Quote:Actually, it is almost as good as all three combined. Per Nihili:While over time this is true, in practice, I find, due to the unpredictability of the proc, it's not as valuable as a flat .2 e/s enhacement would be.
Of course, it's still way better than the .04 e/s for the third end mod
Also, keep in mind that while the proc is random, it is immune to -recovery debuffs. This means it ticks after nukes, during tier-9 crashes, after using a wakie, etc.Quote:Slotting endmod over +end in PP is shooting yourself in the foot. PP gives +12.5% base, so 3 end mod slots will give you an additional +12%. That's +0.22 EPS with 110 max end. One +end proc is almost as good (~+0.2 EPS) and you save 2 slots.
I can't find my bookmark, but even in Stamina and Quick Recovery, my understanding is that the proc is always more endurance over time than even the first level 50 End Mod IO.
My understanding is for all auto powers to get mathematically the most endurance over time:
If you can only spare one slot, use the proc.
If two, use the proc plus the endmod and get 5% run speed.
If three, the proc, the endmod, and a common end mod.
If four then 4 from the perf shifter set because the set bonus works our to more endurance per second than the third end mod IO would.
Are my notes wrong? -
Quote:I know you get an SO of your origin and level everytime you defeat an AV.Dunno if its just something weird....but my scrapper in Praetoria popped 3 level 10-12 tech resist SOs. Sold 2 of the 3 on market since I couldn't use them.
That's how you sometimes get level 1 SOs turning up. I wonder if you get them on arc completes or other activities? -
also, be sure you have two merits. Otherwise you'll only see the ones that cost 1 merit.

does it trigger the hidden status for stalkers and Veats? If so it's a second placate.

That's base salvage right? Does it even exist anymore?

Quote:It is almost always worth slotting -to hit. Especially if it can take accurate -tohit sets. Those have very nice bonuses. Dark Watcher's Despair is pretty affordable and gives recharge as an alternative. In trick arrow's flash arrow, Is the -to hit worth slotting if possible and is it possible to stack the effect with the same caster?
Multiple copies of the proc stack, I have seen builds with three of them (Quick recovery, stamina, and physical perfection). However I think if you put it in accelerate metabolism and it goes of it only hits you. But I'm sure someone else will correct me if I'm wrong.Quote:I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to slot Performance Shifter chance for end into my Earth/Rad's Accelerate Metabolism. I have read that the proc will work for teammates that way which is good. My question however is if you slot the same proc into stamina will the two procs stack or only work once even if they both proc?
Yes and no. You do NOT need stamina. The domination end refill has no significant impact on this fact depending on which primaries and secondaries you have selected (you will almost certainly want stamina for any build using earth or fire for example)Quote:Lastly, I just started my first heroic Dominator in shiny new Praetoria and I was wondering what people think about Domination's end bar refill effect. Does this relieve me off the need for stamina as long as I slot end red into my attacks?
If you build for end reduction in your attacks, and properly build a solid attack chain that deals damage but also isn't all high speed high-endurance powers, you can skip stamina. If you also build for recovery via set bonuses and get your +end accolades it is much easier to go without stamina.
By the time you have enough global recharge bonuses to have the domination power up often enough that it is a functional endurance management tool, you're a permadom and probably level 50 and have most of the game behind you, so it's not providing much help anyway.
That said, all the most fun powers suck down endurance like nobody's business so it is way more fun to make a build that needs and uses both stamina AND the domination power. =) -
Quote:I just did some searches but couldn't find anything on the wiki that was helpful image or instruction-wise. So I'll do my best to verbally describe it.I still need help (sorry). I've flown around the Chantry multiple times, but can't find a tunnel. There are two places where the forcefield goes up higher. I thought those might be the tunnels, but no luck. There is also a rock that almost touches the Chantry, but I couldn't find any way through that.
Help :-(
The chantry is a big death-star-like object floating in space. Around the middle is a band of forcefields with vertical columns of metal/stone splitting it.
If you have your back to the map entrance point (use a thumbtack to mark it if you need) and are facing the chantry there will be a short series of "smaller" floating rocks leading up to it like "steps". Smaller is ambiguous, each is large enough to hold two or three enemy spawns, but much smaller than the giant rock the mission starts on and you need to fly or use the geysers to jump between them, they are not connected to each other, but they are physically close.
Two vertical columns are facing these smaller rocks/steps. In between them the forcefield is an illusion, you can go right through it and you will be on a ledge full of enemies. Head immediately to your right (counterclockwise around the band). After about 25% of the circumference there will be a very dark hall off to your left. In the back of this hall is a multi-colored blob of energy floating in the air. It is colored like oil on water and is very pretty. If you click it, you will be transported inside the Chantry to a huge central room.
There are multiple spawns of enemies around the sides, a large central area with the main villain, and plenty of open space for maneuvering. In the words of the Emperor "wipe them out. All of them." -
Quote:The problem with the wiki page, is that it's too much official game data and not enough step-by-step instruction/feedback. Too formal.Paragon Wiki page on the subject.
Top Doc had exactly what I needed. -
Is there a guide to picking up warburg nukes solo anywhere? All I can find when I search are guides to taskforces that suggest using a nuke =)
I'm no good at searching. -

