Instead of 'verify file', you might try a defrag, especially right after a patch/update.

I have found that if I do a defrag right after a patch/update (before even going into the game) it seems to do the trick. I use Defraggler..it's free and lightning fast.

I found that Malwarebytes free can pick up nasty stuff that your anti-virus can't. Download and let it do a full scan. (Takes a long time but worth it.) If it finds bad things, they can be deleted.

Just for GPs, download Malwarebytes FREE and let it do a full scan. I did that and it found 5 nasties that my anti-virus program missed. My puter runs a lost better now, and stopped the CoH freezes.

Rantmo, you can run HijackThis again, place a checkmark on those 2 items and delete them.

Rantmo, you have a LOT of things that auto-startand run in the background. That wastes resources. Why have Adobe, googletalk, Quicktime etc. running all the time? You can always click on them as you need them.

Also, toolbars/searchbars can be bad news. If you don't really need them, disable them.

Try this too:
1. Go to your CoH folder, find the coh.checksum file and delete it. Close Explorer.

2. Go to desktop and click on your CoH icon. Let the files rebuild themselves. Close shortcut when it's done.

3. Defrag.

4. Click on the CoH shortcut again, and verify files. When it finishes, start your game.

This solution has worked for me. Recently I was experiencing freezes as soon as I reached the login. I reinstalled the latest video driver (did a clean install, thinking the driver might have been corrupted) and then did the actions I suggested above. My game runs fine now. Good luck, and hang in there...hope this works.

There seemed to be a downtime for the forums yesterday. Don't know if it was a prob, or perhaps some maintainance was being performed, but a ton of people said it couldn't be accessed at all in the afternoon.

Mr. Calor you have a couple of things running in the background that really don't need to be there. (You can always click on the programs when you need them but they don't need to be using resources when you are not.) Realplayer, Driver Scanner.
You can create another HiJack report and delete these:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {e9911ec6-1bcc-40b0-9993-e0eea7f6953f} - (no file)

You also might want to uninstall any toolbars you really don't need. They have a way of messing up things sometimes.

You also might have a CoH file that is corrupt. Go to your CoH folder and delete the
Coh.checksum (This can take a long time, especially the pigg files..just let it run.)
Then click on your desktop shortcut and let the checksum rebuild itself...when it's done, don't start the game..close the shortcut.
Do a defrag, get rid of all your temporary files then click you desktop shorcut for CoH again. Verify files, then start and see if that did the trick.

Ok, I know what /reloadgfx does, but what about /unloadgfx? Are they the same?
Also, I read here that sometimes it can help gameplay if you type /neterrorcorrection 1 or type /neterrorcorrection 2....what do they do, and how do you know which one to use?

I gave myself flexibilty for my screen captures. I use the PrtScr for capturing shots with no UI. I also downloaded the last free FastStone Capture program (5.3)..it sits in my Quickstart taskbar and is not running till I click it. (I run the game in windowed mode, so I can access stuff while I play.) FastStone Capture is awesome. You can set it to catch the entire window or a freehand rectangle. Very easy and straightforward...name your pic, then send it to whatever folder you want. I use it for more than CoH, but it's great for getting pics of the tailor, the splash screens etc.
After 5.3, they started charging for the program. This version does everything I need and is free.
