I'm not complaining (don't think you thought I was, but covering myself just in case). I mostly just couldn't let two red, shirtless demons being the winner and runner-up go without making some sort of wisecrack about it.

It's odd how you have devastation in some of the blasts but thunderstrikes in another. I'd suggest using all thunderstrikes (for defense) or all decimations (for offense).

I grabbed my storm/energy and was able to solo Catburgler as an EB under the following conditions:
-I did not use any powers from my primary except for steamy mist
-I did not use any epic pool powers
-I did not use any temp powers or non-passive accolades
The second condition was actually the tough one for me. I don't have power burst in my build since I'm using dominate instead. That means I had to use energy torrent as my third attack which was a real drain on my endurance. At level 50 this guy does over 1k damage with his focus since I didn't have any resistance. I failed on the first attempt because focus took me by surprise, but succeeded on the second one by using 1 health, 4 defense, and 4 endurance inspirations.
Focus and the self heal made this guy a real pain, but like any EB he should be defeatable through intelligent inspiration usage.

The rampant nerfing to AoE attacks remains my greatest pet peeve about I13. And keep in mind that I'm one of the people who overall LIKED issue 13's changes.

I won't be moving anyone anywhere.
As for TFs, well, the heroside respec trial sucks. That's just the way it is. Finding the people necessary for the more popular TFs like the Cimeroran one is as easy as going to the zone where it takes place and waiting for someone to broadcast about it. -
What you're serious? I thought you were just trolling.
If you really do it, my usual teammates haven't played recently, so you may have to settle for just me or I'll have to pull someone random from my globals or from arena chat. -
Lol, if you guys really want to put me in my place that badly go for it.
-
Pinnacle.
And yes, one of my teammates drank before every match. -
Quote:Final two matches were against a brute, corruptor, blaster team and a controller, scrapper, blaster team. The brute, corruptor, blaster team was the other undefeated team and we didn't take any deaths against them or the team after them. What kinda of team configurations were you beating out of curiosity? mostly melee toons or something? I honestly can't imagine a line up like that working in a legit 3v3 match unless it was all melee toons or afkers.
You can say the other teams were stupid if you want to, but that's not the only pvp tournament I've won on my server with my defender. I've been on a winning 2v2 and 5v5 team as well. -
REQUIRED huh? The last pvp tournament I participated in was a 3v3 and our team was a blaster, controller, and me as the defender. None of us had phase shift or hibernate, blaster had both SJ and SS, controller and I only had SS. We won every match, and had a total of three deaths.

Since this would require the powers themselves to be messed with, it wouldn't be possible for pool powers to do this. It would also have the consequence of having your toggle buffs affect your teammates even if they're mezzed. As it works right now, you lose the benefit of other people's steamy mist and shadowfall if you're mezzed, under this system you'd keep the buff if that person was a defender.

I'm up for that. Any time is good for me assuming I can remember to come.
-
Do you mean the toggles wouldn't suppress?
-
Quote:Not exactly true. At 25% defense an even level malta sapper will miss you 25% of the time (you meant half of his attacks that would have hit will miss instead, so I'm nitpicking really). At 45% defense you'll be dodging 95% of the attacks that come your way.Just double the number, and thats the percentage of attacks that bounce of you. So with 25% you're taking half damage, debuffs and mezzes from any ranged volley of attacks, Malta Sappers miss you half the time etc. It caps at 45% where 90% of attacks bounce off.

You mentioned tankers later, but there's also Kheldians.
-
A lot of melee area attacks are considered melee type anyway.
-
Recharge and/or defense are the important things to go for in just about any build. Everything else tends to come on its own if you go for those.

It looks like there aren't any rules against entering in multiple categories or servers. Is that the case?
