Quote:I love the skull used by Gloom. I'd like Dark Blast (somewhere in the set, not necessarily the power) to have the twisting multi-skull animation used by the ghosts in Port Oakes, too.I dont like the skull for the dark blast, or the tentacles for dark melee.
Dark/Dark Defender Defender? -

Pre-I19, I felt that Stamina had no use on a Kin with Transference. Post-I19, you get it for free, but you don't have to add any slots if you don't want to.
Of course, your situation before Transference may be different -

Quote:Did you only check if the AV was being affected, or did you also check if the Combat window was reporting the proc firing?I set up an AE mission with a custom AV who had no attacks nor defenses.
I used the power analyzer temp power to observe the AV's status. Then I set the power that has that proc in it on auto.
Additionally, I also used two other powers that also have -to hit. The effects of the other powers DID show up, but the effects from the proc never did.
If the Combat chatter never says that the proc fires, then it's probably just an issue with the chance to occur. If the proc is firing but the AV isn't being affected, then it's either an issue with the proc's power being applied, or the numbers in the power being screwed up. -
Quote:Games which do not have one or both of these things -- which explicitly allow the kiting the anti-suppression people want -- have extremely akward-looking animations, where the attacks are animated entirely independent of the legs (or whatever moves the character around). While there are MMOs out there without movement suppression there are a couple mechanics that tend to go with it that make it less than ideal for some players as part of game balance.
1) Almost all attacks can be interrupted, so if you do move while activating an attack it's canceled.
2) You have to maintain direct facing at an opponent to hit it with an attack. -
Quote:In the mean-time, your only option for mobile devices it to use a web-based planner like SuckerPunch's Online Planner. (Unfortunately, I don't believe SuckerPunch's planner is very up to date.)As far as I know there is not currently a functioning hero builder app. If you do a forum search I'm sure you'll find a few others that have expressed interest in getting something like this going.

I haven't actually found this to be much of an issue. The only place where positioning is critical is in the fight against Battle Maiden with the damage patches spawning everywhere, but as far as I can tell they only spawn on top of players. So, if you keep your pets away from other players (and from yourself), the henchmen won't hit the damage patches. On the other hand, if you have your pets on follow and you notice a patch spawning under yourself, one good jump away should be enough to drag your pets out of the area, too (inherent Hurdle with a single lv50 Jump IO is plenty for this). Of course, this assumes your pets aren't currently engaged with the enemy, and will follow you closely when you jump.

Sorry, I skimmed over the part about being a Praetorian MM rather than a Primal one.

Don't you mean Ullikummis?

Quote:Isn't Techbot Alpha a Robotics/Traps MM rather than a /Devices Blaster?I mean no disrespect, Tech, but what you describe is only doable with Inventions, for the simple fact that Blasters don't have access to powers which can do that, and I've never been a fan of powers that only work well with Inventions, even if they weren't changed to that.

I ran the Protest event on my Thugs/Dark MM solo; obviously no problems since I was doing it solo, nobody to compete with. But I ran the Syndicate Takedown and The Great Escape events both on full teams, with a couple extra people who weren't on the team, and I still got the top reward.
Based on your story, the only main difference I can see between my zones events and yours is that I was firing Night Fall and Soul Tentacles into large groups trapped in Tar Patch, and I was stunning all the minions with Howling Twilight. -
Quote:There's a noise and a graphical effect. The effect is very hard to notice if you've got your graphics setting turned down, or if there's already another blue swirling effect near you. (The ATF I ran, we had a Cold Corruptor with a matching blue Arctic Fog; he got caught many times.) The sound effect is also hard to hear if you have your volume turned down, or if there are too many other sound effects going on.I keep reading that there's supposed to be some advance warning before one of those Cheating Circles of Death appears, but I never saw any such indication. I just got blindsided by them over and over again, as did the rest of the team, until we finally gave up. I'm glad some people are getting enjoyment out of it, but you couldn't pay me to run through that meat-grinder again.

Quote:The vidiotmaps overlay does not install or run any separate program. The only reason Vidiotmaps has an installer executable is to make the mod simple to use, and to allow one-click removal via the Programs menu within the Windows Control Panel.Umm... Most of the people I know run a low end comp(minimum spec) and do not have problems. If you download the vidiotmaps overlay it shows you where all the badges are.
All Vidiotmaps actually does is put some image files in a subfolder of your CoH installation. CoH, then, uses those images to override images it would normally use. -
As above, various TFs can give you a specific common component without you needing any shards. If you always did those TF, you would only need shards for the uncommon components (8 shards each).

At least one per server I play on, so that if friends want to run Apex or Tin Mage, I can join them.

I believe you're seeing the result of Titan's regular backup process, and/or cleanup to prevent the server from freaking out about the backup (which it has done before). It was down for me as well, but it's back up just as fast.

Quote:I agree. If you're not interested in all the marketeering stuff, just dump everything you get for 5 inf*. For some things, you'll get less than what you could get selling to a vendor, but for other things you'll get more than enough to make up for it.I encourage you to use the market at least to the extent to sell your drops. I can't really emphasize this enough, but just selling your drops will get you ridiculous piles of influence. Maybe not right now, maybe not tomorrow, but in a few months' time you'll have a lot of influence.
* If you list the item under 5 inf and someone also pays under 5 inf for it, you will lose money due to the market fee. If you list for exactly 5 inf and someone pays exactly 5 inf, you will neither gain nor lose anything. If you list for 5 inf and someone pays more than 5 inf, you will gain much. -

Would you rather they stand in the burn patch and take 500 damage?
Yeah, it can be annoying, but there is method to the madness.
