I am still very confused concerning the expectation that the devs inform us of bugs before they've actually been found. I'm pretty sure if the devs had that capability they would've taken James Randi up on his offer and cashed in on proving psychic powers rather than making a superhero MMO.
There is no process in the world that could catch these sort of things outside of checking every single piece of anything in the game any time there's a new patch. Logging changes made doesn't cut it when (at least from an outsider's perspective) the game's programming works like the chaos theory - a butterfly in England can cause an earthquake in Brazil. -
OP, I would suggest to you that instead of ranting about bugs/undocumented changes, perhaps you should provide detailed bug reports so the devs can address your complaints, rather than rambling about irrelevant topics and calling the devs out for non-existent shadiness.
I'm still completely unclear on what the issues with the Hess TF are because instead of describing the problem in detail, you chose to make every other sentence an attack on the devs. -

I'm fully expecting twin Succubi. With whips.
Just sayin'. -

Quote:Beg your pardon? How exactly, with everyone going back to "regular" farming, is there going to be a shortage of any kind of salvage? It's not like the farmers evaporated.I loved AE for the availability of salvage that often takes multiple millions to purchase, if it's even available. Now that there's going to be a serious shortage of rare salvage again, AE is the best way for a casual player who doesn't have several hundred million Inf to throw around to acquire these. At least, it used to be. Please fix it so it still can be.
Moreover, I consider the phrases "casual player" and "rare salvage" to be quite contradictory, but maybe that's just me. -

As yet another east-coaster, I'd like some way to get costume codes as well.
-
Once again I am forced to wonder why east coasters have to be shafted time after time.
(The model itself is gorgeous. The exclusivity is ugly.) -
Then I have to ask who exactly would be teaming on this theoretical new-Vigilance Defender, seeing as how they would be completely unstoppable while solo. Keep in mind here that Empathy alone can produce SR-level defense, plus better regeneration than Regen, on top of to-hit, damage, and recharge bonuses. And this would be on a character of mine (/Psy Blast) that already does good damage and has a hard time running out of endurance.

This. The sound effect used (at least with the barfers in Pocket D, which I think was actually removed) can actually cause quite a bit of queasiness for me. It's that nasty.

Quote:This is a bug, not an intended feature. But yeah, it would be nice if they'd get around to fixing it.The same door could open into an office in one mission, then on the next mission, it could open into a cave network. How many times have you entered into a rickety wooden door on a hillside and found a modern bank map inside? Totally breaks any sense of immersion.
Quote:Suggestion 2:
Most MMORPGs have static "challenge maps" that players can progress through. In most games, these are called dungeons. Again, if a themed dungeon were added to each zone, i think it would alleviate a lot of the farming that goes on in MA and in PI. The task force in CoH somewhat serves this purpose, but again, there is no real sense of place - they usually consist of a chain of maps, most of which we've seen in regular missions (with a few exceptions). Dungeon maps are usually totally unique and unlike anything you'll see in regular missions. -
Quote:This is a pet peeve of mine. Due to the way the games are written, technically Breakout was a singular event in the timeline, I think. It obviously isn't an intuitive conclusion, since the "level = equivalent time passed" idea used to create the story breaks down due to multitudes of contradictions and metagame concepts, but even so. It's the same thing behind the idea that Superadine is always a new drug on the streets when you've a level 5 Hero, even if outside the internal storyline it's been around for years.I can dig it. I find it funny that there are daily escapes redside, but it seems pretty tame blueside. It might make sense to have the generic villain bosses encountered in safeguard missions be the escapees, to rationalize why they seem to be causing mayhem so often.
So the reason why the Zig is relatively calmed down by the time you get there is because the villains all escaped 30 levels ago. This actually provides a possible retcon explanation as to why there's all those prisoners out on the street in the first place.
*cough* >_>;
That said, yes, I would love to see either a zone event or a TF or both that involve the Zig. -
Quote:Not everyone has a friend handy who can SK them up to hunt for the badges required. Moreover, it tends to be horribly tedious even if you're at the proper level of the enemies you're fighting. Heck, even if you're level 50.Am I missing something? I can only think of 3 Level Restricted Costume Items Blue Side/2 Level Restricted Costume Items Red Side.
Both sides are restricted on Talasorian and Roman Gear.
Blueside is only level restricted for Raluu (sp?) weapons.
This is one of the reasons I'm not (personally) bothered by having to unlock the costume items per character.
Not that I'm oppossed to having the options open to all characters by just having one character unlock them.
I'm waiting for i16 to create my BS/Fire Scrapper, so I can get the Raluu Blade I've wanted for her.
My AR/MM Blaster had Nemesis Rifle at lvl 6 (would of been 1, but I ran a sewer team while I waited for a friend to log in to help me get them)
My DB/'s always get the Red Cap Daggers by at least lvl 6.
On that note, while not level restricted, it would probably be useful for the Redsiders to beable to unlock the Red Cap badge once, instead of waiting till Dec or Feb, or hoping they find someone with this missions still.
It's also still inconvenient because you have to go cash in a costume token (or pay the fee) to change your costume once you're done, instead of just having your character be correct from level 1.
(It's Rularuu, btw.) -
As long as the new overlaid armor is as bold as possible, I'm on board with this.
Of course, on the other hand, I kinda want you guys to try to find a better solution, if only for Kheldians' sakes. -
Quote:Oddly enough, VS has a power called Electrical Field, and the description of it implies a damage aura effect, but it doesn't actually have one.One thing to remember about Voltaic Sentinel is that it cannot be targeted by enemies. Anything it aggros will retaliate in your direction. Not sure if that effects your desire for how much AoE love it's spreading around.
Although if boosting Sparkey is the way to go, consider adding Lightning Field. Now that would be pretty. -
It's a difference between 0.67 and 1.17 seconds, assuming that Spec-Ops Brawl and Rifle Butt have animation times equal to their activation times.
If there's some way to speed up the animation or something, I'd love to see this added. -
It would also be a ludicrously huge design swap and balance undertaking for a game that's 5+ years old. A catch 22 in that regard, I suppose.
-
Eh, Arachnos is a pretty cool guy, fights the Statesman and doesn't afraid of anything.
-
Because Kheldians get enough power picks in their Primary/Secondary to reach all the way to 50 and then some.
-
Your character does in fact interact with an invisible enemy entity on the Power Customization screen.
-
I thought knockback was anything 1.00 or above.
And either way, since knockback powers have wildly varying numbers, this isn't really the best solution.
I do like the set name though. Hehe. -
