I can't think of any intended game mechanic that could cause that. I would conclude that this is a bugged effect of the supersidekicking system. Unfortunately, as this is the first report I've seen of something like that, I think this bug will be extremely hard to track down.

Yes, and one of the healing sets has a +end proc that people like to slot in Dark Regeneration. At this point, I don't need either. I took Physical Perfection for the regen; I was already in fine shape on the endurance. I have Dark Consumption heavily slotted but rarely need it.
With all the different procs and set bonuses, you can reach a really crazy level of endurance recovery.

Could you be hitting the 30-day purchase limit on your NCSoft account? If you log into you account and go to 'Billing Summary', it will list a '30-Day Purchase Limit'. This is independent of any limit set by your credit card and also independent of the restrictions on number of purchases in a single day.

In order to receive the badge, you (or your team) must do at least 10% of the damage to defeat him. You can get the merits and candy canes for just hitting him once. Were you on a decent-sized team?

Can you give more details? Exactly what happens when it crashes? Does it just lock up? Is there an error message? A sound loop?

If you really want the badges, and are willing to do some 'work', MEMORIZE the course. Count the gates out loud as you pass each one so you embed the pattern in your brain. This will let you plan your moves and start turns early since you know what's coming up.
Edit: FYI, the specific method I used on my badge hunter (in addition to memorizing the course) was as follows (I got the badges before dual builds):
No Swift or Hurdle.
Sprint and Combat Jumping on. (Or Superjump. I checked and could do it with either.)
Keep the 'W' (forward) key depressed and steer with the mouse.
Took about 15 runs on the original course and about 10 on the newer one to get gold. -
Tell me about it. I have the Performance Shifter proc and Stamina fully (3) slotted.
AFTER that, I have an additional 45.5% recovery. That includes 2 uniques, set bonuses and Physical Perfection (which I really took for the regen). Having that crazy amount of recovery let me take Focused Accuracy as my 10th toggle. -
Hero only. I don't have any villains with the right badges.
