    They lost a customer in me and others. I would have bought every travel power released if only toggles were allowed to stay active. Now I won't. Those words that's money flushing down the toilet for paragon studios cause some lazy developer couldn't spend a little extra time to code that toggles stay active while these travels are active.

    Wish I was allowed to half *** my job like some of these devs do lol.

    And not purchasing any further non combat travel powers is the most effective way for players to show their dissatisfaction with a particular product.

    However the devs are going to look at the total numbers of sales made when they listen to customers making complaints. If the sales are lousy then they will either stop making the powers or redesign them. If the sales are high then they will view that as proof that the majority of customers are satisfied with the powers and they'll continue to make them as is.
  3. I think the way things work on the test servers now is anything that is going to be sold in the store has to be "bought" first, and anything that is going to be given to everyone as part of an issue will be available immediately.

    But that's just a guess.

    First you started it off as a complaint/petition, then changed it to a suggestion, then back to a complaint, and now it's a suggestion again.

    That can get confusing especially with all the editing you've been doing every couple of hours.

    Reading comprehension. You should get some and use it. Nowhere did I say you have no right to complain. What I have been refuting is your pathetic insistence that certain powers are broken when they in fact are working exactly as they were designed to.

    If you are going to complain about game mechanics don't make up or twist the facts. When you do that people will call you on it just as they have done here.

    And if you don't like people disagreeing with your, "complaints" as you call them, then you should send them directly to the devs via private message. When you post openly in the forums you have no authority to dictate who responds.

    Oh so now you are trying to go back to the false argument that the powers in question are broken when in fact they aren't.

    A tire with a leak is in need of repair because it isn't functioning as it was intended to. These powers are working exactly as intended. You simply don't like the way they were designed.

    Now it is possible that in the future the devs may release new travel powers that allow the use of other powers while they are active, but the devs are not going to redesign the current ones.

    You have to unlock the power set first by buying it from the Paragon Store. You can open the store window on the beta server from the character creation screen.

    Don't make statements about what should be "easy" to code. The devs have specifically stated that these powers work this way because of the amount of time that it would take to create new animations (and yes, they would be new animations). Beast/Ninja Run aren't the same because while they are animations themselves like the Flying Carpet and Hover Board, you don't maintain the positions when your powers animate. Instead you just play a different animation, then return to your previous animation.     Dark's correct. The amount of work it took the devs to create Ninja and Beast Run was a big factor in their decision to make the new travel powers as simple as possible. By making them as they are they've been able to get more powers out than previously possible.

    The devs do and don't do lots of things that some people think is stupid.

    Some people think it's stupid they can't respec out of power sets.

    Some people think it's stupid that the devs refuse to let us email SG invites to our own characters.

    Some people think it's stupid the devs refuse to merge the servers.

    Some people think it's stupid that the devs let players form closed leagues in the Queue.

    Everyone has a pet peeve they think the devs are stupid for doing or not doing.

    There isn't an MMO in existence where everyone is happy with their devs decisions.

    The fact that some players try to use the powers in combat situations isn't relevant. The powers are still deliberately designed to prevent the use of all other powers.

    None of the powers you are complaining about are required to play the game. They were only added to flesh out character concepts. They are purely fluff, just like the snowball power that does no damage.

    Actually this is the section of the forums where players argue either for or against a suggestion. Not everyone is going to agree with you.

    You started off by suggesting with the title of your thread that there is something broken with the Walk/Hover Board powers when the truth of the matter is that these powers are working exactly as the devs designed them.

    Furthermore if you haven't noticed they have added more travel powers that work the exact same way, and even more variations are in development or are soon to be released.

    These are cosmetic/thematic/RP powers that grant players greater freedom in customizing their character concepts. They were never intended for use in combat. Thus the ability to use attacks or defenses were never coded into them.

    That's assuming the Queue fills teams to the max before starting TF's. If on the other hand it uses the minimum number required you'll get 33 instances with 1 player left over. And judging by what I've seen in the current queue system it doesn't try to fill out full 8 man teams.

    When a Hero/Villain hits 50 they are Uber awesome (Incarnate is OMFGUber Awesome with OMGWow attached) and should be able to look the part (should but not HAVE TO).

    As to what the costume pieces would be?
    Well obviously not like the Incarnate pieces that you buy with Astral/Emp Merits.
    Head, shoulders, chest, gloves, aura, cape, boots covering different "types" (like techno gear for the sci-fi toons, enchanted gear for the magic-users and something more... natural).

    Or what about an extended Battlecry? Allow double the length of characters for your F10
    I have to admit I have mixed feelings about gating costume pieces. On one hand I don't mind getting a costume piece by earning an achievement of some sort, but I never liked that we had to wait until level 35 to be able to get access to the Roman costumes, or have to keep our accounts active for a year or more to get costume sets as vet rewards.

    Gating complete sets behind things ruins too many character concepts. No one likes having to wait until the middle or the end (level wise) of a characters career. Or having to wait months or years to get the costume set you want.

    The origins of slang rarely make sense. So there's no reason cosmetics couldn't be slang for something else.
