The only problem I have with Logitech keyboards are their ridiculously little standoffs to incline the keyboard. There's almost no difference between a flat lay and the feet up. Maybe 5 degrees. If that.
-
Quote:Just pulled the pictures of the keyboards off the net.Where's that picture of the G110 and G510 from?
I was just looking at these and thinking I may get a G110 but the Logitech website showed that the Enter key of every G series was a double-width key with the Backslash above it which is the ONLY layout I will ever get in a keyboard. Your picture shows a double-height Enter key with Backslash to the left of it for the G110 and G510.
I think yours may be a picture of an older version. Either that or do they have multiple keyboard layouts, possibly region-based? -
If you've reinstalled, re-run your CoH Helper please.
Did you install the same version of drivers?
I've upgraded to the newest 270 drivers and have had only one or two random crash-outs since. -
Quote:I normally run Tough + Weave + Dispersion Bubble + Epic armor + Assault when soloing my FF/rad Fender. I prefer Musculature in my Alpha Slot. I still run short of end despite my build sometimes.
I was wondering if the tier 4 Barrier was good enough to perma and dump Tough and Weave.
I'd rather bet on steady (if lesser) protection than having to constantly eyeball a power whose protection decays over time.
Plus. Why dink with just ONE when you can have BOTH. -

Here's a quick visual rep of all the Logitech Gaming series keyboards/pads.

Okay just to check that the power wasn't GENERALLY bugged (for everyone), I logged into the one Hero toon I have that has EotM. It's working for him at least.
So this problem may be to alignment changers in general or to your particular guy in particular. -
Nitpick: Technically it's both. In poetry it's more narrowly defined to be just consonance. But in general use it's still correct to refer to it as alliteration or assonance.

I'd been looking for this thread.
I have the G510 keyboard and have been itching to get my 18 G keys going. -

First the Brigadier, now this...
The BBC has confirmed the passing of Elisabeth Sladen, best known for her role as Sarah Jane Smith in DOCTOR WHO and THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES. Information first appeared on Twitter, and was later confirmed by DOCTOR WHO MONTHLY magazine via their Twitter account.
DWMtweets: With great sadness, DWM must report the loss of our beloved Sarah Jane, actress Elisabeth Sladen. The best of best friends. Too, too sad.

Was figuring 4GB of RAM. As the game will still have you swapping heavily at 2GB. 2GB kits are about $100 new. Be careful buying memory used though. If they're actually selling them as matched sets, cool, fine, okay. If you're just picking up random sticks and expecting them to work in sets, stop now.
Depending on the draw of the card, something in the 300-400W range would be fine.Quote:Exactly what would I need to upgrade the power supply to in order to get a card that will properly support COH, even if on minimum settings? I'm not concerned about anything flashy right now, I figure if I dump like $150 dollars into this thing it should be in working order... I definitely wouldn't be able to get a whole new computer for that unless it 'fell off a truck.'

You've got an old-style P4 Ez-bak...processor.
It's...okay, but nothing really great. Don't know enough about the dump to know if the (2 cores) is actually two phyiscal cores of if it's registering hyperthreading.
You only have half a gig of RAM in there now? You poor son of a...
*AHEM!*
Bumping to 4GB will give you a NOTICEABLE performance bump (because the system doesn't spend 99.9999999% of its time swapping).
You're currently playing on the Intel video. You poor son of a...
*AHEM!*
One problem you're going to run into IMMEDIATELY.
From the spec PDF.
Power Supply . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Small Form Factor 160W
Small Desktop 210W
Small Mini-Tower 250W
Now these power supplies are basically just enough to run the system as is. Additional draw of anything even considered a MID-RANGE card is going to cause problems on these systems.
Also the board (done some checking) is supposed to be AGP.
AGP = Essentially a dead standard. There are still places where you can find older model cards. And some of them would be a (very) small performance step up. Most aren't even that expensive ($40-130).
You've already been told this.
Now. Will you realize a measurable bump in basic system performance?
Yes.
Will you realize a measurable bump in CoH performance?
Yes.
Do I think it's worth burning $300-400 on (depending on whether you have to buy a new power supply)?
NO. I think that upgrading a machine that old is a waste of your time and money. I can understand being budget constrained, but the difference between what you're spending to upgrade your dino-system and buying a cheapo new system is negligible. And the cheapo new system will run rings around the original. -

Excellent! Now the Mac users can see what they've been missing!
(If you're not terrified by that statement, seek help...immediately.)

Quote:Graphics cards are everything today. Everything else on a computer is sufficient today to run CoH. Good luck with your decision. Also, it's not a laptop but a mobile workstation. Understand the difference?
Mobile workstation: An outsized laptop (for an outsized lap) that isn't meant as a mobile computing platform as it sucks too much battery life, and is intended to mostly be used plugged in.
It doesn't mean "laptop built with desktop components". It's still built using the LV mobile varieties of processor, memory, video, etc and is not in the same class as a workstation built with the desktop versions of the equivalent model numbers.
The old classifications of:
Desktop: Low-end CPU and a little RAM
Workstation: More powerful CPU and more RAM
Server: High-end CPU and lots of RAM
They don't hold up much anymore. Even low-end machines are phenomenally powerful nowadays and most of the difference is in how they're used rather than a specific component list. -

It's wishful thinking. I've even hopped over the wall and landed ON A ROOF just to make sure the ground wasn't an active area. The scene still plays.

[Tanker] Bah! I can hit him!

Quote:PVP?So your opinion is that they (Non Ion) are balanced in PvP? How should a Mastermind deal with these Anti-pet powers? I'm genuinely curious as I am at a loss about how to deal with an attack that can wipeout all but my tier 3 pet with one use.
Agreed, and they need to deal with this now as every day they wait the amount of people getting used to it increases leading to more negativity when it does get fixed.
Balance?

Or should they be converted to shards immediatly?

Quote:The other part is being almost completely unable to maintain a positive targeting lock on enemy mobs. I have mobs directly in front of me and continue to get alerted that I have now LOS on them. ORLY?Sadly a large chunk of this is actually server-side with the old "Icons appearing recharged when they actually aren't". Which to my mind isn't really acceptable. If your new content is designed around 24 person content then realistically it should actually work properly and not cause too much work for the servers where you run the content.
/Targetenemynear isn't working right anymore (ESPECIALLY with the wall guns on Lambda), and while I can click directly on enemies, they seem to shed the box almost immediately. Whether this is a lag issue or something else, I don't know. But it needs to be fixed.
And no, I'm not talking about the confusion effect. Confusion basically just causes them to con as friend, but doesn't dump the targeting box. What's happening is that you're losing the targeting box, even when NOT confused.
