Organisations with interactive websites likely to be used mainly by children must ensure that staff moderating the sites are not barred from working with children from October.
[/ QUOTE ]
Highlighted the essential thing here. This is not a forum mainly used by children. -
Every new set got big clunky ugly boots. Which may be nice if you like to play big clunky types.
I would like to see those new sets also contain not so clunky boots and especially heeled ones. My villainettes run around on heeled shoes. Not because they are anyway practicle but because they are beautiful feminine looking shoewear. And everybody knows that bad girls and impracticle shoes go together. Ok ok, so doe good girls and heeled shoes but it is stereotypical of bad girls and yes I love stereotyping in a mmorpg based on comics. -

Starscreamer:
The amount of TF's may well be greater hero side but for most of the population the Shadow Shard never gets touched, so thats -4 right there. Katie has been nerfed to pointlessness, so has Eden and now we start to look a bit more even.
[/ QUOTE ]
Shame about Eden, it is a cool TF.
But I see calls going out for Katie, SSTF 1-4 going often enough on the badgehunters channels. And they do get filled. I am sorry but that argument doesn't hold up. In fact, the merrit system makes forgotten TF's like posi being interesting again. If all you want is to hunt for merits, then Heroes do have 18 good tf's to do so while villains got only 10. Even hardtime merrit farmers like to have some variety I am sure.
[ QUOTE ]
Yes a 10-15 and a 30-35 SF is probably needed, but because those are levelling gaps, not because there are less TF's villain side.
I think you are making the right arguement for the wrong reasons. "Heroes have more than us WAAAH" isn't cool.
[/ QUOTE ]
The reason for the argument is not important when the argument IS right.
Plus: New TF's for red sides benefits most of the players as most of us play red and blue. And yes I want to see more TF's period and for me adding these TF's to plug holes on the TRED side makes sense. I would be happy if they added 1 red side and 1 coop. I would be more then happy if they changed possi while they are at it. -

All you need is 4+ people (an adequate team size) then descend upon the casino area in St. M (for Marcone bosses),
[/ QUOTE ]
This is about the NON Marcone Family bosses. You cant find them in St Martial.
However. I got a paper mission saved now that hopefully got the right family fraction. Now I need 7 other badgers to farm it. -
Today i saw a trenchcoat on a very very small person.
The trenchoat tails were dragging over the floor. While this looked nice while she was standing still, it got a bit ridiculous when she was running as the tail was getting longer and longer as it dragged behind her.
I fear that the widow capes would have the same issue and that Jay and his fellow developers don't want a repeat.
So I wouldn't be surprised if we will never see the daylight of the widow cape. -

I think you may very well be a lost cause then Londoner there is basically no difference between a TF and Mission Arc other than the fact your not locked into a mission arc normally.
Yes TFs have some special things like Romy and his buffing nictus but dose that really add loads of replay ability?
As to MA doing nothing for you how can you say that and complain about replay-ability MA gives the potential for unlimited missions and im sure there's going to be some real gems amongst them
[/ QUOTE ]
The big difference is that in a TF/SF you get rewards. You get merits. Merits from storyarcs are negligible. As a villain you should have more ways to do these then the same old same old.As a villain you should be able to get merits from tf's at every level as well. Just as heroes can. I don't think that is such an outrageous request. -
Not needed anymore, if you don't log on once and awhile you lose leader priveleges. Perhaps they should use auto demote on other SG-levels as well.
-
I don't play posi. It is repetitive, boring and way way to long. The only good mission is the first one, where you are faced with the horrors of the Vaziloks. Yes you get a load of merrits for being bored to tears. Not my idea of fun or time well spend.
I like variaty in TF's. With unique and tough challenges that require tactics to solve them. ITF, is a good example of how a TF should be. Posi is a good example of what a TF should not be. -
I wouldn't mind another Epic Coop TF either.
More end content is good content.

My bet is that I14 will be released at the 5th year anniversary.

