  1. Huh, thats kinda wierd, as Ive rebuilt the base since the changes, and Ive got a bunch of storage things in there, which means I should have rent to pay, but it was 63 days since anyone in the SG had been on, and rent still seemed to have been paid...
  2. I just recently checked on a SG I've been kind of neglecting, and discovered the base had no power. Rent's been paid, and I have a Basic Generator (1K power) with 2 Circuit Breakers attached. Also I have a Supercomputer in my Control Room, but as you can see in the image, neither Power or Control is showing as generated- I cant use any of the Teleporters or the Personal Storage Vault. I've tried deleting and re-purchasing both power and control items, any other suggestions?

  3. Just wanted to post positive feedback on our trade, everything went well.
  4. Okay, looks like I have the following:

    48 - Inspired
    71 - Synaptic Speed
    161 - Pendulum
    274 - Resuscitate
    278 - Atomic Blast
    308 - Oil Slick Arrow

They're all pretty much unplayed. Do you actually play, or just collect?
If you actually play, Ive got a Battle Box thats about 75% full that I havent touched in years.

Anyways, PM me with your info and we'll see about working out some sort of trade.
  5. Was "Arena" the base set, or an expansion? I have a bunch of the base set, but no expansion stuff. I'll check through it tomorrow.
  6. Unfortunately, even a single zone of the appropriate scale would be extravagantly expensive, but some of them would make AWESOME terrain for 40K/Heroclix/D&D games.
  7. Blueside, I'd say just jump on a sewer or AE team, AT irrelevant.
If you're a 60+ Vet, you can grab SJ or SS (or roll a Kheldian for the inherent travel power) and tour most of the zones for a total of like 71 merits, IIRC. Pretty sure the touring time would be less than re-rolling and lving to 10 six times. When they added the exploration accolades I considered that plan, but I was never quite bored enough to put it in action.
  8. Victory at last!

You know, if the new "improved" market GUI is the price that had to be paid to get merged markets, I think I can live with that.

    Market Merge FAQ

Wow, just wow. Thanks to whoever did the work to put this through at last!

  11. Actually, once I started using MA, I realized what might be another reason the Devs chose to make somany enemies seemingly oversized- the player's perspecive is usually from behind and above thier character- if your critters are "average height", this perspective makes them look undersized.
  12. Ah, well that's something at least... one minor irritation down. only about 2 dozen left.

Just under your hat? so, like a Michael Bolton sorta thing- bald on top, long flowing locks on the sides?

On topic, hats being a separate costume piece from hair is one of the very few things I liked about Champions Online's Character Creator. It's something I've always wanted to have here.
  14. Would be nice if we coudl get ANY redname feedback as to what their plans are on this. Personally, I really hate the new setup and would like to see it returned to it's previous incarnation. However, if they plan on going forward with the new version, It's be nice to see some recognition of areas that are in desperate need of refinement.

The new market is really killing my desire to play, currently.
  15. Right here:

It's not much to look at now, but I'm busily aquiring prestige for an upgrade.
  16. 82 on my main here.
I remember when it used to cost a (seemingly) staggering amount for costume changes- nowadays I usually sell a dozen or so crafted common IOs for that much every day, so I just blow the inf- the permanent 50% from my vet rewards helps quite a bit as well.

    peterpeter:
    1) I went to the grocery store and bought a sandwich.
    2) Then I remembered I forgot to get eggs and milk.
    3) I went to the grocery store and bought eggs and milk.

    Your response:
I quote peterpeter: "1) I went to the grocery store and bought a sandwich."
I call BS. I saw you at the grocery store. You bought eggs and milk.
This post pwns, Smurph- I was gonna chime in, but if this doesnt get through, I doubt anything will.

Maybe the new interface is the 'Fix' for the market imbalance- make it so WW is just as unpopular as the Black Market...
  18. Am also not a fan of the new interface. So far the only positive to it is that it no longer crashes CoH by trying to load EVERYTHING upon launch. But that plus comes with a whole bunch of negatives.

It's nice that Recipies/Enhancements are sorted alphabetically, except for the 'Other' category being stuck in the middle of the list- back to the top, please.

The fact that selecting a category in the left hand tree doesnt narrow down search results- I can't search for Acc/End within a specific category anymore, now I have to sort through ALL the Acc/Ends in existance.

Really hate the vertical slots, they take up far too much space to not display enough info.

    it's UGLY!

It requires more input to achieve the same results as the old interface.

When placing bids, there's no obvious feedback that your bid has been placed.

I'm actually one of the few people who like the persistant amounts in the bid field, but I can definitely see that being something that needs to be optional.

I'm trying to to react just out of "It's new, therefore it sucks", but my overall impression is disappointment, frustration, and confusion. If the option to go back to the old interface was there, I'd definitely stick with it, even with the threat of it occasionally crashing CoH.

