Hess's TF. As to the KHTF, it may simply have been a one time glitch. Did you run it another two or three times to see if you can get the behavior to repeat? If not, then you really have no ground to stand on to assume that they changed it... ESPECIALLY without patch notes at any point in Beta or now on Live. -
Quote:I think the Swiss Draw one is the only one that needs more than two people. The pentad can actually be done with two, as long as they are the same AT.Hey, I need all the badges which require more than two people, so count me in. My main badge hunter is an empath, Blue Roses.
If anyone needs help, I'd suggest asking on one of the badge channels. I'm on Inf Badge Seeker and have it displayed for all my toons. -

Don't flatter yourself. No one is following you. There are just lots of people who read many forum sections on a regular basis.

Quote:Drop rates have NOT been adjusted. Synapse said so.If drop rates have been adjusted then. . . Wow. . . I can see the markets going over a billion per purple!
One of the more popular theories seems to be that the team size setting creates 'phantom' teammates and the recipes go into the void. Thus, the drops are generated (and logged for the devs datamining) but no one actually gets them. -
I have exactly one character with any slots added to Brawl. He has two slots because I wanted a particular IO bonus and had nowhere else to put it. A great many of my characters do have Brawl in their attack chain. For those, I generally end up putting a Nucleolus Exposure in it.
