/hc (Help Channel) is already server-wide. Including cross-faction. I don't think we need a server-wide /b equivalent, because it would quickly get filled with /b/tards. I would remove it from my chat windows immediately after implementation, and if enough people do the same (and I know some would), then it kinda defeats the purpose you want to give the channel.

Quote:I wouldn't say Exalted is designed around min-maxing, but I also wouldn't even attempt to claim that min-maxing is impossible, or even difficult. For example, Dexterity is squarely in the "god stat" realm. Dex is used for hitting things, dodging things, running fast, climbing, manipulating devices, catching, and more. A character with low Dex is frequently left behind (figuratively or literally)Exalted is designed around being a seething hotbed of mini-maxing.
Edit: In Mass Combat, War is the god stat, since just about everything you try to do in Mass Combat is capped by your War rating. (I'd have to look it up, but I believe this does include Mass Social Combat)
Fortunately, in my opinion, there are only two truly "broken" Charms in the published sourcebooks. One of them (Void Avatar Prana, last Charm in Dark Messiah Style supernatural martial arts) should be considered a giant typo (it was added by the editor, not the author of the style), and it is extremely easy to claim that it simply doesn't exist. The other (Zeal) should be considered "lost", since it's in the Dreams of the First Age book. If you want to play a First Age campaign (in which case, all of the players are rulers of the world and they're brokenly overpowered regardless of what Charms they take), fine, allow Zeal. If you want to craft an entire story about learning the existence of Zeal and then rediscovering it, fine, it's an epic story for an epic Charm. In all other cases, I say, "Nope, everyone forgot".
There are a few other scarily strong Charms, but they also tend to require obscenely high Essence ratings (not that Zeal doesn't...), such as Fantasy, which essentially turns a character (not player) into storyteller for a scene. -

Arakhn. I'm unsure about the darkness alien squigglies, but I know I don't want the blades.
Ghost Widow. Again unsure on the squigglies, but I know I don't want the spikes.
Wait, did you say "cute"? I think I may have gone somewhere completely different... -

No, the drop rates are not the same (assuming the rate for SHOs is the same as HOs). No, I'm not sure what the rates are.

Sigium, I don't think the OP was suggesting that everyone hears his music selection, merely that he can change his music (doable by dumping OGGs in the appropriate data folder, or using Splasher).
What you're fighting agiainst wouldn't happen anyway, regardless of potential abuse. If the game were altered such that everyone can hear your music selection, that means you've got to download their song(s), and that they have to upload them. Depending on the file, this could take a while... -
The only remotely hard question was the one about Eastgate, but then The Hollows has "Eastgate Park" and "Eastgate Heights" neighborhoods.
And seriously?Quote:What is that supposed to even mean? ._.173 other people got this result! That's 910%
I mean, I could understand the questions despite typos, but I don't understand how you get 910% out of 173... -

Combat Level: The level you're currently fighting at
Security Level: Your normal level -
Quote:Some others already have triggered spawns. The Kronos Titan, for example, spawns when ou complete the "Stop all Wildflower Agents" mission, after you exit. U'Kon Gr'ai spawns after you've placed bombs on the Rikti mothership.make all GMs be able to spawn by defeating a certain amount of one type of enemy the type that they belong to.
It doesn't really make sense for a fair number of them, though...
Jurassik: He's mutated by the chemicals in Crey's Folly. Who're you going to punch to make chemicals mutate him faster?
Lusca: She's... an octopus.
Paladin: He has to be built by other clockwork. I fail to see how punching clockwork is going to make him spawn, since you need the clockwork there in order to build him.
Sally: Really? -
Quote:That's only for ThugsI believe they're currently selected from a pool in much the same way as the objects from Propel and /e alakazamreact, such that not everyone sees the same thing
Edit: And I'm not certain whether different players see different Thugs models, just that the model is selected randomly. -

