    Don't know where you live, but I live in Finland, which is two hours ahead of London. So I wake up two hours earlier than Brits even if I wake up at the same 'time'..

    Lately RL stress has given me insomnia which is making my head a mess though Sorry for possible typos.

    So, defiance is not useless. It's just VERY situationnal.
    As for kheldians' inherent: it's usefull... depending on your build. Tri-shape builds will rarely use it, Pure human builds will heavily rely on it.

    Yes, defiance is not useless but using it is very situational. This has been discussed before, theres been awful many "change defiance" threads here in EU boards.

    Personally I'm not complaining, I like it the way it is.

    One of my thoughts was to introduce a cascading mez resist that would increase as your hp went down, ensuring that you had a chance to use your defiance-boosted attacks before you died. Unfortunately that would be totally broken in pvp against some characters that already have it hard.

    Or just make it trigger earlier.

    Not by damage buffs but I think toHit buffs and -def affect it. (or axe). And my rad/sonic gets around the acc and damage by -res and -def.

    I think you can lose end too despite being interrupted, but its m00t, as often by the time you can use it again end recovery takes away some of of it away if you have stamina.

    [/ QUOTE ]If you're interrupted, you can use the power again immidiately. So if you're under fire, spamming an interruptable power can drain your whole END bar in a second. Endurance slotting in aid self is thus very useful.

    Never noticed this happen to me and I use it in pvp quite a lot. Maybe I should check it thou.

    edit nevermind youre right. Makes it even less useful for my tank.

    simple, /sr has built in kb and immob protection, secondly quickness replaces the need for hasten and pvp wise and PVE vert movement as well as hori- movement is important.
    SJs nice but sometimes pve or pvp things fly up out of reach, sometimes you can get them, other times you just bringing yourself into reach to be hit hard.

    That doesnt mean you wont recharge even faster with both quickness AND hasten. Besides I wouldnt go replacing hasten with quickness myself.

    Getting acro would be silly, though.

    Err.. huh? A ranged blast from tank ancillary pool will gauntlet just as well as their melee attacks..

  11. Well we have supercomputer in goonies base and I just attached a basic terminal to it.. Actually terminal doesnt say anything where it can be attached. Neither does bookshelf. Where did you read that?

    Advanced terminal cannot be added to anything smaller than supercomputer though. And so on.

    I have no experience about arcane items but as far as I know they have identical stats to tech corresponding versions (to keep it balanced). Same should apply to your arcane upgrades too or they might be even bugged, who knows.

    ps. you should instead check magical axis and orbits of control themselves. There should be a list of allowed auxiliary items in their info tab.
  12. I would switch swift to hurdle, and consider taking cold mastery for snow storm.. Kind of interesting to see how a /fire blaster would do in pvp.. General consensus is that not very well.

    2 acc 3 damage is the bog-standard method I recommend for everyone. Last slot can be used for whichever purpose you need. Recharge, endredux being most common.

    1 SO will give you around 80% on a normal mission. Up to you if you NEED that extra; but you're only going to be adding 5-10% for each extra SO.

    80% accuracy essentially means that you will miss one out of every 5 of your attacks in the long run.

    95% accuracy essentially means you will miss one out of every 20 of your attacks.

    Far too simplistic from me again, but its up to you whether you want to invest to that extra 5-10% of acc.

    Essentially all power requiring toHit check on any of my alts have 2 accs in them. Possible exception are tier 1 and 2 MM henchmen who have 3.

    Not really. Stalker can force a draw by being perma-hidden and thats about it.

    If you look at MMO PVP. Thats why I was very prejudiced toward PVP in any MMORPG. I was a fighting game player for 10 years before i came to COH. Where you picked characters from a small list and played against the other human player. Most of those games are inbalanced too, but can still be fun to play (Street fighters for instance). COX still has best online PVP I have found so far, naturally there are persisting problems. It would be silly to claim a perfect game would exist somewhere.

    Just a fact. For everything to be in balance would require characters to be carbon-copies of each other.

    (An RPG game with evolving stats will always create imbalance in pvp. Hammerfall's law.)

    Bottom line: we can still enjoy the game even if it is imbalanced.

    I most often do this. Except maybe when there are lots of mobs and I want them to tank, or theres a bug in the pathfinding I use goto aggressive.

    Goto aggressive next to an enemy can also be used when you want henchies engage in melee, cause otherwise they might resort to ranged attacks.

    I just push follow-defensive button quickly if the henchies are going after a runner, and order a new target.
  22. Hmm I can't make the arcane versions but the tech versions of the same items have identical stats to those you want.. they are:

    Adv. database, 1061k prest, -1000 energy, +500 control

    Advanced corner terminal, 322k prest, -150 energy, +120 control

    Advanced terminal, 300k prest, -100 energy, +100 control.

    I jsut don't know which corresponds to which of the arcane items you want

    I hope you can help... otherwise, I'll just end up upgrading to OoC, and then suddenly finding out that I can't afford to buy enough attachments to reach the old control-level, leaving the base semi-useless for a while.

    Astral haruspex, 804K prest, -100 energy, +200 control

    Ill try check the rest.. Note that you can use the 'smaller' upgrades on orbits of control as well. The ones you want info about just cannot be added to any smaller central control item.

    I dont have and have never had end problems with invulnerability. Good sides for pvp are that you dont need more than 2 toggles; temp invuln and unyielding. Invincibility doesnt have that much to offer for pvp. Also, you will get very high resistance to S/L damage but not so high resistance against other types of damage.
    Bad sides are that you need to get stamina and aid self (unlike regen which doesnt need either and /dark which just needs stamina).

    I agree. Actually I'm kinda surprised at the nearly complete lack of invul scrappers in pvp circles. They have one overlooked thing on their side, unyielding laughs at the repel in force bubble, hurricane or telekinesis. An invul scrapper with empath or more defender backup would be quite nice, imo.

    Just dont roll a DA scrapper if you want to pvp.
