P.E.R.C. Presents Mirror, Mirror!
Saturday, April 24th, 2010 & Sunday, April 25th, 2010 @ in Pocket D.
“Arrived a Dark Mirror has. A vitreous plane upon which to display a fleeting show for man's disillusion given."
P.E.R.C. invites everyone to celebrate the release of Issue 17: Dark Mirror by joining us in taking a glance into the Dark Mirror and seeing what reflection awaits. P.E.R.C. will be hosting a Character Concept Contest where everyone will have the opportunity to show us what your character would look, feel, and act like if it had stepped into the Dark Mirror and arrived in an alternate reality.
Below are the times P.E.R.C. representatives will arrive to judge the entries. Please make note that these are the times that judges will begin judging the event. We advise all contestants to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure they are judged in the event. Late entrants will not be judged.
Saturday, April, 24th, 2010:
Infinity: 7:00pm EST
Victory: 7:45pm EST
Freedom: 8:30pm EST
Champion: 9:15pm EST
Virtue: 10:00pm EST
Justice: 10:45pm EST
Sunday, April 25th, 2010:
Pinnacle: 7:00pm EST
Liberty: 7:45pm EST
Triumph: 8:30pm EST
Protector: 9:15pm EST
Guardian: 10:00pm EST
-One Entry Per Server.
-Heroes & Villains Welcome.
-No late entries accepted.
-As this is a subjective contest, no member of P.E.R.C. will be permitted to compete.
-A panel of P.E.R.C. Representatives from other servers will be compiled to judge this event. Players are urged to utilize costume choices, weapons customizations, emotes, and auras in building their concept for display.
-Judges will be voting on how best the character is representing themselves in an alternate reality. This includes name, costume, concept, details, etc.
-Players should arrive in their Paragon Universe attire and not reveal their alternate reality form until instructed to by the Event Master of Ceremonies.
-Customized Weapons are allowed. This includes shields, blades, guns, etc. Players are asked to only draw weapons however and not utilize power animations.
-Powers Usage is limited: We understand that i16 has brought with it a variety of power customization opportunities however we have found that powers can effect other players unintentionally and can also diffuse attention away from other character components. We would prefer players limit their use of powers and utilize them for Aura purposes. Examples of powers allowed include but are not limited to Fire Shield, Rock Armor, Personal Force Field, and Invincibility.
-Be very careful in your power choices and avoid overusing multiple powers.
-Powers that effect other players will result in automatic disqualification from the event. Examples include but are not limited to Steamy Mist, Lightning Field, Hotfeet, and Shadowfall.
-Please contact a P.E.R.C. Representative if you have any questions about a specific power.
1st Place: Praetorian Clockwork Costume Code & 60 Million Influence / Infamy
2nd Place: Performance Shifter Chance for + End & 40 Million Influence / Infamy
3rd Place: Choice of Karma or Steadfast -KB IO & 20 Million Influence / Infamy
*Note: Depending on the release schedule for I17 delivery of prizes may be delayed on some servers. This is because P.E.R.C. will be utilizing the the new e-mail system to send influence, infamy, enhancement, and IO prizes to the winners across multiple servers via globals. We hope that winners will not experience any delays but appreciate your patience with this possible issue.
THANK YOU AS ALWAYS FOR SUPPORTING P.E.R.C.!
*Costume Codes provided by Paragon Studios. Influence, Infamy, and other prizes provided by PERC Representatives. -
Hawk needs the 35+ ones!
Let me know when

Quote:Tiger Direct is where I got mine, about $170, on sale....One thing I will say is they're *not* impressing me ATM. Yeah, historical COH issues aside (compatible cursors, enhancement jumps, etc.) the grey stripes of death are hitting me in other games often enough to be *really* irritating.
Yes, using current drivers, yes, uninstalled the old ones, etc.
I'm rather at the point of hunting *someplace* down that has a Geforce 260.
As for those ATI drivers, what the heck? You need to download 3 different things for 1 driver? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
-Hawk -
Whats the length on that 5770 card?
If its longer then 10 inches, no go.
I just don't want to deal with drivers for which card on ATI.
Nvidia, just go, select the card, boom done.
Hawk -
I thank everyone for the suggestions.
After looking over things, I've come up with two things:
A new case. The current case doesn't fit things nicely and is a little snug.
As for the whole SATA problem: The SATA Card Bill came up.
After putting the card somewhat into place, the bottom PCI slot has room.
The 5770 card would be nice, but I can't handle the ATI driver issue.
Again, thanks to everyone for their thoughts/ideas/suggestions!

Quote:Thats the crappy one I got!This one?
Ummm... I don't know what to tell ya, Hawk. How many of the SATA ports are you using? Maybe M_B's idea of right-angle SATA connectors is the right answer.
Of the 4 that are on there, I'm using 3! (DVD, and 2 HD's (1 windows, 1 storage)
If I put the card in, it literally smashes the ports, nothing can fit under there.
I don't know about the right/left hook thingy.
So I take it the higher end cards are all long and damn big?

ACER MCP73PV (SOCKET775 M/B)
512MB GeForce 8600 GT (EVGA) -
With i17 around the corner, I went out and bought a bran new card, the GTX 260.
But before that, I got a new 650w PS, cool!
The bad news is that when I went and installed the new card, it doesn't fit.
As such, the new is card is so damn long, it covers up the 4 SATA ports at the end of the PCI-E slot.
The current card I have is the 8600GT, which a nice little square card and fits nicely.
I don't want to waste this new PS, so heres my question:
Is there any graphic cards out there are SQUARE and not long that will run Ultra mode??
Are there some new, I hate to say this since I love Nvidia, ATI cards are a box shape?
Bummer to, the GTX 260 was a good deal too, around 150 bucks.
Thanks as always to the fellow tech geeks!

I liked the one you guys did a few years ago with the typing bit.
Even Google has failed at it this year.

P.E.R.C. would like to thank everybody who participated in the Community Event Survey. We have an overwhelming amount of data to process as a result of the huge participation we received from all you heroes! We had over 160 people participate in the survey across all servers and cannot thank you guys enough for the feedback you shared. The information we receive is both cross-server and server specific meaning that each of our specific community representatives will now have data so that we can better create unique events that tailor to their specific servers! This will allow us to provide you with the most amazing year yet in terms of events.
We want to congratulate @Shaw Lwhon of Virtue for being the randomly selected winner of the 30-Day time card donated by Champion PERC Representative (and survey designer) Dazz Marvelous! @Shaw Lwhon will be contacted by Dazz with information on how to receive your prize!

Quote:Hey! This is PvP not PvE.i might be interested, will need a couple hours to read all the b.s. for the rules.... i thought it was just a 3 man team FFA, but as with everything with PERC and PVPEC you ask them what time it is and they tell you how to buiuld a wristwatch.
Lets keep PERC out of this, thanks!

Any tips that are good for doing this?
After doing this, I'm hoping to get the new GFX card by Nvid. The current 8600 GT I have is kinda old...
I've fried one board when I put in a new power supply before, so I don't want to do that again.
Thanks!
