Thats the last time I fall asleep in Grandville. You're not very nice.
-
I had just finished thwarting Nemesis' Rikti Takeover plot by the skin of my teeth. Fusionette and The Rikti I rescued were all over the place attacking everything but Nemesis and he was throwing everything he had at me. Including more guys faster than I could kill them.
Then I run over to Grandville and have a chat with Abyss. Her first mission has me toe to toe with Ms Liberty... Who put the bullseye on my back earlier? I'd like to know. -

Of Course you could double account. If your system can handle running two CoX at the same time. And if you cant spare $15 for one month you could do a free 14 day trail. Only then you have to transfer 50k at a time max. I'm assuming though that you do trust yourself, and aren't roleplaying a thief with your new toon.

If he comes back swearing at you because his alt won't xfer the funds I blame you for giving him the idea. -

Why in the world is this the only game I've played so far where it's impossible to transfer influence/infamy between YOUR OWN CHARACTERS without needed a stranger to help you out? And even then, let's say you do find someone and that person happens to keep the money or log off, do the GMs even help you out with anything in reimbursements??
How the hell am I supposed to give money to my lowbie toons??
[/ QUOTE ]
In addition to all of the existing ways of transfering wealth-of-some-sort, there is the fact that any character can be monetarily self-sufficient fairly easily. Maybe not uber-rich at L3, but self-sufficient enough to be comfortable with minimal effort and normal game play.
I've heard that some other games don't have that.

Most MMOs don't. In WoW its a PITA to maintain the money you need unless you play the Auction house game. Lots of hours spent farming if you do it on your own.
In EQ, the Platinum game is insane. Things are so overpriced and tradeskilling is so pointless to do at this late stage in its life...
In COH, I can keep any level outfitted just by vendoring salvage and selling enhancements to the correct vendors. Challenge level also helps in netting more infamy. I've played challenge3 practically the entirety of my mains existence and Infamy has never been a problem. -
This was some stupid arc in RWZ. Save some defector. He runs in and aggros two bosses Fake Nemisis who put up their shields before I could zap one with detention field. So while they are immune to attacks and killing off my bots... anyway... I left and let it fail I didn't care at that point seeing how poorly implemented the AI was.
-
If an NPC is going to be an ally with hitpoints and such, then they need to be more in-line with what I'm fighting and such.
If the objective is to keep someone alive and they run in and aggro anything and everything then they can die. I'm not gonna be the one faceplanting because of retarded NPC AI mechanics.
Anyone else have similar views? -
Has anyone been able to get a successful em powerdown$$em powerup sequence that doesn't bug out at some point?
I have yet to get one thats reliable from inside command sequence strings. -
Yes its an ongoing bug since the patch... this is an edit.
-
It doesn't have to be real time. They could just grab the data from the login server each time the leave world event occurs on a given toon, then send that to a sep web database that doesn't impact the world servers.
-
Yep. Since all I ever see in /b is random recruiting spam and ae miss farming there's absolutely no reason for me to watch it.
-
Wouldn't it just be easier to make an OOC Channel like other games do.

If they reimbursed people because other players ripped them off, what would prevent anyone from coming to them with a made-up story and scoring free influence? Fine, so yours was stolen by an unscrupulous sort. Mine wasn't. But the GMs don't have any way of knowing that, do they?
[/ QUOTE ]
They do, however its still not their issue, its a player judgement issue. They can see what trades took place and when but there is really no reason for them to take action when person a gives person b funds freely. -
I do it for people all the time. If you want me to roll a toon on your server to help @inokis
Otherwise the other safest way is to make your own Personal Supergroup. I believe you can transfer that way so I've been told.

Thx for the info, those are valid reasons why people hate it.
-
I know in general people hate group fly, kind of like the random speed buff. However, as I've been getting higher in level, I'm running into mobs that never used tactics that I'm finding they use now. IE Traps and such.
With group fly I can get my Bots out of the damage circle and keep them from getting slowed and continue putting the hurt on the mobs.
Is this a tactic people would still fret over in a group (not that I do group or I'd know)? If so, why is it such a nuisance in these situations to avoid slow/damage? -
It seems the game is using the EAX slider on my Soundblaster card since the patch. Is this actually happening or are my ears deceiving me?
-
The patch hasn't been out a week already... I don't think. This is the first day I've been on my MM since the patch. I knew it was in the patch notes but I hadn't taken advantage of it nor seen how wonderful it was to not have Two bots always stuck on seemingly nothing.
I guess it has, it was Monday. -
... my dismiss protector bot macro. Thank you, thank you, thank you for fixing that infernal issue. The game has become much more enjoyable just by that fix alone.

Not everyone in Paragon City works for the PPD.

They do they just don't know it... whats the Praetorean for Nemesis Plot -
Well then they shouldn't be going rogue if they don't want to be working as a good guy.
However they could be corrupt PPD, that would be fun
PPD on the take, LOL. -

Simple explanation: Devs hate villains.
Difficult Explanation: Villains don't get the aggravation of having to travel from zone to zone for the majority of their contact's missions. They mostly stay in the same zone as said contact. Plus, with RIP (Rogue Isle Police), Longbow, and minor villain groups attacking player villains on sight, that makes each villain zone sort of like hazard zones themselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
I started playing on Villain side and only recently made a couple of Heroes. I don't like the Hero side layout. It doesn't make sense. Start in a zone, travel two zones away for a mission, go meet a contact there, do a mission there, then go back to the original zone only to go back two zones away again... Friggin PITA.
And Perez Park is anything but soloable. I find that zone simply pointless. -
Yes thats what i mean. The diff types of PPD bots as your henchmen rather than the Villain ones.
I also think it would be neat to have a Rikti Comm Officer sort of MM hybrid. -
Do you think when MMs go Rogue, they will get PPD bots instead of the same Villain side bots?

I thought I remember reading somewhere that this was just a babystep in the direction of a bigger PVP plan. Maybe I'm wrong and I misread something but I thought it was just a step in a revamp.
