Katana i also a good set and yes fire is sweet as well
it has two aoe's to use in flashing and lotus fire is pure damage
and is not all lethal like swords but katana also has the advantage of DA and -defense when you hit the target making them easier to hit next time
Anyways pick what sounds good and run with it -
When it comes to scrappers if my choice is to slot secondary or more damage my priory in the early levels is more damage
If it is dead it can't hurt me
That is how I approach it. I am not saying to ignore you secondary but when it is tight and I have to choose I am going offense -

Brutes have a Tanker's level of Health. So yeah, your /SR brute is more survivable than the /SR scrapper.

Brutes have ~1500 base hp.
Tankers have ~1875 base hp.
So yeah, Brutes have more, but nowhere near Tanker levels.

I am working on a different story arc so I wanted to purge some characters no longer being utilized and I see no way to right click or left click and delete

My fire/sd did well on one this weekend but we had buffs man those beuffs hurt shield a lot more than when I ran it on my dm/sr in the past he is not as while built IO wise and does quite have the damage output of my fire/shield
If you run it on test I will see if I can make it with my fire/shield just because he is fun to play
Though I also have my katana/sr with aidself softcapped he may do better for an itf -
katana/wp is also a nice steady leveler right out of the box with Divine Avalanche for extra defense
The thing I like about katana for new people it has good single target and aoe with flashing and lotus
Overall Fire is my new favorite but that is pure damage and nothing else
But any set is good but WP is nice because it is steady all the wy from go.
/sr is a great set ut is a late bloomer set

I kept all the powers the same and moved some slots around to get you more endurance and a little more defense

Maybe someone can do better but this is what I tweaked by just moving slots and changing a few IO's -
While on the Katana side you need to replace Sting of Wasp with Gamblers cut and add a -resistance Achilles proc in it
I am not a Invulnerability expert but I will look over the build and see anything glaring but right off the glance make that change on your attack.
I am also sure more people will pipe in with some good data as well
Ok looked at it further 1st if you can afford it I go with 4 kentic combat in da over you current slotting if not that you might as well 6 slot touch of death and get more from the sets bonus of + damage and health and same return in melee defense as your current set
Why 6 slot resist energy at the end pull 1 slot to health and add a miracle more return on your IO Most Impervium are pretty expensive might as well go with a miracle for a better return on endurance
Pull the extra endurance slot from tough move it to weave and use the 6th slot for another 2.5 defense in ranged or 1.25 energy defense

You want more like this and you will have no endurance quickly with that much recharge and no endurance recovery
This is a more expensive build but softcaps you in two of them and melee at 44.3 so it is darn close
If you add in Maneuvers you can gain a little more flexibility

Maneuvers and combat jumping and IO sets
Here is one I am running with aidself and no true travel power because I can you can fit one in I just chose not to. I can here is my build though you can move things around like dropping tatics putting the sots in buildup and choosing different IO's I would get Mids it is really the best way to go with IO's and to see the options

You can soft cap with out tough or weave without DA I done it on mine

For the last year and a half I have mainly played spine/wp in Sirens and she is an alt I feel most comfortable playing now.
However, over the last few months I feel I am now being forced to 'hang up spines' due the the increasing amount of nerfs and the changes to damage that Spines has when in PVP. I find it ironic that if I want to deal any real damage, I have to use a tier 1 pool power from Speed or Kick from Fighting pool. I will not do this out of principle.
I would like to ask Castle how he can justify they low amount of damage thats Spine does now and considering 'Doms' even with their tier 1 powers can out damage a Spines tier 8?
I'm not asking for a massive increase to Spines, but just to have the PVE damage in PVP would be good enough for many spine users and many of those who have been forced into using FOTM alts, just do some damage.
Castle, it is really sad when you're forcing spine users into temps and power pools to do some decent damage. Care to explain why please?

That is what you get when you shoehorn in PVP four issues after release have dad mechanics for pvp because you never designed it ground up for it.
Then you try to fix it with nerfs and ignore all feedback in beta testing because you think this will get casual players to play
Yet you make it worse when a pool power attack is better than you entire primary yep that helps out casual players.

PVE both work and work great; pvp I have no clue
Siphon Life gives you extra heal basically as well as great damage so bonuses.
katana is lethal but also has as you said defense and it is more flexible in also having solid aoe damage output with lotus and flashing when in large groups

Fully slotted it's worth about ~40% heal; unslotted it's just a tiny bit under 20%. It has a base recharge of 20 seconds and it's interruptable in the first second of activation. It costs 13 end and takes 4.3 seconds to animate.
A secondary effect is a mez resistance (shortens mez duration) of 75% that lasts for 45 seconds.
As a tier 3 power in the Medicine pool you must have already taken either Aid Other or Stimulant and you must be level 14 or higher to take this power.

Slotting recommendations:
SO slotting - 3 heal/1 recharge (1 interrupt reduction if on a melee toon)
IO slotting - Frankenslot Heal/Recharge from various heal sets, interrupt reduction as needed.

1 interrupt the heck with franking slotting you can get plenty of heal and recharge from dr wounds or harmonized healing both sets are cheap and have good set bonuses -
DM/SR will be the better build late it is easy to soft cap I have one with tough weave and just a few IO's and he is softcapped
They can solo AV's easier and can do a lot more things you will need more + recharge in the dm/sr build but hey you get +20% from quickness -

That's a good idea. I still want to run on test as well. It allows people team with people they normaly wouldn't be able to. But the idea of an all scrapper TF on all servers sounds good. We should figure out a way to do both. An all server one and one on test. Someone from the other servers would have to set up the time and dates. As for virtue, my time is saturdays and sundays 6pm central time zone. It seems like people were leaning towards sunday.
