Quote:Unless my memory is off, double XP doesn't apply to the AE anyway. Nor would I say that people running the ITF nonstop is somehow "out in the world".unlike 2x xp weekend ,people would not be haunting AE and be out in the "world".
Quote:and rememeber no one forces you to get 2x merits, just do normal things and not get rewards, do no tfs, or takedown GMs or even play if you dont want,I am just suggesting ideas to help maybe jump start some more playing.
Edit: And to be clear here, I'm not exactly concerned with being burdened with merits. I'm concerned with the normal flow of the game and teaming being disrupted. -

Pretty sure Vanguard Medallion/Meglomaniacal works just like Power Boost.
But otherwise I agree, adding readily available Power Boost, especially to ATs/powersets that don't already get it (or get it late/in weaker form like Power Build-Up), would be troublesome. -
I was thinking just pretty the Chalet up with flowers and fallen leaves respectively. I don't think there's much in way of activity you can do with Spring or Fall, but I'm mostly concerned about ambiance anyway.
-
Still no thanks. I like the fact that during Double XP Weekends I can still get more or less whatever kind of team I want to. Double merits means an overwhelming majority of players would be doing TFs and nothing but TFs.

Quote:This is the only part I don't like, because it's unfeasible. Targeting semi-giant enemies is sketchy at best (see: the Jade Spider). If that could be overcome somehow, I'd be all for it.With that the massive 5th Column mek-man we had previewed in the AE on test a while back lands (using the same animation as the Assault bot summoning).
The rest of the event sounds awesome, though. -
Quote:And fewer recharge bonuses./Signed
You need Rest most at the low levels...and that is when you have less mitigation, less health/regen and recovery...Meh.
Totally /signed. Not only does this massively improve the low levels, but it also helps make Stamina-less builds more viable, which is always a good thing. -
Admittedly only a few people (myself included) were campaigning for it, and the rooftop was gaining popularity at the time so it never took off. It's the gazebo/small park area right next to the Quartermaster in the Port Oakes Arena District.
-
Just to correct this, because I'm nitpicky like that, the reason for the tram-only entrance is that Salamanca is something like 2-3 hours away from the greater Paragon area.

Quote:Not just a level limit, but also a story arc requirement. Which is hideously lopsided in favor of heroes. And the Midnighter's club doesn't get the traffic because there is a level limit to get in... though I would love to see an RP hotspot that did have a level limit of at least 15 or so, it would at least cut down on the low level griefer toons that some people make just to disrupt RP.
All this talk of side-specific hotspots makes me wish things like Gemini or the Rooftop (or the even more obscure Gazebo) hadn't died out. -
Quote:It's faster to resummon the Spec-Ops than it is to wait for their control powers to recharge. This is incredibly silly.2. Control effects, yes. Spec Ops control is cool when it happens at the right time, but with ZERO control over when they actually use the powers, they're far too rare for them to matter. And they end up wasting 'em, anyway, so they really don't need to be on that long a timer.
I wouldn't actually complain about damage too loudly. Mercs have a bad reputation as having too little damage to go around, but to a large extent that's poor karma on their part. They WERE very bad in terms of damage because many of the henchmen didn't use a lot of their attacks, but right now, they're not half bad. They're not the best, certainly, but they're above decent.
My only big complaint when it comes to Merc damage potential is the absurdly small 5 degree cone size on the minion Full Auto. -
Honestly, in my eyes, everything wrong with both sets is purely numerical. I don't see the need to add new mechanics. (Even if Vengeance would be very appropriate, considering my Mercs are meant to be Nemesis-esque...)
-
Definitely this. Mercs mostly need help in terms of offense, Ninjas mostly need help in terms of defense.
Both sets boggle my mind a bit. Five degree cones and 5% defense values. I really don't know what they were thinking. -
There's a surprising amount of crossover between these two kinds of people:
Those who claim Pocket D is a cesspool of cyberers and other nonsense.
Those who RP in Pocket D all the time, and are completely isolated inside their cliques.
Funnily enough, the cyberers are usually nice enough to find a private corner somewhere away from the crowd and communicate in team chat. If anything gives the D a bad reputation in my eyes, it's the cliques and the troublemakers. -
Clearly the solution is that, when possible, they need to make three new versions of the Chalet, so there's one for each season.
-
Portal-spawned Rikti stopped giving XP quite some time prior to the AE being introduced, IIRC.
-
Not a big fan of this kind of set, but it might work if instead of constant damage, each toggle gave a -Max HP debuff instead. Also means your screen won't be spammed by tons of -3s.
-
Definitely agreed on making Bres Animated Stones work properly.
Though I'm pretty sure that Malta Gun Drones do give XP. I'd still like to see them weakened a bit, though. -
The only two things I don't like are the Bazooka (I'd change it to Grenade Launcher, personally) and the somewhat random idea of giving the set(s) bonus damage to undead. Keep in mind that undead also applies to ghosts, which otherwise resist lethal; there's no real reason for you to get anti-ghost bullets/rockets/bolts.

While we're at it, I'd love to see it the other way around too - give existing villains new powers. Either way, totally and absolutely /signed.

Are you going to donate some scratch towards the TV commercial then? There's a big difference between general advertising and a full-blown TV commercial, and that difference is measured in money.
One TV ad versus a whole bevy of print/online ads.
That said, I wouldn't mind seeing some more exposure for the game, but then, as was said, Going Rogue will do that. -
Ignoring the bickering, I've never quite understood why people are so staunchly opposed to spaced out names. When done well, they look good -
"H E R O" or something of the sort. Usually it has to be one word, and rather short, obviously. And it's easy to make a bad name that way...but it's not like it's not already easy to make a bad name the "normal" way... -
And some love for the Spiked Collar please. It's hideously low-res and its clipping has been borked for an awful long time.
