  1. No, the reason for my clarification was that someone unfamiliar with the rules for when purples drop might have drawn the wrong conclusion from that phrasing. I didn't misunderstand anything.

    Just for fun

We're getting a patch tomorrow. Presumably, it will give us walking.

um, to clarify, they will drop purple recipes for ANYONE regardless of the character level. I got my first purple ever on a level 35 toon. Dropping purples is based solely on the level of the defeated enemy.

Sounds like a name for a new TF. The PugMo TF. What could that be an abbreviation of?

Same here. However, I'm respectful of the fact that they are busy people. I believe that, in 4+ years of play, I have PM'ed a dev just twice. I've sent many more PM's to the community contacts.

    I hope that makes sense.
It makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, the answer is "No".

Just don't lead off with "Having been trying to make a character based on Cyclops of the X-Men,". You might as well phrase it, "Can we get new animations so I can do a Cyclops rip-off?"
  10. Weave seems like overkill on an invuln. Mine has Tough and Aid Self. After I IO'ed him for +regen, I never used Aid Self again except when tanking Lord Recluse in the STF.

FYI, I have all powers in the primary. And I agree, take Tough Hide ASAP. It's really good and costs no endurance.

    Too much loot.

It's possible. Just like with global recharge bonuses. "You can't have too much global recharge until your attack chain is 'Headsplitter - Headsplitter - Headsplitter'."

Actually, my answer for earning merits would be 'Posi'. I've run it quite a few times since merits were introduced. Task forces have an earning advantage right off since they are intended to give higher mph (merits per hour) than arcs. I think I've run it.... oh.... more than thirty times since merits were introduced.
  13. For further detail: all hero markets, including the European ones, are linked. All villain markets are linked. Hero and villain are not.

I led a MoITF run the other day and it took 1:22. People were delighted.

Same here. I farmed a little with my fire/kin but it was a nuisance assembling padders and, due to my limited experience at it, I could only handle spawns for 5 at even con. Now, set to -1 and team of 8, it's a lot more entertaining watching big crowds get obliterated.

Not a big deal. I was on a MoSTF run (successful) with a squid. As for Kahn and ITF, those are easier enough that I wouldn't even blink at having a squid on the team. More than once, I've seen a 'real' Cyst spawn right next to the bogus (non-spawning) ones in the ITF.

If I was on Triumph, I'd invite you along. I've done successful Master runs of the ITF and Kahn TF. (On Infinity.)
  17. Also, a lot of people have been talking about a memory leak in the game and that does seem to be the case. If I try to access Wentworths after several hours of play, it will sometimes crash the client. It didn't used to do this.

Bidding war! I'll give him 150K!!!

Just kidding - about the bidding war part. If you're on Infinity, I'll really give you the influence. Or on Triumph. I think I have a lot of influence on Freedom and Virtue also, but I'd have to check.
  19. It CAN be easier to get the Igneous bosses, or harder. It seems that, since the revamp, the Hollows spawns are more consistently affected by team size. Get a large team and go looking for them and you'll have no problem. There will be tons of them. Do it solo and you'll hardly see any.

I don't know if the virtual team size setting will get them to spawn as I have not tested that.
  20. What we're discussing here is the difference between what is planned and what can be accomplished with available resources. They don't always match. That's life.

With regard to TF difficulty, they did not say they'll "think about how to restore it." They said the current situation was a temporary fix. Obviously, this is not a guarantee. Nothing is. It's the current plan.

True, but the post he was talking about had an underscore in the POWER NAME. Therefore, it was incorrect.
    It was posted as powexec_name_web_envelope
when that portion should have been powexec_name "web envelope".

As you indicated, it could also have been pow_exec_name or powexecname, etc.

Cool! What instrument does she play?

Anyway, sign me up for team one.
  23. How it was "sold to the community" doesn't really matter. The inspirations themselves were the problem, and not a side effect.

Not in my opinion. I think that would be quite the nuisance as I'd have to unplug every single cable.

Why would it be? In fact, you can buy little vacuums specifically designed for cleaning out computers and other electronics.

So the game system should be inherently designed to be biased against the most loyal customers? That doesn't sound like a good business decision.
