Quote:I honestly never tried. I received the Dungeon Runners box as a gift, and the game closed shortly after my membership expired. I never had technical trouble with DR, so I never had to root around my filesystem to do anything abnormal. With Exteel, I played through the tutorial and decided the game wasn't for me. (Though I didn't actually come to that conscious conclusion for about another month of not playing it.) IIRC the launcher also worked with the Tabula Rasa beta, but the network on campus didn't work with TR (I could log in and then do nothing) and then I never tried TR after the beta was over.Where you able to bypass the launcher and boot any of those games directly.
Of course, at that point all I had left was CoH, which wasn't compatible with the launcher, so I uninstalled it. -
In most official statements/articles, the game is referred to as either "City of", or "City of Heroes". Since any game purchase gives you access to CoH and CoV now, both really fall under the same commercial heading. And while you can't access Praetoria without GR, people don't really call it City of Praetorians or anything like that, do they?

Quote:On the other hand, we have in-lore explanation for that. The Portal Corporation scientists have named our reality "Primal" Earth not just because they live here, but because according to their findings, we're a nexus among the multiverse. For example, we can easily reach Praetoria, Rikti Earth, and the Shadow Shard (and every other dimension you're sent to in the 40+ heroside content), but it's not quite so simple to jump between the Shard and Praetoria, or Rikti Earth to Axis America. Each dimension is capable of reaching multiple others, but our dimension has more possible connections than any of the others we've discovered.rather than always being invaded by everyone and their grandma.
Besides, the Coming Storm is still not here yet. -

Quote:Multiple fancy capes. And considering the devs do everything in their power to prevent players from having more than one cape system at a time, I don't see us getting it for ourselves. That one actually has been in since City of Villains, used by the Primal version of Belladonna Vetrano (Ghost Widow). From my understanding, the hair actually is just a fancy cape.
My Thugs/Dark MM managed to get a Fringe Cape/Magic Bolero combo before they closed that loophole up. If I ever try to change that costume slot, I'll lose it. -
I'm enjoying this thread. Mostly for Hamster's images.

To be perfectly serious, that's pretty much the case according to the lore. During the Rikti War, we used the War Walls to compartmentalize the fighting. Afterward, little has changed, except the enemies we're using them against. Instead of Rikti invaders, we're using them against Hellions through Devouring Earth and beyond.
The War Walls aren't meant to keep things out. They're meant to keep things in. Perhaps that's why it's so easy for the new Rikti invasion ships to get through from the outside. -

Quote:If you read his description (though I doubt many if any players do that before fighting him), it says he has gained the ability to "bifurcat[e] his body to recuperate from enemy attacks."How does the game tell you the bifurcations boost his regen again? I think the flashing red text only mentions he summons one but not what it does. Maybe if they rewrite it to mention the regen boost people will have less trouble with the guy?
Quote:why has the entire thread been about Trapdoor? I spent the majority of my first post talking about how great and fun the rest of the arc was!
People still have things to say about Trapdoor, but they've said all they really want to about the rest of the arc.
In other news, it hurts my pride to use a stepladder when getting something off the top shelf. -
Have you checked the city map recently? Look at all that space between the zones we can access!
That's the suburbs. Where things are safe for children and sane non-supers. -
While we don't have a power called Sonic Grenade, it's a clone of Disruption Arrow. And a Corruptor can certainly have the frankengun (or a better-looking one) plus Disruption.
Sure, you're not firing a grenade, but the grenade animation is nothing special. -
And so presumably, Praetorian Arachnos is still rooted in Italy (possibly still led by The Weaver), rather than a small chain of islands near Bermuda.

I didn't realize Ninja Run needed a guide...

There's nothing that Longbow gets that players don't already. They don't even really use impossible combinations like the ones that are often assigned to imperfect clones.
The PPD only get unique stuff with their hardsuits/mech troops; and if you want that, why not suggest a mech/exoskeleton AT rather than specifically PPD? -
"Deflected" means an attack missed you specifically because of the bonus defense from your shield. Various +def powers can cause different messages, depending on the intent. For example, SD powers give "deflected", because the defense is supposed to indicate the attack hits your shield rather than you. Stone Armor powers do the same thing: the attack hit, but it bounced ineffectively off the rocks you're surrounding yourself with. Other messages include "avoided" (it simply missed), "dodged" (you actively moved out of the way), and "absorbed" (your 'resistance' is so high, you didn't take any damage at all; this is used by Demonic Aura/Eye of the Magus).
Spectral Terror does have a PBAoE auto power Cloak of Fear. As to why it's hitting its allies, I can't say. -
Of course, the Eye of Horus oil spill is worth taking a gander, just once.
And you should go join the people watching Television in the gutter neighborhood of Grandville. Television is everyone's friend, including vigilantes like you. Television is always there for it's friends. -

You're too slow, Dechs. And my internet was refusing to load the page for several minutes, too.

Quote:Assassin's Strike: 389.28 damage at lv50, before enhancement, to a single target.A stalker can take out any boss faster than anything. They have the single most damaging attack out there, and can placate for a guaranteed crit with their next huge attack.
Inferno: 472.22 damage on average* at lv50, before enhancement, to up to 16 targets
* 167.24 of that averaged damage is a DoT over 8.1s.
The damage has a lower bound of 187.68 (0.375% chance)
The damage has an upper bound of 544.29 (37.125% chance)
And let's not even talk about things like Blowback. -
