Then again, Containment doesn't care how the target became contained. A teammate can cast the mez. Or even stationary targets, such as Turrets, Snipers, Lusca, etc. with are stationary due to the fact that they have an inherent power giving them an immobilize.

Quote:No, Fire Ball is not Ranged/AoE/Fire/Smashing. Rajani was pointing out that Fire Ball is typed with AOE_Attack/Fire_Attack, but the effects of the power are to deal Fire damage and Smashing damage.Ya Fireball is a Ranged AoE/Fire/Smashing attack but i was asking if All 3 of the defenses against those are added or not.
It is important to separate Attack Vectors from Power Effects. Despite the fact that many of the Attack Vectors are named identically to Damage effects, they are not the same thing.
Attack Vectors directly map to Defense Types:
Smashing_Attack => Smashing Defense
Lethal_Attack => Lethal Defense
Energy_Attack => Energy Defense
Negative_Energy_Attack => Negative Energy Defense
Fire_Attack => Fire Defense
Cold_Attack => Cold Defense
Psionic_Attack => Psionic Defense
Melee_Attack => Melee Defense
Ranged_Attack => Ranged Defense
AOE_Attack => AOE Defense
Note the lack of 'Toxic_Attack' and 'Toxic Defense' - these two things do not exist.
Damage effects of powers map to Resistance types:
Smashing damage => Smashing Resistance
Lethal damage => Lethal Resistance
Energy damage => Energy Resistance
Negative Energy damage => Negative Energy Resistance
Fire damage => Fire Resistance
Cold damage => Cold Resistance
Psionic damage => Psionic Resistance
Toxic damage => Toxic Resistance
There are also damage types such as "Unique1" which have no matching Resistance type. There is also "Base Defense", which is added to all defense values, and used against attacks without any attack vector. Base Defense is hard to come by; you'll most commonly see it from Defense Debuffs, and from [Personal Force Field]. -
Quote:(emphasis mine)it first increases your maximum hit points, then heals you based on a percentage of the new total.
This is not true. The heal from Dull Pain is still based on your original max health (or, more accurately, a value which just so happens to be a constant percentage of your unmodified max health at any given level, but is not directly tied to your unmodified max health)
The +MaxHealth portion of Dull Pain is broken into two halves, one of which is unenhanceable. So if unenhanced Dull Pain gives you +X max HP, Dull Pain enhanced by 100% gives you +1.5 X max HP, rather than +2 X max HP.
The Heal portion of Dull Pain is not broken into two halves, and is entirely enhanceable. Unenhanced, the heal is exactly equal to the +MaxHealth. However, since the +MaxHealth is only partially enhanceable while the heal is fully enhanceable, and both are affected by the same enhancements, the Heal portion is automatically more powerful than the +MaxHealth portion as soon as you put a -3 TO in the power. -
I really really like that mirrored shot of Desdemona and Malestrom walking into the portal at the same time

I don't see why you come to this assumption. CoV was an expanshalone. GR is a normal expansion. (You can't use GR if you don't already have a CoHV account)
The closest things we've had to an expansion are Good vs. Evil edition and the Mac Special Edition; they didn't increase the number of character slots we had. -
I could've sworn they already take falling damage (unless, of course, you're in the Shard). Of course, since falling damage is very minor except from extreme heights, and it's not like normal damage (it doesn't appear in the combat log, for example), it would be hard to notice without a damage floater. And I don't think they get the floater for falling damage.
In short: I think they do take falling damage, but you're only ever going to notice on very low level enemies.
Also: I'm not sure whether enemies get the same falling damage protection we do (falling damage can never kill you, but it can leave you at 1hp). If they do get the same protection, you'd never kill them by knocking them off a ledge. -

There are a lot of things you can do besides radio missions...
Not that I would mind being able to call the detectives, but deleting a character just because of the PI detective you got seems a little obsessive. -
You should wait until Christmas Eve to get a tree. They become much, much cheaper as time goes on. I remember one year we got a tree that was originally something like $150 for about $10.

Quote:Worth nothing, but even -KB doesn't really help keep a target within range of Hurricane. Hurricane applies both KB and Repel, while the -KB applied by some controls only stops the KB portion, not the repel portion.It's not the holds that prevent KB, it's usually the immobilizes. Most of the ST and AoE immobs from the controller sets also have a -KB component to them, which will help the enemies stay in the Hurricane. It's not that they suppress the KB from Hurricane, they just basically give the enemy some KB mag protection.
Correct, Gravity Control has the -KB swaped between the Holds and the Immobilizes, compared to other sets. -
You missed "Minor", which generally means "We're going to laugh at you for slotting damage in this"

Most likely yes (since it's an account flag), but if your account gets bugged such that you can't make VEATs (which is normally resolved by logging in to a lv50 villain), you may have to swqitch back to redside to fix the bug.

Rajani means we don't really know for sure, because Paragon Studios hasn't told us.

Quote:Why the hell would I try to convince her otherwise? More people's always better at Thanksgiving!Your mother, despite earnest attempts to convince her otherwise, has decided to invite everyone in your family, everyone in the neighborhood and most of the known free world over to the house for Thanksgiving Dinner.

There is no way to precisely do what you're asking. The default behavior for [Tab] roughl does what you're asking, but as you've seen, it's not exactly what you're looking for.
Also, FYI: under the default keybinding, [Ctrl]+[Tab] targets the nearest enemy (what you bound Q to, which defaults to turning left) -

What about (Hero of the City + Master of Statesman's Task Force + Master of the 5th Column Task Force + Master of the Imperious Task Force) for Heroes, and (Made + Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force + Master of the 5th Column Strike Force + Master of the Imperious Task Force) for Villains? That's level 50 and the three "Master of ... Task/Strike Force" badges currently available.

Quote:While they could create NPCs matching your character's powersets and costume, they couldn't make an NPC that replicates your character. For one, a level 50 character gets 24 powers, and the critter AI can't handle that much decisionmaking.The truth: I'm not sure such an idea can be implemented within the game structure as it currently stands.
Other than that, it seems feasible. I'm not exactly sold on the idea, though. -

I haven't had the issue with the NCSoft store, but I got the same error trying to bu something online before. As far as I could figure out, it's an issue with certain international transactions, and you have to talk to your bank about it.