Funny thing happened today.
Two people left the group I had just joined because people started to swear (I did not partake in the swearing part btw). Especially when they tried to avoid the profanity filter.
So apparently, some people do mind. I wonder what such people are doing playing a game where you 'arrest' people by shooting them full of holes though.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't swear in-game (for me it's always been something I say without really thinking and typing just doesn't work like that) but it doesn't bother me. People trying to bypass the filters though does annoy me. There's a difference between "speaking the way I always do" and deliberately trying to ram it down other peoples throats.
[/ QUOTE ]
True, that is childish behavior and of course a bit annoying. But is it a reason to quit a team for? Assuming that it don't continue for a longer period. -
Looking good. It certainly gave me some ideas of base improvements!
-
It is indeed a shame that a TF such as Eden is not worth anything anymore. Shame because it has an unique and interesting map and a challenging AV. That one could have some tweaking in the missions to make it less ghostable.
-
Snif.
Missing all the fun. No snow here. Not a single snowflake!
But no slippery roads either. Have fun you chaps and be careful out there. -
[ QUOTE ]
Villains are lacking a 40-45 TF, that's really it. Quality>Quantity.
[/ QUOTE ]
I disagree, we miss a 10-15 one as well.
Some more options would be great. Just add 10-15 and 40-45 and I will be semi happy.
Because I don't deny you heroes the awful 10Meaning Positron and co and the Shadowshard fun.
But us villains need loving to. -
[ QUOTE ]
To add to the above I don't mind if there are missions 'designed' for ghosting and rewards adjusted accordingly. I just hate seeing people speed run things like Katie Hannon and having it end up almost rewardless.
[/ QUOTE ]
Katie is an example of what I call a good TF.
It starts with a series of very tough fights that asks for a dedicated good team to pull it off. The missions after that is a rescue mission that can be ghosted. Since it is often a large map a good idea. Most often the ghosters will need some help dealing with the opponents in there.
Then you have a kill all mission in an interesting map to keep you entertained with vicious opponents.
Finally it got a mission that can be ghosted as well IF you use the right approach to it.
Each and every one of these missions requires a different tactic to do it efficiently. Of course you can always opt to just kill everything inside instead of playing it smart but that is up to the players.
The only problem I have with it, is the fact that it starts with a climax and ends with a fizzle.
I like Katie for the same reasons as I like ITF. Every mission is different from the others.
Ps.
In a TF you miss half the conversation if you are not the teamleader. A shame really. -
Indeed Ghosting should be doable even in TF's. Removing them won't do much to make the TF harder as well. It only makes them longer and more boring.
-
Nothing wrong with ghostable missions. The xp is in defeating opponents, not in the tiny amount you get for succeeding in a mission.
And for some of my characters, ghosting is what they are what they do. I love it when my Stalker walks into an heavily guarded complex only to do what is needed without anyone the wiser.
My brute on the other hand just beats up everything in sight for the fun of it. -

This must be the effect of that new global warming religion.
You know, the one where:
if it warms up it's due to global warming
if it gets colder it's due to global warming
if it rains it's due to global warming
if it doesn't rain it's due to global warming
if it snows it's due to global warming
if it doesn't snow it's due to global warming
if it's windy it's due to global warming
ad flamin' infinitum...
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't start this discussion please. Not on a game forum at least.
Of course we all know WHO is responisible for the snow right?
-
I am quite happy with a DB/WP scrapper myself. With build in health and endurance regeneration and decent mez protection you won't be needed to rest often. It also is a build who likes to fight multiple opponents at once so you can ply it well enough at higher difficulty levels.
I would vote against stone tank though. While they can absorb tons of damage, their bane is dealing damage. Especially when you go Granite and your attack speed is reduced dramatically. -

See that mission as a warning. If you keep dying in that cave then you wont be taking out Rom either.
[/ QUOTE ]
Intresting then, I don't die in it, and we still can't take down Rom.
[/ QUOTE ]
So if your group cant do those cysts then that could be a big warning but it ain't a guarantee of course. Rom is tough.
[ QUOTE ]
But that still doesn't answer the question - is 10 REALLY REALLY needed? Or is it some excuse to make the TF longer?
[/ QUOTE ]
How much would be good then? 8? 4? 1 perhaps? You could argue about any number. 10 is as good a number as 5.
[ QUOTE ]
Oh, and for those who are saying "Don't nerf Rommy, the game is too easy" - 'the game is too easy' has only been positively said by some people on this forum, so frankly, that's not enough to warrant not putting Rommy down a little bit. I am not saying nerf Rommy so he is not a challenge for anyone, make it so he's that little bit easier for the unusual/weaker mix of toons yet still a challenge for a l33t mix of toons.
[/ QUOTE ]
It is a good thing that there are a few challenges out there that require good teamwork, good tactics and yes good teams. Even now people are complaining that ITF is to easy!!
There are loads of TF's left that are good to do for a team that cannot tackle big Rom. But there is just one ITF. -
If I really want to swear (like tonight when the ambush didn't want to spawn properly and I will have to do that awful huge map filled with cots again until it does as i cant drop that mission ever), words are not enough to express my feelings. So why bother? A number of random keyboard hits express my frustration better then any words will ever do.
Sometimes you do forget this is just a game you play for fun. -
It would be great if they would diversify the missions. If they could give us something worthwhile doing at level 50. If they could change the AI. those things would be great.
However, I doubt that we will see that any time soon.
That leaves us the choice to either find other ways to amuse ourselves with this game or to start playing another game. If you reached the level that you are bored killing AV's solo without having to need uber IO's , then perhaps it is time to move on. -
Well said Khorak, well said. I think you hit the nail on the head here.
