  2. I'm not sure I understand how Sentinel works, does it perform a screen grab and then perform OCR recognition of your power sets and slotting?

    A few additions:

    4. SG/VG logos.
    I'd like a "No emblem" option.

    7. AFK and Autoreply.
    I'd like a "busy" message in addition to afk. Nothng more annoying than getting a tell in the middle of a respec.

    11. Group Fly
    I'd like an "opt out of group fly" option in game settings. I've seen people use this to annoy group mates - nothing you can do about if you're not the team lead.
  5. We already have Mids designer available, and I saw there was another tool available to export builds directly from the game - but it makes me a bit nervous using 3rd party plugins. Especially given the hacks that have been going on in "the other game" with their scripting language.

    What would be nice is an in-game feature that allows you to export your build in a published standard format. While I wouldn't expect the dev team to create a replacement for the Mids designer (although it would be nice) - Mids could be changed to import from this new format.

    While they're at it:
    1. Facial animation ( blinking eyes, mouth animation )
    2. Face customization ( selection of eyes, nose, mouth, etc. individually )
    3. Animated hair ( yes, I want my hair to blow in the wind )
    4. Hands that actually look like hands.
    5. Ability to make costume pieces glow. Also design patterns that glow ( i.e. Tron )
    6. Ability to select hair style even when the hat option is selected.
    7. More types of beards, mustaches.
    8. More helmets. ( I'm still waiting on my Flash style helmet )

  9. Yeah... I know .... an old horse.

    My idea:

    - Add a new zone off of Striga.

    - In this zone, one of the Council/5th robots has gone rogue and is totally out of control.
    The big one. The one you see in the ITF. Yeah, that one.
    Maybe just a tad bigger.

    - The zone is filled with many GM level rogue robots that you have to kill to spawn him ( just like you do in Hami's zone ).

    - Instead of Mito's surrounding him, I'd have hundreds of exit gates open on its surface, which would spew hundreds of EB/AV level robots. Until they are killed, he goes into invulnerable mode. Every X percent of his health, this would occur. ( kind of like clockwork gears )

    - At random times during the raid, I'd have massive assaults by both the Council and 5th column. They both want to use the robot against the opposing faction, and they're not about to let some pesky heroes destroy their property.

    I'd love another raid for Magic origin heroes .... still thinking about that one....
  10. Just fyi, if you click the edges of the elevators in the 2nd phase of the Lambda trial, you can avoid having to wait. The trick is finding the sweet spot where you can click.

    Some stations, if the doors are open you can't click on them unless the doors close and then you can choose which destination to go to. So in essence, you have to wait for the next train to get where you’re going otherwise, you have to stand there with the doors wide open and can’t get in. I think some elevator doors do the same thing.

    Actually, back in beta, that was they way it was originally designed. You could click on the tram door at anytime - they never explained why they took that ability away.
  12. Good idea, I'd like several new body types, but I think the Devs have pretty much nixed the idea of spending resources on any new animations.

    Fair enough. I have no issue where there is perhaps 1 item left to go, and someone decides to wait around at the entrance vs entering to try to find the last glowie. What I do have an issue with is pre-meditated decisions to skip sections of the trial. I saw the same person do the cutscene in 2 straight Lambda trials - definitely pre-meditated and not off the cuff.

    Again, if it doesnt negatively impact the overall trial, a little cutscene frivolity is great. When it does negatively impact the trial, I get a bit aggravated.

    My apologies to the prior poster for my snarky response, I usually try to avoid dissing contests in the forums.

    Well, while we're on the sarcasm bent, how about this.

    I just LOVE hunting down the final two or three glowies with just 3 or 4 of us showing on the map, and on a short timer. Goodness, we wouldnt want to spoil the dancers enjoying their dance in the cutscene location while the four of us are actually trying to complete the TF step.

    I've noticed this happening more and more frequently on Lambda Trials - people skipping the second phase of the mission and posing at Marauders cutscene location. They may consider this to be amusing - I consider it to be leaching. We have an objective to meet, and you're not contributing.

    Suggestions:
    1. As a minimum, I'd like the person's name to appear in the cutscene. This makes it easier to locate the person in the league list and 1-star note them as "Lambda Leacher".

    2. A better solution would be to allow selection and right click of the person during the cutscene. That way as a player, I can go ahead and 1 star them before the 3rd phase begins. As trial leader, I would love to be able to /kick them during the cutscene.

    Edit:
    3. A third possibility is to just change the cutscene so no player can appear. Take away the temptation completely....

    This behavior seems to be spreading, I've seen up to 4 players doing this.

    Just fyi, you can get your fill of Cimerora and Rikti in their respective zones, since the contact there will give an unending chain of timed missions. ( I hate timed missions )

    LFG does it work

    My understanding is that anyone using the LFG option can join an active trial that is under the maximum, not the minimum.

    I've seen 16 man BAFs where the leader divided us into 3 teams and had each team locked. This is in effect a private raid, since no one can join a locked team.

  19. A couple questions concerning my plant/storm build.

    I have the following in creepers:
    2 Nucleolus, Posi Dmg Proc, Impeded Swiftness Proc, and 2 recharge IOs.

    Would you replace the impeded swiftness or one of the recharges with the Javelin proc?


    2nd question is regarding roots. I currently have a full set of enfeebled operation slotted - which has some very sweet defense bonuses. Just wondering about the pros/cons of losing that defense for some additional damage via the Posi Blast set.

  21. What exactly does this proc look like? I've yet to see it on my plant/storm. All I've seen is the fire proc from the damage side of the interface.

    3. The users can design personal apartments or houses, not only in these zones, but also adjuncting the SG base if desired.

    COH? Those *are* the NPCs, "live." The models are going through a script, everything else is frozen - as you can tell if you have people spamming junk into it, or even managing to place themselves *into* the cutscene.
    Guild Wars is partially pre-rendered. They do somehow manage to inject the team members into the cutscene. The solution for CoH is to stop using the characters running through a script and make actual videos that are present on the client side.
  24. Both solutions proposed in this thread would work for me.
    The vote system has already been implemented in GW and should be codeable in a relatively short time.
    The popup movie would probably take quite a bit more work - but would be really nice.

    Now, if they would just add voice acting to the cutscenes...
