Quote:I can tell you why... people who play only at day would not be able to be around for in-game night. Not being around for in-game night means not being able to get this badge for heroes or this badge for villains.OK, that would mean that some people would never get to see the city during the day as they only play at night, but there are other MMO's out there, including WoW, that implement a realistic day/night cycle, and it's completely a non-issue for them so why would it be an issue for us?

No worries. I didn't find out about the wiki until I first joined the forums about three months after I started playing the game.

Look up the contact you have, and it will list on the right side of the page who they'll introduce you too -
The cosmetic surgeons are in with the tailors at Icon/Facemakers. Rather than saying "Icon Employee" for instance it says Cosmetic Surgeon over their head. Tina the Seamstress in the Tiki lounge of Pocket D is also a cosmetic Surgeon.

Power Pool Cust was requested back when Power Cust was first released, and Power Pools were not included. Also asked about back at the con when Kinetic Melee/Elec control videos were shown.
Currently devs doen't have any time frame for PP Cust. -
I gotta say my favorite 'for fun' activity is collecting civilians. Basically on flyers, usually a peacebringer that I'm trying to get the first few levels I street hunt, and stay flying. When I rescue a civilian they'll chase after me to try and thank me and give me a pitance of inf, but since they can't reach me, they just run in circles under me.
I've found five is the limit before they give up. -
Thanks! I figured it would, but wanted to make sure first

Just curious, but if I want to unlock Ernesto Hess, and Katie Hannon, but have out leveled the contacts for them(Lars Hansen and Buck Salinger respectively), if I run their arcs through Ouro, will this unlock/introduce me to the two TF?
-
When you say "GR will address some of this" do you mean in terms of there being the new 1-20 content? Or that characters will be able to switch sides and have more to do at lower levels? Because if you mean the latter, side-switching isn't going to be available until lvl 20.
Just wanting clarification.
Either way, more tf/sf wouldn't be a bad thing at all. -
Yeah, sorry, but I don't see this working as a viable option.
What I WOULD like to see with naming is that they allow you to use "The" in your characters name.
"Darn, Exquisitor is taken. Maybe I can be The Exquisitor... oh.. no, it takes 'The' and puts it in the box just before name box..."
Now I know it's mainly for the "Title" you get to choose starting at level 15, but still, if I want to be "The Incredible Unbreakable The Exquisitor" it's my choice! -
We have the test server that respec builds can be tested with.

Yeah... my first time playing CoH... I was actually so disinterested at first, because of just how long it took me to make my costume because of all the options available, that I didn't read one bit of the tutorial. I barely made it out of the tutorial before I gave up on the game because it just seemed so boring. That was on my brothers account.
A few months after CoV came out, I bought that and made my own account thinking it'd be more fun to destroy and kill, than protect and serve. I knew about the costume creator, and just found something I liked, hit the tutorial and... skipped through it.
To this day(I'm a 36 month vet now), I still run the tutorial every time I make a new character, and I still have no idea what's in those windows that keep popping up.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. -
Something to keep in mind if you're looking to get a specific contact from your broker. If you run a safegard/mayhem, and the contact you want isn't there, so you run the safegard/mayhem again without selecting one of those contacts they do offer, the second time around you'll get those same contacts. But once you DO select one that you don't want, then you'll get a second set without having to run the SG/M a third time.

Actually it's server load, not population. There is a difference between the two. Also they're listed that way based on when they log in. Freedom/Virtue are normally at the bottom, but I have seen others listed below them, due to their load being higher at that time.

Sorry for the necro, but it's only a little over a month old, this really didn't get much discussion, and I have another reason for why LPs should get some work done to them.
Subscription cancelations. For example... due to a bank error my account was overdrawn, and this happened when my subscription was due to charge. My sub was canceled, and all my level pacts were broken. Out of about ten pacts, only one is still under level 5. So now that's 9 pacts that can't be fixed.
Something similar had happened back when level pacts first came out, though it was actually due to my pact mate canceling her sub due to money issues. When she came back a couple months later, we logged in, and our pact was broken. We didn't realize why at first so we petitioned. Got an email a few hours after we'd logged off, saying we repact but both of us would have to be on at the same time, and we'd have to petion again, and get a GM to help us.
Well we'd played that day for a couple hours, got no in game help. So then next time we played together, we petioned, and same thing. No in game help, and email after logging off. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on GMs or support, but if it's that hard to get ONE level pact fixed, try doing it with nine. Not to mention not being able to play one of those characters without the other for fear of making it impossible to repact because their XP no longer matches.
Long story short: Level pacts should be able to be made past level 5, even if there are restirctions like having to be within 5 levels of eachother. -
Not a bad idea, and I wouldn't mind seeing it happen.
If it were to be implemented I would guess that you would have to have all 36 slots on your chosen server filled, and then you would have to buy the 'slot transfer'.
But honestly, I doubt this will happen for two reasons. First one being that there are limits to some things. Sometimes you have to just be happy with what you have. Few years ago, before they made CoH/V into one game, and you had to pay for both Coh and CoV to play both sides, you only got 8 character slots on a server. Then they merged the games, and we got 12. Now we're up to 36. That's not bad.
Secondly, it's not as profitable. Because right now, it you want to play on only one server, and you do fill up your 36 slots on that server, and don't want to delete any of them, but want to make more characters, your only option is to make a second account. So rather than and extra $5 here and there they get an extra $15 every month. -