On thing that might help is breaking the cycle of using a 50. Get them on any character who can kill level 21 enemies. I farm these missions on a 50, and use them to level my lower alts. As long as I earn a merit every day or two I'm content, regardless of which character it is on.
-
Here's what I do. While levelling, I slot a combination of what drops, and cheap good stuff I can buy. Any set IO from level 24+ is going to give you a higher bonus than a level 53 SO, so if it drops, use it immediately. Yes a level 50 is a higher bonus than a level 24, but the 24 is good enough for level 50 content, so don't wait, just use it.
Once you reach character level 50, you have a good idea of the powers you like and what changes you want to make. So at this point, use your second build to create an ideal build. Keep playing with your first build as it is already full of working enhancements. But as you get the funds, fill in your second with exactly what you want at the IO-level you want. Take your time because you can still have fun with your primary build. =)
Once your ideal build is finished, then you can swap over and play with it. And if you ever need to exemplar down for a taskforce or anything else, you have your original build that works just fine. -
Actually, for me a-merits are much faster than the market. I'm a slow but steady marketer. I make about 3 to 6 million an hour farming (utter crap but that's the best I got), I can pull in 40 to 100 million a week off the market crafting (also crap but its the best I got), or I can do three oro arcs and 10 tip missions and buy a luck of the gambler... I'll take a-merits thank you.

My favorite way to get free time is the refer a friend option. =) 4 months so far. Do you r part, sell your soul to NC Soft and convince everyone and their mother to try CoH so you can get free game time!

Hmm, I did this one recently and I had no issues.
Also for future reference this map is used on several missions (Nerva Arc from Naylor, Scirrocco's patron arc, at least one more I'm forgetting) on every single one of the missions, you have to go into the Chantry and kill the boss and entire spawn. Something to keep in mind for the next time they re-use it, because you know they will.
So for me, there was no mystery, As soon as I recognized the map I just found the portal then flew right to the chantry for the win.
and I loved the mist. DA is one of my favorite zones because of the mist and I had a ton of fun on this mission sneaking around in the dark.
Edit, I think it's in Alone in the Darque? Or is it not? -
I forgot to ask, do you exemplar much? Because if you do there are specific levels you want for your IOs. 50 for the quads, 43 for the triples, 24 for the duals. That gives you the same % enhancement from level 50 all the way down to level 21, awesome for strike forces and Oro =)

Looking this over. I can give a few small bits:
on Health, swap out one of the generic heals for the numina's to get that first set bonus. Same on Stamina with Performance Shifter.
On healing flame, I'd go with two numina's and two miracles because the first bonus for doctor'd wounds is junk. But pull the oblit out of rise of the pheonix and leave in the doctor'd wounds heal/recharge, so you have 5 slots in this one. Or have you hit 100% recharge on it with your current slotting?
buildup seems overslotted. I'd do adjusted targetting tohit/rech and rech, and then either a common recharge, or tleave in the gaussian's tohit/rech, but I'd go with the common first. Put that extra slot in one of your prime attacks, most of them are only 5 slotted. Add another crushing impact to get 7% global accuracy, or add a decent proc. -

Quote:Sprint and prestige sprints all take Zephyr and Winter's Gift. I dun think quickness does though.Well the Bolded parts would explain a whole lot, but riddle me this; How did he fit those two anywhere in sprint, quickness, swift and/or hurtle?

I still agree that it is a waste, but it CAN be done. -
Quote:Yes, create an AE mission and use dialog to include a reference to your character's sex and see which one you turn up.So I took my shiny new electric dom through Nova Praetoria and did the arc which results in you fighting all of the top dogs in the Powers Division. At the final round fight, you get a decent amount of encouragement from Praetor Duncan. After winning, she kind of hit on my character, making remarks about keeping an eye on capable men.
Which is fine, except my character was a lady.
Is there some easy way in-game to see what gender a given character is flagged as, so I can tell if this char is set wrong? -
-
Quote:See, I use sets for this because it is cheaper and I can do it with all powers on all origins. If they were on the market, and had extended range, then we'd all hit SO power at level 10.
Would that be a bad thing? Probably not. The teens are often that part of a character's career that you rush through to get to Stamina and SO's, when you can finally stop gasping for air after a couple of groups.
If it were up to me I'd probably just make SO's available at level 15 instead of 25.
I get SO-level or higher bonuses on every character starting at level 14. Because that is when you can slot level 17 triple IOs and those give higher bonuses than a +0 SO. You can use level 21 duals to get 33.6% compared to 33.33% from a +0 SO. or level 24 duals to get 38.4% compared to 38.33% from a +3 SO.
Lots of my characters have level 20-26 Serendipity, Karma, Kismet Def/end or Def/End/Recharge slotted for SO-level performance. Same with a bunch of my attacks etc.
Not having to shop over and over and over is just a bonus. -
