  1. Why do people seem to think that the MA takes up very much room?

We've been told that towards the middle/end of beta we were looking at a whole...9 gigs of arcs. Storage really isn't an issue here.

As I recall, the current limit is more a cautionary "let's not devote too much to this yet" step. The devs were actually rather unsure of how popular the MA was going to be.
  2. Check your City of Heroes installation directory. There's a bunch of folders that have all of your different MA components. Just copy them over to the same folders in the Test installation, remaking the folders if necessary.

We need more asymmetry options, period. Being able to make any shoulder piece into a "gladiator" style single guard would be most excellent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Might also be nice to be able to combine 2 or more chest symbols together to make custome ones. Like putting a letter or number on top of star, or somesuch as that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Technically this is already possible. They added patterns that are meant to be combined with chest emblems. Though it doesn't work so well with anything but tights.

I'd simply like CoH to evolve into CoH2.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm pretty sure that's what already happened. Compare CoH launch to I14.

And I myself don't see a need for a sequel.
  5. Removing rooting would make Blasters nigh-invincible, more often than not.

This specifically has remarkably origin specific animations and names (rocket pods, nano machines, holograms, etc.).

    [/ QUOTE ]

True, but the same can be said for Archery, Assault Rifle, Devices, etc.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Funny thing, but I seem to recall in the past that you insisted that Archery was proof that CoH was turning into a "City of Warcraft". So are you now claiming that Archery is somehow tech origin-slanted, or keeping with your "modern hunters use arcane secrets" theory?

FWIW, I actually dig the powersets, but I also don't think they're feasible.
  7. This is looking more and more like we need a redname in this thread to at least explain some of this.

I decided to make a post of what players would like to see in a City Of Heroes 2 If NC Soft actually got their heads out their collective..... and decided to develop a newer version.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I stopped right here. Don't exactly see how or why, by failing to produce an entirely new version of CoX seemingly on your sole whim, Paragon Studios has their heads up their "....".

Edit: Skimmed the rest of the post to see that it was about as reasonable as the first part. 300 years? Really?

As it stands, if the vast majority of people are playing AE, then you almost have to play AE also, to be able to buy enhancements..

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ... really?

What are those funny "recipe" and "salvage" things that keep dropping on my characters, then? Not to mention the enhancements themselves?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You know, I like how folks seem to have forgotten that you can still buy run-of-the-mill, normal enhancements. No, they don't last forever like IOs, but they're always available.

  11. Explain to me how one could remove rooting from Martial Arts and not make it look patently ridiculous?

Why not just publish the TF in the MA and call it the <X> Task Force? You don't even need dev approval.

[/ QUOTE ] The OP is wanting a contest for creating game canon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I guess I just don't see the point. But then, Dev's Choice already rubs me the wrong way.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Ok, here's a thought... instead of comming up with new inspiring (yet often buggie) content. How about we address an OLD problem never resolved...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ok, here's a thought... instead of assuming that one is produced at the expense of the other, you let the Devs do what they're doing already, which includes fixing the CoP.

I think you meant to say Steel Canyon.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And a sign to begin with. It's not even labeled as such, let alone possessing an interior.

I've been trying to keep track through the "# of people that have played your missions" badges but tickets that should also correspond to others playing and rating aren't showing up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

FWIW, I haven't seen a single additional vote or playthrough from this thread.

(Edit: Though let me stress that I am still more interested in playthroughs over votes. I want that accolade!)
  17. What we need is the Paragon Times building.

Except having an R&R facility available for weary soldiers *does* make sense. It should be closer to the Vanguard controlled area, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

QFT. I do wish they had gotten more time to make more zone-personalized AE buildings, but ultimately it's not entirely out of place.
  20. CAPS LOCK = CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL

Also, no. We don't need fewer servers. Some people like the quieter ones.

I was never around for CoP so I'm sure how feasbile this suggestion is...but would someone be able to develop a mission arc with MA that is similar to CoP?

Of course you don't get an actual item of power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not very feasible. CoP could allow an entire SG to participate, making the team/co-op make-up of the trial much larger than anything MA could do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I meant more along the lines of the story. I've heard about the mechanics but never follow-up on the actual storyline.

    [/ QUOTE ]

There was little to no storyline to speak of, AFAIK.
  22. I'm not looking for ratings in particular, just plays for the Author line of badges.

    Calvin Scott TF

Someone rebuilt the Calvin Scott TF in the MA, go look it up.

But seriously, I might be for an increase in the files size, but it already takes my 100kb arc file over 10 seconds to republish when I fix a spelling error :/ I would be more afraid of arc corruption with a large file.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This. The size limit is not there for storage, it's a data transfer concern.

and in any case, resistance ignorance is more a long-range quality.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The problem with damage that ignores resistance is that it's too strong. When an enemy uses its mega-move that caps its resistance (re: generally 90-100%), any damage that ignored resistance would immediately penetrate. Imagine if this was used on the AVs/Heroes that are supposed to be invulnerable while their mega-move is active (re: Stateman!). It wouldn't work out well.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And it would break Mayhem mission citizens.
