Maybe if you had the option to turn off double XP you had the option of faster Day Job progression (and vice versa).....?

From what i know, it was actually Omega Sektor who approached NCsoft for the event that happened this year.

I personally enjoyed meeting a lot of people who i hadnt met in real life ever. Yes i know i could have spent time travelling around the country for it, but player meet ups in the UK are strangely NOT well advertised that well around here.

It was more of a social event, and considering that NCsoft Europe paid for it out of their own budget (and NOT NCNC/NCsoft America), i think that the game development DIDNT take a hit (apart from losing War Witch for a few days, but i believe that she took holiday time for that).

Now, granted I can understand the situation from your point of view now that NCEurope and NCsoft America have merged.

But under that scheme of things, shouldnt they have cancelled the US HeroMeet as well?

And trade shows are FAR more expensive to show up to, as you basically pay for your floor allowance, and THEN you have to get the fixtures and fittings/computers (you provide your own), staff over there.

The Omega Sektor Event went *suprisingly* well as i know i handed out a lot of trial codes over the course of the saturday/sunday (and also help set up the accounts for the NEW players). Infact so well that the OS had to tell people that there were NO computers spare at all (rather suprising really for even though MOST of the people there were there for NCsoft, they still had their OWN customers show up and join in the fun.)

PS if you know a location that could fit 400 people onto computers WITHOUT having to bring their own then please suggest it. I am sure that us other people would LOVE to hear about it (especially if its in the UK)

IIRC the game engine is OpenGL system and that in itself have its own set of issues (advantage of OpenGL is that if they wanted to port over to another OS, then *in theory* its a lot less work than dealing with DirectX)

Sorry FFM, i was referring to TR in that last post, as to why its not all that hard to have seperate servers for other languages in TR....

Inside CoX though it is a lot harder, as almost everything is stored serverside...

Yes, my mistake. i meant to say they basicly got 3 servers in 1 (english/german/french). But afaik, parts of the language of zudunkf and viligance are coded serverside, so might give problems to do the same.

From what i can gather, it wouldnt be all that hard to set it up that way, as the language files are stored client side (I remember setting myself asian text at one point for a laugh). All that would happen is that you have 3 servers the same with no major difference (apart from maybe the change of language for /1 and setting english up to /11 or /12 depending on the *foreign* server you are on)

Where did the other 2 come from? As far as I can remember there's only ever been 1 EU server for Tabula Rasa, Centaurus, which has been there since launch. The other 3 are based in the US.

Easy, setup up the rucrring billing so that it is on file... then cancel the payment right away (you wont get charged UNTIL your game time cards have run out).

contrary to some beliefs, empathy can be a REALLY fun AT to play, especially in a big team on a high rep. You're almost always busy, unless of course there's an amazing buff on team. Which is why I went with troller rather than defender. Though my primary goal was empathy, I didn't feel as useless when the team didn't necessarily need an empath.

Aye indeed. I *originally* took empathy under the misunderstanding that it would help me stay alive, and that the damage from fire control would help levelling... little did i know that Brawl was your *major* attack whilst soloing LOL.

Now saying that, whilst being teamed there are *several* ways to play it. I have fortitude and RA, but apart from that and rez, i have the healing powerers and Clear Mind... so 2 buffs and ALL the heals goings.... and people wonder why i like taking all the damage (maybe powerboost/temp invulnerbility/Conserve power help me think that i can indeed tank, and that Malta Sappers are just lost foreigners from the Mediterranean)

Oh shhh, that is how i play my Fire/Empath Controller.

Then again he does have a *slight* complex about thinking that he is a tanker.

I would be likely to use them, as currently my level 50 build is currently rubbish when exemped down too far, even down to level 25 (lack of travel powers and the like).

Although i *could* rework part of the build, it would also probably change my slotting around due to when powers can be slotted etc...Ah well, c'est la vie.

Anyway, a TF build would be nice (ie one for the lower levels), as my build *isnt* too bad once you get past level 35ish

Ooooh i am intrigued to be honest. Especially seeing as i have some starter/trial packs that still have yet to be opened laying around in my room.
