So what you say is that we are stuck with double xp always and everywhere? That the only way to avoid that is to turn our earn xp semi permanently off?
-
No matter where i log of i am always on patrol. When i log out in places where there are two dayjobzones overlapping (for example pilot and pvper in sirens call on def) I only get one of them if i am lucky. On Zukunft I noticed that the black market dayjob on sharkhead is 20 yds away from the black market. Strangely some of my toons who should have a dayjob badge didn't get them even though they were 21 days inactive.
I am annoyed with all these bugs in this new feature. Especially since the double xp makes such a mostly unwanted difference. -

Sewers work best in groups. Villians prefer to solo.
So imo it is not needed or for me even wanted. Just go hunt the streets if you like. Plenty of walking xp around there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I find that on villains I'm forced to solo. Would much rather team but its difficult to get a team and keep it together. Don't see why, surely outnumbering your opponents is more evil?
[/ QUOTE ]
I find it the opposite actually. In villains once you have a team gathered you're good for several missions. On heroes I have to replace 1-4 people every mission ...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, the lack of villains is something you definitely notice when you try to get a team. But indeed when you have a team it does tend to stick together better. Part of the problem is the fact that most villains solo very well. Which is a good thing for me as getting a team for my villains is something i am always open to but almost never bother to try to get anymore. -
I like the event except for the ski-ing
I was not able to get even the bronze medals last year so I am not retrying to do them this year. Although it is fun to ski. It is not fun to know that i will never ever can get my hands on these fine badges! -
I like the parkour power idea a lot. Would be hard to implement properly i guess but it looks brilliant.
For the travel powers i think a cossie piece to reflect the power would be a good idea for those who want an explanation of how they can sj/fly/teleport/speed.
We got some options but i would like more. -
Moat of my toons are build to hit +1 or +2 levels max. Hitting +3 levels means missing quite a lot and dying even more for them. So when i enter a team that insists on fighting purple minions it is bye bye for me. I like to feel useful in a team.

I like those ice patches in Frosty. Would be fun if we could do that in the chalet as well. /Signed.

took me 2 years to level my first 50. Why? Simple I wasn't in a hurry. There is nothing special about the 50. Nothing interesting worth doing actually. I only started leveling in earnest on my villain when i understood that the Veats were coming. I was 50 in less then a week then because i wanted to try those out.
Enjoy the game, it is not a rush job. I don't blame the people like that mr Smurphy for selling his services so long as it is not against the Eula. But those who use it are a bit pathetic. -
A bit pathetic if you need to do this ain't it? Lets be honest, leveling up fast is so ridiculous easy in this game that I wonder why people bother to pay for it.
-
Hover is a pretty handy power for blasters. It keeps them out of melee range and you can pick mobs of one by one while they wave their sharp implements pointlessly beneath you. The small defense bonus is nice to have especially as blasters don't have many defensive options available.

I think he's talking about the revamp to Faultline which happened before either of us started, sorudo.
[/ QUOTE ]
Indeed I am.
And yes I love the way Fault looks compared to a lot of city zones. -
Indeed, the mirror spirit looks very good. In fact the whole faultline looks superb now. You can see that the developers are getting more accustomed to the design tools. And dare do stuff they wouldn't touch before. I would love it when they would restyle some of their earlier work. Including mrs liberty.

I knew mine sounded a bit butch!
Indeed please fix it. It is wrong. -

Phew... Finally back on Firefox.
Thanks LeighB. It was the data getting stuck in Firefox's cache.
Simple solution, letting ccleaner take care of it
[/ QUOTE ]
Cleaner??
It is obvious that i dont know Firefox well. But i am only using it for a few days right now. But where and how do you activitate this cleaner? After all Firefox freezes my forum no and then as well but here is was thinking oh thats the forum acting up. -
Great ideas and don't worry about the red side. Plenty of opportunities there for eventlike things like this happening over there.
I like them.
But (you knew this was coming): Quite a few players have stated that they are sick and tired of zone events. Because it interferes with their non event things.
Also all that effort in creating events for a zone that people normally outlevel in half an hour seems to be a bit wastefull to me.
I am in favour though for more zone events to bring the city alive.
About your events. I assume that completing one event can trigger the next one? And would it not be better to forget about giving the mobs level and use the rikti engine for the mobs? That way everybody can join the fun if they like.
And with the new merrit system, solving events should grant merrits perhaps to make people actually do them? -

I thought the elemental shields were there for people using Icy/Firey/Electric/Stone Melee in combination with Shields, so the player had a thematic option.
[/ QUOTE ]
Got a fireshield fire scrapper. But I am not happy with the get sword slash now smash with fist thing. And i have seen plenty of people with energy shields and normal weapons. So I am guessing that there are people who would love a fireshield with a fiery sword/mace/axe for example. -
I would use this if it becomes available. I would love to play on crowded servers without losing all my veteran benefits or losing some of the nice people I met here. My preference would be though to merge the US and EU server list.
I understand however that that would be a bit hard to do as the US and the EU versions of this game are slightly different. GR has said that this option is not yet considered by NCSoft. -
I would love to see more flying animations. Including loopings and such.
Would be grand if we could make it into a semi true dogfight! Especially when you can aim forward without losing flying speed. -
Just stick to one elemental weapon per set. So one Ice sword/mace/axe, one Fire sword/mace/axe one energy sword/mace/axe etc. Still a lot of stuff but more doable.

The irony is, spade, is that none of my post was directed at the OP.
[/ QUOTE ]
The irony is not lost to me. I read in your post something else then you intended. Such are the fickles of communication. It is easy to misunderstand each other and jump to the wrong conclusions as I apparently have done in this case.
A wise thing not to pay to much attention to Doom 0r bye bye threads in game forums though. Still, I am a bit worried that not everybody is able to do that. And it would be a shame if threads like those scare potential gamers away. -

For the record I disagree.
The OP has been jumped on and ridiculed. You yourself as a self proclaimed "expert" are doing so by saying: "Most of these kinds of posts aren't infact anything other than incredibly desperate and sad individuals shouting off" implying that he might be one.
[/ QUOTE ]
Perhaps I should have made myself more clear. I am trying to point out that there is a difference between "I am worried that the game might be in a decline; here's why" and "The game is dooooomed, I demand action! The devs are rubbish. Post here if you agree. If you don't shut up 'cos I don't want a flame war"
People are far less likely to jump on, if that's the term you want to use, people who adopt the former attitude than the latter one. The OP has been jumped on because his post, at least came across, as the latter.
[/ QUOTE ]
But he got jumped upon right? I can understand and sympathize with the reasons why people feel the need to jump upon somebody. I also can understand and sympathize with the urge to punch somebody on his nose when provokes people enough. However there is a difference between the urge to punch and the act itself. This is supposed to be a civil forum and with that comes the need not to give in to urges to make a personal attack. However much you think somebody deserves to.
(Not that i think that the OP has written anything here to warrant such a personal attack).
Your post contributes to the inflamatory reactions because you seem to approve of the flamers reactions and make a claim possible that it is the OP's very own fault he got flamed in the first place.
Shame is that in the meanwhile the Op's post is no longer discussed for what he has said with proper counter arguments for those who disagree or wish to make a point. -
I knew those portals would come in handy now and then!
Good work. -
