The only thing bad about Martial Arts is that it's all smashing, which is hardly a unique problem.

Quote:Depends where they hit you, now, doesn't it? Nothing in this game sans the pre-alpha demo video does anything specific to a region of the bodyPretty unrealistic to live past one or two shotgun blasts to the chest!

And a Hellion is a stupid street thug, so he's not gonna be the best shot in the world. If you managed to wander over to, say, Founder's Falls on your normal human, you'd end up getting sniped by some Cre{#`%${%&`+'${`%&NO CARRIER -

Of course, it can't hurt to ask the professor about it. WRT the fansite kit, the license basically says "so long as you're not making money off of this stuff you can use it" (there's a bit more to it, and it's all in legalese, of course)

It was extremely amusing when paired with the bug that pseudopets you apply damage procs to their owners as well as enemies. I remember for a while someone had a screenshot of himself and a DE monster getting one-shotted by his Freezing Rain

Quote:To be fair, it was on Test, and it was done as a demonstration of a slotting bug with Kheldians (and I believe it was pre-ED, too)No... You must be joking... Pics or it didn't happen!
Gah!
Regardless, my point still stands. Have him solo the STF then. There must be something he cannot do.
Edit: He might have been exploiting a geometry hole in the Hive at the same time, my memory is a little bit foggy on the subject.
Edit: There was also an interesting bug during beta with the Lady Gray proc which caused it to deal so much damage, the game could only display the damage value in scientific notation. It became known as "Lady Gray: Chance to One-Shot". -
IIRC, lv53 IOs existed during beta, but the ability for them to drop never made it to the live servers, and the devs never bother to remove their existence from the game database.

This is not a fact, unless you've either just leveled and have not yet changed zones, or you're looking at the wrong tab in your contacts list. If a contact is in your Active Contacts list, they have something to say to you (which might just be introducing you to a new contact, but it's something).

Quote:The same applies to most MMOs. Hel, The Abyss and The Hive here only go up to 50 players now, though that's more a thing to do with what the devs want the encounter with Hamidon to be like than it is a technical limitation.Planetside did have a mechanism that locked a zone once it reached a certain amount of players. I forgot what the number was but it was in the hundreds not thousands. I think the reason for this is theoretically everyone in the zone could be fighting in the same base so there were some technical challenges.

I found this while looking around for a solution to the problem:

But with recent advancements in Alpha Wave Antitacheon Theory, the money you'll have accumulated after 20 and retiring won't be enough to last you the rest of your life unless you're living in Queens.

Quote:Mirelock is a disease similar to the genetic abnormality Skeletal Moleculodissociation Allele Splicing Hyrdodestablization, colloquially dubbed "SMASH". Unfortunately for those suffering from SMASH, there is no known cure.Further, once mirelock has developed, there is very little that can be done to cure it.

I used to be annoyed by this. Then my NCSoft Master Account got accidentally banned. If the NCSoft Master Account were not separate from the NCSoft Support account, I wouldn't have had a way to get the issue resolved, since at the time the call center was closed.

Quote:During the Rikti invasion at CoH launch, there were devs controlling some of the Rikti, much like the signature characters during CoV launch.Um... no? There was no PVP in the game at all when CoH was launched.
And during the signature character invasion, it wasn't so much PVP as dev-controlled bots. It's arguable to consider them players, since they conned as Hero-class critters and not as player characters. -

Quote:Of course you can. If the arc is not a 45-50 arc, though, the enemies will be capped at the top range of the arc, plus your difficulty (for example, if you started but never finished the The Freaklympics story arc, all of the enemies would be level 29 whne your difficulty is set to +0)I don't think I've ever tried to continue ANY arc post-50, is that possible?
If the arc extends the enemy range to 50, it will be perfectly normal.
Of course you can, assuming you haven't already completed them. If you have already completed the arc, you can only do them again via Ouroboros.Quote:Can a 50 get new arcs?
Yes, but only in Peregrine Island/Grandville. There is also Borea in the RWZ who gives out infinite radio-esque missions, and Marcus Valerius in Cimerora. You can also get infinite missions at 50 from a contact in Warburg (PvP zone).Quote:What about Radios, can a 50 get and run Radios? -

Quote:Correct for Caltrops, incorrect for Acid Mortar. The mortar would proc each time it fires a glob of acid. From the answers already given, it looks like the procs would fire when activated and then every 10 seconds thereafter, so long as the Caltrops and/or Mortar hung around. Yes?
Wait until the next 10-second instance -
And that was, technically, a third version of the zone. (The hero/villain versions of the zone are identical, but the Manticore/Psyche wedding version of the zone had the main chamber with the Pillar of Ice and Flame sealed off, so it was especially noticeable)

Quote:And at lower levels, you don't have a boss to spend 42 end onLosing your boss tier minion means you're facing a cost of 42 end unmodified, which can be really tough at lower levels

No thank you. While this could be done, it would be done as a -end effect on caster for each target hit. But -end effects are not affected by endurance reduction enhancements, so this change would make the upgrades more expensive than they are now (assuming you put endrdx in the default slot), and make endrdx largely useless in the upgrades.
