Whenever I want a team I just use /search and send some tells. Works on redside every time.

The reason the patch is so big is because some moron in version control keeps changing a bunch of text strings to all lowercase and then fixing them--sometimes in alternating patches--and all the data files have to be regenerated and piped down to the client.

Quote:The Toxicand is an Arachnos Soldier. Bob the Biohazard is the petless Mastermind.I contemplated ditching that dork @xeaon to join your MoTPN tonight because I wanted to see your toxic jerk in action.
And no, before any derpfaces ask, I didn't take the petless build into the trials.
Quote:You are aware there's a thread in the badge section specifically for this kind of thing, right?
That can't be done solo.
The crap is wrong with you? You know how few hit points Masterminds have?
See above. Sappers deal too much damage to Masterminds. -
Well, it's been two years (April of 2010 is when I started), and a whole lotta grinding, failures and trying to get teams together, but I finally have every badge! At least, every badge I can have. Some badges were before my character's time (Celebrant, etc.) and some badges simply aren't available (Passport, etc.). But every badge that could be earned, doggonnit, I earned it.
AFK Farming
Some of the Achievement badges require very high numbers for overall statistics and I would run my computer overnight for days trying to earn them. As a Poison Mastermind, I was able to get most of them without teaming even. For heals, I put a pet on passive and used Alkaloid on him while an enemy tried to kill him. For damage, I found something to hit me while I was using Rest. For mez, I wound up using a mid-level arc in Ouroboros with a player debuff and some Chief Cryo Scientists, who only use holds. It took a few weeks straight, but I got 'em all.
Master of No Deaths
The original Master badges had simple rules that weren't so simple to execute: complete the level 50 Task Forces set to no Temporary powers, 0 deaths allowed, and succeed without dying. Lady Grey and Statesman took multiple tries, but Lord Recluse, Imperious, Dr. Kahn, Barracuda and... and... I guess that's all. Got those on my first try. The LRSF team was hax: we charged in and fought them all the real way, with no permadom to put them all to sleep. That was pretty epic.
Year Jobs
I count 33 Day Job badges, at 3 weeks each means 693 days (almost 2 years) of not even playing the character. And whenever I got close, they added more. Twice!
The Good
Some badges were lots of fun. I'd put in a little work, and get a lot of results for it. The Ouroboros, crafting and Architect badges counted for this, and it was a lot of fun. Running around fighting a bunch of a particular enemy group was dull at times, but if I had to do it all again I definitely would. Checking off Task Force badges from the list was ever so satisfying as well, and nailing tricky badges was icing on the cake.
The Bad
Some badges are just dumb. Midnight Dodger. Master of Lambda Sector. Dreamwalker. And some badges are just tedious. Disruptor. Power Seller. Leader. While none of them are so bad that I'd say "I will never ever run those again," I certainly won't complain should that wind up being the case.
The End
So that's where I am. I still have some Paragon Rewards badges coming down the pipe, but those are already paid in advance and will come in with my monthly tokens. My grand total at the time of this posting is 1,341 badges, and about 50 minutes ago, my quest for chasing after shiny objects found its conclusion.

You got that backwards. Hero One is the dad; Hero 1 went through the portal.

Yeah, Carrion Creepers is like Haunt. Worse, even. Needs a buff.

You'll see when the time comes. When's the last time we got Incarnate slots, Issue 20? So it goes to follow that you'll only need to wait until Issue 26. But remember, there will probably be I23.5, I24.5 and I25.5 as well.

Unlike the Statesman and Sister Psyche, Lord Recluse is an important character. -
Seriously, every word out of the mouth of Lord Recluse is immediately quote-worthy. When I first saw the guy, I figured he'd be one of those "The world will fall before my evilness. Die, fool!" sorts, but the guy's full of class and assertive confidence! Silly blueside-only dweebs would listen to his propaganda in Grandville and assume he's Darkety McDarkdark, but that's their loss, I suppose.
So hey, here's to Lord Recluse! *Raises eight glasses* -

The legacy pools have tintable FX already, and have since Issue 21. They just need to do the UI code, but they're spending the time making more dogs and brand new typos instead.

Let's analyze the Incarnate Trials for a second:
BAF: Tank-n-spank where you have to defeat them at the same time
Lambda: Tank-n-spank where you need an occasional grenade
Keyes: Tank-n-spank with green stuff
Underground: Tank-n-spank where you need to stand behind him
TPN: Tank-n-spank where you need to sometimes break line of sight
MoM: Honestly, I still haven't run this
DD: Tank-n-spank with floaty green things
Take the gimmicks out of all of those and what are you left with? -
I was just in two Master of Dilemma Diabolique runs, once on Pinnacle then again on Virtue, and the Gate Crasher/Spinebreaker badge was not awarded either time. Both times, all four Repulsive Spines went down within 5 seconds of each other, let alone the one-minute allotment for the badge.
-
Maybe what we need instead is a pool power that sets the target on fire so he flails around and incinerates all his friends. That's kinda like a pet, right?

As we know, bullets are not biodegradable.

If damage procs won't work, no other procs will work. They all filter down the same way. Interface has an additional restriction in that the power must accept Damage Enhancements for it to trickle in.
-
PPM Enhancements seem to be working correctly except for cones. In Heavy Burst, for instance, when I tested it, 4PPM had a lower proc rate than 5PPM (expected) and 3PPM (not expected).

Quote:I'd tell you to leave the BSing to marketing, but then I remember you ARE marketing. (-:There needs to be separation between the releases of new toys so that people who are excited by them all, which is much of our Community, have time to play with each.
I agree that Staff Fighting shouldn't go on the same day that Beast Mastery is on sale, as a point of business. But the notion that doing so would overload the poor pea-brained minds of the players to the point that they can't make time for them both? That's a load of crap.