First off, learn to use the search feature of the forums. 1 and 6 are already addressed on this board.
1: See here
2: For Banshee I assume you mean a cape like this which we do have one cape like that. Can't remember what it's called though off the top of my head.
For Storm... she's had a few different styles. The only one that stood out to me, was the one that attached to her wrists. And like with Banshee's cape, if what you're really looking for is capes that attach to arms, is something the Devs have tried and it looked silly in the game. So don't expect it to be coming any time some.
3: I don't play female characters, so I don't know what their hairstyles are like really. So more high styles isn't a bad idea, but when making a suggestion, it's best to give more than a simple example like "curly hair". Be more descriptive, and maybe even put up a photo of what you're looking for. "Curly hair" can mean many different styles.
4: We get new emotes with almost, if not all, new issues. We don't get dozens each issue, but they're still coming. Not to mention the emotes you get with the perks(Wedding Pack/Booster Packs/etc). Trust me, they won't stop coming, and the devs don't need to play The Sims to get ideas for them. Again, if there's something specific you want, give examples. Vague is not for suggestions.
5: Bases are CoH/V's version of apartments/homes. If you want this, but don't want to share it, you can form your own personal SG, inviting only your characters and designing it however you want.
But I get the sense you want both, a personal place, and a SG base. Not something I would expect to see until bases are fixed to where they are working exactly as the devs want them too. Even then, not likely just because then it would a waste of dev time to make something that already exists in the game, but on a smaller scale, taking out features that don't make sense, and adding in new ones to make it different.
6: Again, Search function, and specifics. Here is a like to a search for new travel powers. Now obviously not everything on that like is a suggestion for new travel powers, but how many times do you search google, and everything that comes up is 100% relevant? Read what's been suggested before, and find out why we don't have it.
7: While it would be nice, how exactly do you think this would work? Temp Power Customization? Where you get the raptor pack from the bank, and then you can change the way it looks at the tailor? Because Power Pool customization isn't something they've got going yet, much less making it available for powers that not everyone in the game will get, or want.
Or, are you asking for more back options, so you have the jet pack on you at all times, even when you're not flying?
Keep in mind there are other jet packs in the game. You've got the raptor pack, the Holiday rocket pack, the 30 day Jet pack that you pay $5 for, Red side there's also the Goldbricker Rocket Pack. With I17 there's supposed to be a craftable jet pack, though this probably looks like the raptor pack. I've not seen it myself. -
Uhm... what exactly would the new insp do? From what I remember, the senzu bean healed the eater, and made it so they'd have energy for days without having to eat.
Essentially +Health and +Endurance.
We already have Inspirations for those. Unless you're thinking of where it increases your Max Health And Endurance? -
Delivery of the same old idea doesn't matter. It's like that old saying. You can polish a turd, but it's still a turd.
Something to keep in mind about full AT respecs/delevel 50's to 1 ideas/suggestions. Power customization was something often requested by the players. AT respecs are often requested. Devs never said Power Customization would never happen. Only that it was unlikely and would require a LOT of time. Devs have said AT respecs will never happen.
To summarize, just because an idea comes up time and time and time and time and time again, doesn't mean it's going to happen, no matter how you many times, or how many different ways you try to dress it up to look like something else. -
Okay, so I logged in and made a demon summoner. Entered Break Out, ran to get the Jailbird badge, and I paused for a moment to claim my vet powers. Hit "w" to move forward, and the camera turned to the right as if I'd hit the "e" key. "Q" would make me run forward. Tried other keys, and it seemed as if they all just jumped over to the left by one key.
So I went to options and reset all keybinds to default, and still, nothing worked right. Logged out, and back in, still nothing. Now so far all of this has been done on a Z-Board keyboard. I tried using my regular keyboard, and everything worked fine. By the way, I use both keyboards at all times, both plugged into my comp, and have never had any problems like this for over two years now.
After a few minutes, the Zboard seemed to have fixed itself, and I went on playing as normal until I zoned out from the mission in Break out, and it was the same problem all over again.
Any ideas? -
Quote:Not quite, though I thought the same thing at first.I can't believe I missed this logical non-choice. Both options, as presented, are the same as pool powers only unlock at level 6.
Quote:For everyone:
Removal of prereqs (you can get Fly without Hover)
Quote:For 60+ vets:
Can take any of the powers at any level (can get Fly at level 6)
And for the record, I don't support this idea, just clarifying it for those like myself who misinterpreted. -
Quote:This comment right here just made you loose any credibility you might have had.I just really don't see myself still playing this game 3 more years.
Explain to us now why you should get a benefit that's awarded for loyalty, when you've just said you won't be loyal to the game long enough to earn it.
Yes, you've said you've seen why this was a bad suggestion, but another point no one yet has mentioned(That I've seen, I might have missed it), but what about those who are at 59 months vet status when this suggestion would be implemented. They're about to get it for free, and then all of a sudden, they have to pay for it. How would this be fair to them?
Honestly, if the day does come where the devs make it so that vet rewards were given for time paid, and not time paid/waited, I would pay up for the next three years to get 'caught up' to the 70-odd monthers who've been around since the beginning of the game. But I don't see it happening anytime soon, and will wait to earn the rewards just like everyone else does. -
A thought I just had for these badges is actually rather simple(In thought, not implimentation). Ouroborus. Ouro the 'time' the badges were originally released, and then participate in the 'event' that happened at that time. If there wasn't an event, then link it to to an event, that has been taken out of the game. Like the Calvin Scott TF. Once completed you get the Anniversary badge. An option to be used at the Devs descretion would be to add an asterisk to the badge, showing that the badge was earned via Ouro, and not by actually being around that long.
This would allow the badges to be earned by those who both have been around since the start who might have missed it, or created characters after the fact, and late starters who weren't around then.
