Make it an Assault set: they're already a mix of melee and ranged powers.
-
I thought the temp power doesn't function if you're level 50?
-
It already is:
Nullifier Gun Prototype (5 uses or until end of mission)
Nullifier Gun Mk I (5 uses, Echo obtainable via flashback) -
Quote:It's my experience that the cheaper hotels/motels tend to have better internet: they need some way to draw customers! The bad part is, there's no real metric for this sort of thing either. It's not like $200/night four-star places are any better than $50/night one stars. Hell, in a couple of the places I've stayed, it's been the exact opposite!

Quote:Bodyguard is triggered by both Defensive/Follow and Defensive/GotoBodyguard does give the Mastermind a distinct advantage in terms of personal survivability, but it comes with distinct disadvantage. For one, you lose any and all control over your henchmen, such as where they are positioned, what they chase and what they attack, losing the ability to focus fire on priority targets.

Quote:As far as I'm aware, the EU and NA client have been the same executable since the EU launch.Actually its probably the US client that would get dropped - I think that may actually have happened several years ago tbh - the EU one has multiple language capability and both can currently connect to either server farm by renaming it and maintaining a single product is much simpler.

While I agree it's not the best situation for a Mastermind to be in, it's not unworkable. With Bodyguard and a willingness to resummon pets, you shouldn't be dying any more than your teammates who are doing the same thing (running around ignoring spawns looking for crates). If you're able to stealth and all your pets die (or you die), you can ignore summoning them until a target is found to destroy; with stealth, the NPCs won't bother you unless they're already aggroed or they're throwing AoEs near you.
Besides, it's fine to let all the other ATs have a chance at glory once in a while, you know? -
My speedster MM uses the GvE Jump Pack. Either that, or I send my henchmen up to the tower alone, and hang out on the ground (almost all pets have an inherent +jump height power, which is plenty to reach the turret).

Quote:Kindle store search: "manga"Has anyone tried e-publishing manga for devices like the Kindle, Nook, iPad?
One of the publishers that turns up for several series is even named "Digital Manga Publishing".
Edit: Hmm... the Kindle seems to have an impressive ratio of yaoi manga... -
Rather unfortunate: Hulu pulled the special the same day they put it up. The Burn Notice show page currently says "Due to a rights issue surrounding The Fall of Sam Axe, we have been asked to remove the video from Hulu."
I checked my Hulu queue about 2 hours before it was pulled. I was like, 'In before the delete!' :3 -

Destiny may affect how some people build their character, too.

Quote:No, it's being worked into the next version. But there's always a chance that development on the next version goes catastrophically wrong.Translation:
1) MIDS does not currently support this feature.
2) There is no definite information about when it is going to, except for the fact that the lack of even a decent ballpark probably indicates that it won't be for the foreseeable (near) future.
TL/DR translation: Better not hold your breath.
When the next version will be available is another question entirely. -
The login screen will always be the one for the faction you just logged out of, unless you're launching the game from your desktop. When you first launch the game, you'll get the hero skin by default. You can append the uiskin flag to the launch properties to specify which skin you want. -uiskin 1 is villains, -uiskin 2 is praetorians. When you install from the GR disk, your shortcut will use -uiskin 2. You can edit your shortcut and remove -uiskin 2 to return it to the default.

Quote:Don't forget +3% psi resistance from Aegis.Actually it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a 2% resistance bonus from any IO set. The closest is the PvP unique that gives 3% and that sells for over 3 billion inf. You can get 1% or less resistance to a specific type of damage from a set. And Winters Gift gives 5% resist to cold. But the ability to increase toughness plus every AT-specific power by 2%? doesn't exist in the set bonus world at this time.
-
On the other hand, rather than working for something you already have a lot of (damage resistance), what about something you've neglected? Recharge (Spiritual) and Accuracy (Nerve) both tend to get comparatively light slotting compared to Damage (Musculature). While ED may cut your damage resistance down to a pittance, that's only because you already have a bunch of damage resistance slotted. If you've only got a single recharge slotted in any give power, the bonus from spiritual will be more apparent.
Alpha slot is much more effective at rounding out the character than for maximizing it. -
On the other hand, starting with 16 instead of 24 for a BAF is no problem at all for a halfway-competant league.

Quote:On the other hand, those procs are choices for a single power. Reactive is a choice for the entire character. It may be that Reactive is a great idea... for every power the character has except Mesmerize.People put procs in Confuse. It's not broken, it's a choice. Those procs - if they fire - turn aggro (once the confuse wears off, if anything's alive) back to the user.
People put procs in Flash Arrow. Again, not broken, but a choice, and one that causes aggro to a non-aggroing power.
Your *choice* to use a damaging DOT along with a sleep power is the same thing. And Mezmerise is not just "a sleep power." It is an attack. It causes damage on its own. That damage is what triggers the effect, not just the use of the power. -
Quote:The flip animation of being KBed while flying is roughly half the duration of the non-flying KB animation, and you don't get moved, so there's no need to run into melee (or spend a few fractions of a second flying through the air before performing the animation).Knockback consists of more than just being physically moved back. It also includes the time taken to recover from it. Without that time, knockback is nothing more than repel, only not continuous. There are VERY few situations where being slid 10 feet back without losing the ability to fire powers is meaningful.
I dare say the loss of control and the ability to use powers IS knockback. The distance travelled there is largely irrelevant. So inability to use powers until you get back IS knockback. So no, not just what was asked.
While getting hit with KB while flying does stop you from acting for a short time, the length of time you are prevented from acting is much shorter than it would have been if you had been on the ground.