Also, on a similar note, the feature to warn us if were selling Salvage that can be used in a recipe we own was a ncie idea, but apparently they didnt fix it to not count memorized recipies, so thats a new feature that lasted all of 30 seconds on my Characters.
  19. Well, looks like we didnt have to wait on Gr to crash the BM- too bad we broke WW as well...

Hmm... is it just me or does anyone else not hear a "Plan" in that sentence?

That might be easier to work in. But again, I'm forced to ask: which powers are you seeing that need this freeform enhancement system, because they can't benefit from "traditional" frankenslotting?
Well, I can think of a few areas where we need more options. My initial plan with DP was to 3-slot Acc/Rch and then jam in 3 procs, since the base damg on many attacks was fairly unimpressive. Color me surprised when there are NO Acc/Rch IOs for Ranged Damage or Targeted AOE, which are most of DP's attacks. In fact, the only Acc/Rech I could find were in Accurate Defense Debuffs. That's cool for the attacks which take Defense Debuff, but that leaves Dual Wield high and dry.

So I could definitely see the merits of freeform Multi-Aspect Enahancements.
  22. I wouldnt support a unilateral forcing of rolls, because we need the ability to save up for those spoecific big ticket items. I would however, support a split system, on any TF that gives more merits than a random roll costs, havi it auto-roll once, and give the remainder in merits. That gives a random roll feeding the market pool, AND the ability to save up, even though it takes a bit longer.
And I can't stress enough how much we need to be able to determine the actual level of our random rolls- or, as someone else suggested, a way to craft any recipie at the level we desire.
  23. The slot 'savings' isnt quite as apparent when dealing with lvl 50s as it is while leveling. At lvl 27, when you're still a bit thin on slots, you can benefit greatly from slotting 4x lvl 30 Acc/Dmg/End, which give you about 17.5% to each, ending up with 70% of each- more than 2 SOs, for 4 slots, instead of the 6 it would take to get those 2 SOs each. Now you can put those last 2 slots into another power until you get to the mid to late 30s, when you start to get an abundance of slots.
Now if you really feel the need, you can come along and drop in 2x Dmg/Rech (or whatever you feel light on) in those last 2 slots, getting another +21.8% (lvl 30 numbers) to each apiece, or 43.6% total, putting you way the heck and gone past ED on DMG, and +1.5 SOs on End, netting you +113% DMG (before ED), 70% ACC and END, and 43% RECH -the equivalent of 9 SOs for your six slots. And that's just with lvl 30-35 Numbers (I find that lvl range to be the most cost effective)- once you get to lvl 50s, you gain even more flexibility- an Acc/Dmg/End at that lvl gives 21.2% to each, meaning you'd only have to use 3 slots to get 6 SOs worth.
When you go back to put in those 'extra' Dual Aspects, look for ones that match your current triples, there are several sets that give bonus Regen, Recovery, or even Acc for as little as 2 pieces of a set.

Almost all of my single-target Melee attacks get 5 slots of Crushing Impact, (skipping the DMG/RCH piece, as the set is already heavy DMG, and the set bonus makes up for some RCH) ending up with 115% DMG (before ED- if you actually slot the full set, its a ridiculous 141% before ED), 68% ACC and END, and 42% Rech (About 8.5 SOs in 5 slots) just from the enhancements alone (lvl 35 numbers), plus the following set bonuses:

    -2.2% Immobilize Duration (on you)
    +1.13 Max Health
    +7% Global Acc
    +5% Global Rech

Most of my Controllers' Holds/Slows/Immobs get slotted with 4x (whatever)/Acc/Rech, and then if I have extra slots later on, I drop some Procs in them, since proc' ing for 70 is like a super-uber critical, what with normal controller damage around 20 or so.

Edit: AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO REPLACE THEM!!!

    In Game Ad?

Yeah, that one caught me as well, back when the in-game ads were actually running. It sure as heck looks like a BK burger to me.
  25. I don't usually play on Freedom- it's been a long, long time, but one of my characters joined the Super Team that would eventually become Buffer Overrrun. Recently some new friends have started playing on Freedom, and that's got me to dust off my old Fire/Rad, who only made it to 26.
I'm a bit of a craftaholic, so I stared buying up recipies and putting stuff on the market, but quickly outcrafted my ability to unload stuff, so I decided to try using the base storage to stash some IOs.
The base didn't have much in the way of storage, so seeing as I had Base Edit Permission, I dropped some Enhancement Tables and a salvage rack in a very empty workshop that was already present.
However, when I went to use the storage, I discovered that the new permission scheme had me locked out of them. Curiously, I was able to edit them so that anyone with LOWER rank than I could access them, and the 2 ranks above my character's level had access, but I could not give my own rank permission to use them.
It looks like a lot of the people in the group havent been around for a while, but the roster does show a Flower Hood was on earlier today. Whoever you are, Flower Hood, if you could edit the permissions on the storage units so that the 'Commander' rank can access them, I'd be duly appreciatve. If you want to talk with me, my global is @Heartbreaker, my SG Character is Rad Dragon.
