It's essentially a tradeoff between paying out insane amounts of inf for specific IO sets to increase your defense or two power choices.

On my Stone/Fire tank, I'm defense capped to all forms of typed damage (plus a bit). Doing so, I've relied on a mixture of set bonuses and Weave. Additionally, look at the defense numbers for Maneuvers and then look at Weave's again.
And I still have several powers that are simply slotted with common IOs at the moment. These melee powers can take sets that will boost my recharge and accuracy, further offsetting the negative issues of Granite. -

We had started off the evening somewhat light on Fire/Rads (admittedly, the event does start a bit early for people on the West Coast), so we picked up a few people and ToT'ed, did the Halloween tip, hunted some GM, and pulled off a Banner Raid for a while.
I wanted to save the rest of the Maria Jenkins arc for a group of Fire/Rads, not just some random PUG. After a bit of shuffling and people coming and going, we had a team of primarily Fire/Rads. So it was time to put the hurt on some Praetorians. -

Yeah I've made a few alts with character backgrounds setting them in the 16-17 year old range but I just can't bring myself to "pretend" I could make any girls younger than that in this game. I realize that it's biologically possible for say a 10 or 12 year old to be as well-endowed as the lower limit of this game allows for but it just doesn't seem right somehow to be forced to assume that. Oh well.

The differences are actually fairly minute. And changing physique type doesn't really shift it much one way or another.
Now, as mentioned, certain things can be done to mask or enhance the appearance of said electronic representations of feminine mammary glands.
Such as the Witch costume and the shading of the cleavage.
As for guys being pigs for "liking" boobs...
So what? Men have been genetically and socially conditioned with an affinity for them for several thousand years (at least). Not saying it's right or fair or an attractive characteristic. I'm just saying it is. If you don't like it, well oink oink to you too.
Heck, some even like them so much they grow their own!

Okay this is a completely stupid question (well, a set of them), but I have to ask for completeness' sake.
Yesterday, you downloaded the installer/updater file right?
Did you run it yesterday and take "forever and a day" pulling down the actual game files? Or did you just grab the installer/updater and expect to play the game today?
If the former, you may have gotten a bad file during the original download. It happens.
If the latter, the installer/updater by itself is not the whole game. There's roughly 4GB of files you need to suck down through the updater before you can actually play.
One other dumb question. Are you on Windows 7/Vista?
Did you run the installer/updater as Administrator or did you just run it straight out? If you, indeed, did get the full 4GB downloaded yesterday, you may be running into an issue where User Account Control screwed the install up. -

Part of the allure for people is WANTING to know all those extra little pointless details, backstory, what's next, etc. They actively (and passively) spend time exploring what it might be in the only way possible. By imagining it. This is both an emotional and intellectual investment.
If you just GIVE it all to them, sure, they appreciate the depth you've provided. But they lose some of that attachment, because they haven't made the emotional and intellectual investment.