The only connection between Arachnos and the Council is that they both began in Italy. Arachnos was founded by The Weaver, who never had anything to do with the Council. The Council was formed by Paolo Tirelli (The Center), who absorbed the 5th Column (then led by Ridolfo Uzzano+Dirge of Entropy=Requiem).
Ridolfo worked for Mussolini before becoming Requiem, and Arachnos (under leadership of The Weaver) helped bring Mussolini to power, so it's hard to see how Arachnos could be a splinter group of the Council. As far as I know, the Council didn't exist (at least not in any significant status) until after Requiem had leadership in the 5th Column; Ridolfo didn't merge with Dirge to form Requiem until after he worked for Mussolini; Arachnos helped Mussolini get to power. -

Quote:It is important to remember that there is NO requirement for the Attack Types (what Defense checks against) to match the Damage Types (what Resistance checks against) for a given power. The attack types might as well be called Hard/Sharp/Hot/Icy/Dark/Bright/Mental/Long/Short/Large for all it matters to the game mechanics.Defense determines whether you got hit or not. If an incoming attack has three components (e.g., smashing/energy/AoE), then if you have any Defense against any one or more of those components, you take the highest Defense number, and that will be the one that determines if you got hit.

Quote:There was a Rad/Son Defender superteam a while ago. The entire video I took of us killing Babbage lasts 58 seconds.A while back I made an attempt to get an all rad team together. It didn't go too far since a lot of the players(who I knew locally in person) migrated to WoW, so I didn't really have much to work with. However what little we did was pretty sick.

To the OP: Since your team of friends is more than 3 people, and you're specifically looking at the 30+ game for your steamrolling hijinks, I strongly recommend a team of Empathy Defenders. Not healers, but actual Defenders - you don't need Stamina, since you can cycle through Recovery Auras; you can stack Fortitude on each other for Defense; you can prevent mezzes with Clear Mind; Regeneration Aura helps keep you alive without necessitating heals; and, once you've got Hasten, Adrenaline Boost, and the nuke from your blast set, you can get crashless nukes, just about every single spawn.
For CoV, I'd strongly recommend a team of 4 Thugs MMs. Enforcers each have Leadership, and their Leadership powers extend to all Thugs, not just your own. Many Thugs MMs together can get pretty ridiculous, especially with Gang War
For both CoH and CoV teams, I strongly recomend getting Leadership powers for all 4 of you. -
I have no issue with allowing players to play across the pond. I doubt you'd get much resistance from the players, but that decision might be up to NCSoft corporate suits, rather than Paragon Studios.

Quote:There's a history here. The short version:I didn't go to the paragon wiki, i went to this:http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/City_of_Heroes_Wiki
It felt clunky, to me anyway. I'm not a power searcher when it comes to wiki
Paragonwiki was moved to Wikia (a wiki hosting site). There was some displeasure with it, and eventually Paragonwiki was moved off of Wikia and onto the Titan Network (a group of CoH-related sites and services). However, the way Wikia works, they don't have to take down their version of the wiki - it's theirs, now. But the general CoH population doesn't update the Wikia version, and it is woefully outdated now.
If you want CoH information in wiki format, use either http://wiki.cohtitan.com or http://paragonwiki.com/ (they are the same site) -
Since I don't think it has been said, Welcome to the game!

We're always trying to improve Paragonwiki. If something is confusing to you, tell us! Ask a question about it here, talk about your confusion on the Titan Network forum, or make a mention of it in the talk page where you got lost. Or, if you learn what you wanted to know, edit the wiki yourself!
Of course, I think the robber also spawns 5 minutes after anyone enters the mission. So if one person enters when the rest of the team isn't even there yet and just waits patiently at the door, the robber might still spawnQuote:If one player has a faster computer, connection, or character and rushes to the bank ahead of everyone else, the robber will still spawn before the whole team can tackle him.

1) I think it will treat you as the higher of your actual team size or your difficulty team size; however, it might just add them and cap at 9 (like an 8-man team on Tenacious/Unyielding before I16). I'm not certain.
2) The whole attack. However, the fact that the attack deals Smashing damage not not necessarily mean it is tagged as Smashing_Attack (which is what allows your Smashing Defense to apply). For example, Fire Ball deals both Fire and Smashing damage. However, Fire Ball is typed as Fire_Attack, AOE_Attack, and your Smashing Defense wouldn't apply against it at all.
Also, only your highest applicable defense applies, it doesn't roll each defense separately.
Also: those aren't random questions!
For a random question, let's say...
3) Turnip? -
